Was going to take my immobiliser glass tube out of my key and stick it on the new board and then put that in the new housing,,,

guessing something like this would be about right ???

My light doesn’t even flash when I press the buttons I’ve changed the battery 4 times using different brands and still don’t even flash 🤣,, guessing it’s knackered so would need a new board and hope that makes the light work and then see about syncing it up

Morning peeps,, has anyone opened there key or more to the point would anyone know if my key has the glass tube for the immobiliser??? My case is worn and was wondering if you new anything about the inside’s?? This is my key fob below was also wondering if I could swap the board over and see if that helps with using the remote buttons as mine don’t flash even after several batteries thanks peeps

Thanks mate,, is it this bit circled in blue ?? The white/grey cap thing seems loose ?? Rattles if you touch it,, when I did the inlet maybe I’ve moved or split something when moving it out the way, I’ll have a really good look at all the pipes tomorrow when I get to work thanks mate,, P2563 —- turbocharger boost control position sensor A circuit range/performance—- has popped up twice I’m using just a cheapo reader that I’ve had for ages, can’t do ABS or Airbags

Good evening peeps, still having glow plug light flashing issue,,, but I’ve noticed that if I give my car a good thrashing sometimes when I apply the brake pedal it feels like their is nothing there?? Sort of like when it’s pressed no matter how hard I press it the car struggles to slow down,, bit like if you have air in them or there’s a leak 🤣,, pedal is absolutely fine any other time stays solid when pressed doesn’t gradually go to floor,, any ideas as a starting point where to look thanks peeps

Have scanned and no codes mate, only seems to do it from start up almost as if it gets warm ain’t doing it

Morning peeps, took my lad to work and for some reason the glow plug light started flashing about a minute and half then went off,, couple of mins later same thing but on for a bit longer,, have no loss of power no codes and she sounded fine,,, any ideas?? I’ve had a bit of a Google and I’m getting possibly rear brake light sensor ?? Looked on pedal and I can’t see anything (2010 VRS) Or something possibly to do with vacuum ?? Maybe??? Is it something I could have maybe moved or knocked when I did my inlet??? Other than that I did hoover it last Saturday so can’t be needing another vacuum surely 🤣🤣,; thanks peeps ,,

Hi peeps,,, fitted a new inlet due to P2015 code,, all good so far after a week or so,, was I bit of a faff but with my limited knowledge I managed it. forgot to take photos in stages but I got carried away and just ploughed on 🤣. The red circles are were I unclipped hoses so I could wangle it out and get other clips cables etc past to tuck out of the. the inlet is held on by T27 torx I bought a 100mm deep one to get into them, you also need a10mm spline socket for the injector rail and EGR pipe,, 10mm socket for the dipstick bolt, flathead screwdriver for jubilee clips or 7mm socket (I think), 17mm spanner for the injector pipe nuts, I started with unplugging all electrical clips to injectors, rail, egr, throttle body, and then I undid the 4 injector pipe bolts and the one one the left hand side or the rail, unbolted the 2 spline bolts hiding down the rail, then unclipped the injector wiring and pulled the glow plug sockets off and lifted up and to the right out of the way then unclipped the red circled hoses and all the torx holding down the pipes that clipped to the inlet,, removed the rail completely then I just unbolted the inlet and the jubilee clip on the throttle body bottom, EGR pipe making sure not drop the gasket,,and just wiggled the thing out to the right just moving odd pipe clip that got in the way,, kinda like this prior to removing. Once removed I just removed EGR, throttle body cleaned them up , absolutely caked in carbon build up, I then put them on the new inlet and then refitted,, I say it took about 2 hours to do but I spent 30 mins on cleaning EGR ,, oh and don’t forget to unbolt the dipstick I did 🤣 sorry it’s a bit vague but I’ll try n do a bit of a video with pointing at things and where I moved them 🤣🤣 I got the inlet from eBay to £72.88 2 year warranty

Damn guess I’ll just have to keep pulling the adapter out still then 🤣🤣

Morning peeps,, due to my on going P2015 issue I’ve been looking at a new one rather than the flaps replacement, but I’ve noticed on eBay that the the metal type inlet is cheaper than the plastic type?? is the plastic type an upgrade to the metal type ?? and would the metal type still fit my car instead of the plastic one ?? Would there be any side effects to changing to this type. I’m just asking a seller about a plastic type on fleabay that will hopefully fit,, but just curious to see if would be a direct replacement Thanks peeps

No not purchased one yet mate,, but I was looking and have saved Darkside Developments site,, gunna send them a message regarding correct one thanks matey. the one I’ve seen with them is only £24 plus delivery,, and looks like it’s just a 2 new gasket’s and a bung for the arm end

Right P2015 code is now driving me potty 🤣,, I’m now thinking swirl flap delete ?? couple of questions if I may ask?? do I still need to leave the motor attached but not connected and do I need to keep it plugged in on the loom ?? does the kits come with plugs for to swirl flap holes or are they just left as a hole 🤣 is this the sort of kit I’d need,, I assume the red clips are just to block off where the metal rod goes through to link them together?? and the other plug goes in where the arm is ?? would anything need mapping out thanks peeps

Ahhh, never thought of that 🤣 Although I don’t even know if mine has a DPF 🤣 2010 vRS,, I’m assuming it’ll be on the exhaust if it has ?? Would there be a light on dash somewhere to indicate this ?? what’s my best option to try and regenerate it ?? What do I need to do in all fairness never had a car with one cheers mate

Call me stupid but is that the throttle body that sits underneath the EGR valve 🤣🤣,, if it is what’s the best thing to clean it ??? Inside 🤣🤣,, Mr muscle or proper carb cleaner,, I sometimes get the revs sticking at 1000 rpm so hoping a good clean could cure it thanks peeps

Afternoon peeps,, I’ve changed the swirl flap motor and added the aluminium stopper,, but the code P2015 is still there 🤬🤬,, even if I delete the code after a couple of ignition turns it comes back ?? what am I missing or doing wrong 🤣,, anyone have any ideas on what to try next ?? the code says inlet manifold sensor/switch bank 1a or something like that 🤣 thanks peeps

Good morning peeps, another issue with the car 😢,, just dropped the wife off at work and on the way back the glow plug light started flashing and I lost a bit of power turned engine off and the light didn’t come back on ,,; plugged my cheapo reader in and I only have the P2015 code nothing else,; fixing that today!! Cheers mate yes I have thought of that just hope and pray, but at the min no leaks but as you say some nice fresh red stuff will probably ouse from everywhere 🤣🤣
