  1. @Aspman Thanks for the pointer, I opted for a reasonable Amazon one that at the moment is perfectly suitable but will retain this link for future reference 👍

  4. Great thread To those of us who have resolved this I for one would greatly appreciate a step by step guide (hopefully with photos) of the re-sealing process
  5. I check mine (strength) using a refractometer approx. every year (top up with concentrate if reqd) and renew every 5
  6. I'll try to get some decent sound clips, no idea how but I'll try
  7. Fantastic, good to hear 👍
  8. I don't know of a scrap yard that you can now actually look around and pinch light bulbs from nowadays
  9. My review of the Exhaust work I had carried out I took my 2014 fabia 1.4 TSI CTHE into Tony Banks exhausts Leeds for a hand made 2.5" mandrel cat back system with twin black chrome tailpipes to be made and fitted (rear back box on mine was corroding heavily). After discussions with David Banks we decided upon an un-resonated system with resonated back box bypassed by a valve unit. dropped the vehicle off at 07:00 and collected at 17:00 where I was given a full run down on the system and shown the installation (I can understand why it took 10 hours from start to finish to hand build such a system), all is very well fabricated and welded, nice and secure tucked up out of the way and tailpipes positioned and orientated perfectly. I also had supplied a front resonated quick change section (in case I found it to raucous). Sound is as I requested both in "normal" mode with slightly more bass tone and in bypass position where I get a lovely deep growl and DSC blip changes with some crackle on overrun. I would recommend these guys if you are looking for a bespoke unit. In my opinion I got great value for money from a very knowledgeable and caring business, not associated or sponsored just positive feedback where appropriate
  10. Outcome of this was The red purple wire (Fuse SB28 (10A) on pin 6 of T14a (14 way connector on p/s inner wing suspension tower) is indeed a key controlled + all be it with a delay off by about a minute, I've tapped in to it (max draw for existing circuit 3.75A, max draw by valve control 2.5A) so electrically fine. All operates as expected many thanks for the assistance
  11. Letting me get used to the system and I'll post a review
  12. Opted for a cat back front resonator delete 2.5" mandrel bent all stainless with resonated back box with bypass valve. very happy with the normal sound and valve open sound. Twin black chrome tail pipes Also got an optional front resonator I can simply fit as there is a removable section incorporated into the system to accommodate it
  13. @Breezy_PeteI have downloaded the applicable schematic (after a bit off a faff) and will progress this tomorrow when its a bit warmer Thanks again for the assistance
  14. Which relay do the wires originate from I'm assuming I'm on the correct connector, 14 pin one mounted to Pass side shock tower to the side and behind the battery
  15. @Breezy_Pete Same (pos 12v) with key fully removed
  16. @Warrior193 That is handled separately by the control unit supplied by a fused supply from batt +, but thanks for the input
  17. @Breezy_Pete Both these wires test +12 permanent key on or off Can you point me in the direction of an appropriate wiring schematic please ?
  18. Wire colours/easy access location ? or a copy of the wiring diagram for reference would be great
  19. @Breezy_Pete 500ma required to power an exhaust bypass valve, I'll research the max current draw on the circuits protected by fuse 3 (shan't be putting a 15A fuse in lol) Thank you for the help (Again)
  20. As the title has anyone identified a keyed + in the engine bay ? if so where was it and the wire colour if possible As ever any assistance welcomed
  21. @stonekeeper Possibly
  22. Hmm With the snow this morning (3") the the number of EVs that were falling foul of the hill in our street was surprising, unable to slow enough to make the stop at the junction and equally number (probably) unable to maintain momentum / traction up the incline, could it be extra weight, higher tyre pressures ? driver ability ?
