would something like this be ok ?? oil brand any good ?? It will be serviced twice a year regardless of mileage,, or should I stick to castrol, millers etc never really put cheap oil in me cars but if this stuff is correct I’ll try it

Hi peeps, so had my car about 4-5 months I think. Time for oil and filter change, so what’s everyone’s oil recommendations and is the filter a paper type or canister type,, I normally used castrol magnatec but as I’ve only really driven fords wondered what people use in there cars (Skoda). Oh and how much oil is needed in my Octavia VRS 2010 diesel think I’m gunna need to buy the Haynes manual for fluid types and the quantities 🤣 thanks peeps

Hi peeps,, I’ve tried going on 7zap for the Skoda Octavia VRS but every time I input my VIN it just does nothing and say no VIN found,, as my laptop is down if I post my vin could someone ever so kindly input it in 7zap then post the link for me on here then that way I can just save the link in me favourites and view everything just for my car and not every model hahaha thanks peeps,, I did find that someone had said it won’t let you input vin on a mobile device so wondered if that’s why it won’t for me

Mate this motor practically wipes the spoiler as well 🤣🤣,, I’ll try as you have described but I’ve even got the stop/parked position lower than it was and it still wipers about 3” past the window onto the boot lid 🤣… mill try get a video at dinner to show you 🤣

If your having to strip the mark 3 seats down to place over the mk2 seat frames,,,:: surely you’ll just use your mk2 airbags ??? So no need to to change plugs ?? Or am I reading it wrong 🤣

Morning peeps,; bit the bullet and bought a new rear wiper motor,, check compatibly with numbers and with them and YES they say it fits,, so fitted last night and the arm now sweeps onto the boot lid,, no matter where I try n place the blade to start,, 🤬🤬,, is there something I’m missing,, 🤣,, will message them back regarding this but I’m buggered if I’m taking it off again 🤣

Did think of that but as there isn’t much surface area and the pressure I thought it would just pop back off again 🤣🤣

this is what mine should look like on a new motor

The bit on the black part on the motor has a male fitting and that was in the boot lid, it fall out in the boot when I started popping the clips to remove the trim,, the white connector part on the pipe is a female connection, can’t really get a pic of it now as I’ve put it all back together but it looks like it’s a complete new motor judging by the diagram you showed me 🥲🤣

It’s the bit on the motor that’s snapped and the part you have a pic of is still intact (thankfully) the bit on the motor looks like it kinda clips in so wondered if it was interchangeable or I’d have to purchase a new motor with it on thanks for your help though mate really appreciate it

Good morning peeps, had my car VRS diesel a while now and the rear washer has never worked ?? Read up about the jets been blocked so cleaned up still nothing bought new as you couldn’t move the jets rusted up,, so this morning I decided to remove the boot lid cover and see if I could see anything as it sounded like I could hear water ??? 🤣,, well I’ve just seen that the actual plastic bit on the wiper motor has actually snapped clean off 🤣🤣,, as it’s plastic can that be replaced or is it a new motor ?? thanks peeps,,

Hi mate,, I’ve never had the regen light come on but my revs occasionally do hold at 1000rpm so I take it for a blast down the bypass near me 20 mins at 60/70 mph that seems to work for a week or so,, when car gets warm it seems to stop doing it but I’ve now had P2563 code a lot but still no performance loss even with the EML on

Morning peeps what’s the best scanner tool for my Octavia vRS?? Is there one that can read all modules and add keys as I’ve only got one oh and what sort of price we talking ? I assume depending on make the prices vary thanks peeps
