  1. Morning again peeps,, question 3 of 4 🤣🤣 why do my side lights not work ??? 2010 vrs I’ve replaced bulbs and still nothing sick of people flashing lights to say your headlights aren’t on 🤣🤣
  2. Is the VRS front bumper 2010 model specific to the VRS ??? Asking as mine is broken on the bottom lip and needs replacing (previous owners) but I can’t find one on fleabay?? thanks peeps
  3. Morning peeps, just another daft question but did the Octavia come with global opening closing ??? Asking as I’ve had a fob synced and if I press and hold the windows don’t open or close ??? is it an optional extra or a non feature thanks peeps
  4. Cheers mate looking to get them fitted next weekend and get it 4 wheel aligned
  5. Just bought 4 brand new Pirelli P zero Nero GT’s for Ā£200,, due to needing 2 on the front (really low really 🤣) just wondered if anyone has had them fitted and if they liked them cheers peeps,, oh they not nicked neither the lad bought them for his ST but ended up fitting new alloys with tyres 🤣
  6. I’ll put correct grade/spec but just a cheap one,, I normally do oil every 4 months or so regardless of miles,, most of the time I’m town driving so I’m in traffic get engine hot 🤣🤣
  7. Cheers peeps,,, I don’t think it’s been neglected I’m just really unsure of how long it’s been and what brand, spec has been used,, think I’ll just put some cheapo stuff in then as said drop and put me petronas in šŸ‘šŸ»
  8. I’ll post a pic at dinner captain but I like your idea and it’s a good shout in my book ,,, I’m not bothered about the cost but if I can help with maintaining it and it running longer I’ll gladly do it. already changed coolant and done brake fluid change (only by opening the bleed nipples and pressing brake to drag newish fluid through) just engine oil and gearbox oil to do. But I’ll post a separate question regarding oil and gearbox filling and draining 🤣
  9. Sounds like a good idea In book captain šŸ‘šŸ»only kinda asking as the oil looks really black ,, may do like you say put some cheap oil in for a week or 2 then drop that and replace the filter again as they cheap enough also.
  10. Still waiting to do my oil change and filter but just out of curiosity is it worth putting one of them oil flush treatment things in first ?? Can’t say I’ve ever used one but is it worth it or are they just gimmicks ?? cheers gents sorry peeps
  11. Sorry gents not been on for a while to to family issues 😢 I’ve opened my knackered key to swap the insides with the one I bought off AliExpress,;; but the chip that came with the new fob was a glass tube but my key when I opened was a soldered in chip so I couldn’t swap insides. So I just put old board in but at least my fob now looks nice 🤣
  12. Cheers mate I have a wind back tool kit luckily as my old Mondeo ST was wind back and pass side calliper wouldn’t wind back with cir clip pliers so bought one to find out the calliper was seized 🤣and needed replacing anyway
  13. It’s a pretty bad lip to be honest and I’d rather just replace discs then just whack another set of pads in,,
  14. Cheers mate thanks for that heads up,, will definitely replace the bolts. Just hope they come out as the last owner probably had the same idea re use them coz I’ll not be changing them again 🤣🤣
  15. Morning peeps,, just noticed my rear discs have a really big lip on the edge so going to change them. My question is do the callipers wind back or just push back in ??? Any pointers when doing them or just straight forward thanks peeps
  16. Sorry to jump in mate. I too only have one key and am using a company called immotec he charges Ā£150 for a new key and fob all programmed and cut at my home (mobile) he’s says it’s a second key and not a clone,, also how did did sync fob to your car ??? I’ve a 2010 VRS and have purchased a new circuit board which now flashes when pressed so I’m going swap blade, transponder chip from my key into the the housing. Hopefully without breaking the chip 🤣🤣. Just wondered how you synced the fob thanks mate
  17. Not sure mate I’ve never used it either. But I went for the petronas in the end
  18. I’d dial it to its highest if I did 🤣,,, and say b****cks to on coming traffic 🤣
  19. Cheers mate,, road is pretty flat and because I think it’s to high on pass side I’ve turned the switch/dial adjuster to number 2 so it’s not even further down the road 🤣,, that’s only because I’m thinking it’s dazzling oncoming cars 🤣🤣,, I just dearnt drive with the dial on number 1 coz the beam just seems way down the the road 🤣🤣,, if you get me
  20. A little hard to see but it looks a lot higher on this fence,, level ground,, I suppose I could wait till December for MOT and ask them to check it for me. But when they shine on the road it’s almost like the pass beam is shining a lot further down the road 🤣I’d say about 2 foot tired to get a photo but you can’t really tell
  21. Evening peeps,, think tonight is the first time I’ve driven with headlights on 🤣,,, what I think I’m seeing is that when driving up to another it looks like my passenger side headlight is a bit Māori dazzling then the drivers ?? I look on the floor and it seems like the beam is higher up on the road,, they both adjust with dial ok but is it possible to manually lower the beam ?? As it feels like pass side is dazzling on coming traffic thanks peeps oh if park upto a wall it does seem like pass side is a tad higher on the wall than drivers
  22. Right update on the update 🤣,,, why does nothing ever go according to plan 🤣,,,, took apart the new one and the shaft going into the water housing plastic bit is slightly different… so I tried altering the gear mech as it was set slightly different to mine (sat in different position when in stop position) and that didn’t work 🤣,, so then I swapped the old shaft with the cogs on with the new motor shaft so that the back plate fit on,, so the old motor (mine) has now the new motors wiper shaft,, plugged it all in and hey presto the wipe is now as it should be and the water now sprays out onto the window …… Yippee Pics show that the cogs on new and old are different if you look at the shaft bitthis is the new motor above and you can see I’ve altered the cog to match my original motor,, just see the extra 2 teeth showing
  23. Morning peeps,, awhile back the washer part of my rear wiper motor had broken off (like it when I purchased) so I ordered a new motor off fleabay to which unfortunately was the wrong one but according to them it’s completely compatible 🤣,, can’t be as it over wipes and cleans my boot lid aswell anyway this morning I decided to have a look at the the old motor and strip it down to see if I could modify the washer part to work??? ANSWER I think I can utilise the back plate off the new motor and put it on the old motor thus stopping the over wipe as the old motor is correct pics or the old motor disassembled, I’m hoping the back plate will be a direct fit onto the shaft… hopefully the aftermarket wiper shaft into the washer part is of the same diameter,, pinkies crossed
  24. well MicMac,, upon looking through the sticky thread and you mentioning Petronas I looked it up and seems like a good price and if good enough for you and Lewis Hamilton I’ll buy it 🤣
