Yes loom was exact match. fault existed before loom swap (that was fitted to try and cure the led issue) I'll try to post VCDS log

heated mirrors would be useful with this weather ?

@varooom thanks Its an odd fault, when the fuse for the heated door mirrors is installed the LED light in the d/s door is constantly on regardless of the alarm / central locking status, I have fitted a new genuine door harness to d/s, Fault is still evident when I un plug the door P/S harness ??

As JR replied, important that it is correctly protected at the consumer unit for example and wiring ran correct and secured appropriately, If I was installing that type of socket from scratch Single wire armoured cable would be used, you could always protect the PVC wire with conduit when retro fitting the charging point

Thats just a 240v type industrial socket protected by 40A RCD, used for larger welders and 240v equipment

My recent misfire (diagnosed with vcds by) was due to a faulty connector on coil no. 4 (locking clip broken), I replaced the plug and coil (as a precaution) all fine now. hope this helps

2014 1.4 tsi CTHE. Having difficulty finding which of my 4 cyls is which how are the cylinders numbered 1,2,3,4 from D/S ?

We had an odd sound from the boot / tailgate area of the sons focus, after lots of trim off etc I traced it to the number plate rattling against the tailgate (crappy adhesive pads), renewed with quality items sorted

@Warrior193 Reflectors appear fine, I have projector lenses in the headlights I was thinking this may help with the LED bulb output

As my vehicle is approaching 8 years old does the power steering fluid require renewing? can't find any reference to it in the service manuals, and how would this be accomplished (is it DIY)
