Software Updates Post Warranty Expiration
I know of some users in Poland, that have 1898 in NEW cars, collected during autumn. That would be H56. Don't know however anyone with 1899. Also don't know anyone that would receive major OTA, just some small ones. But actually those small OTA's might still bring some changes. I have received one of those few weeks ago, and recently it occured to me, that since that time i haven't had a single SOS module issue (no "pop pop" and no disconnections), so i assume it was related.

Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto
Haven't tried with O4, as i had it by default, however i was able to active it for a friend of mine in his Formentor. If i iremember correctly, it was same coding as in following thread: https://forum.obdeleven.com/thread/13732/wireless-android-auto In some cars it also required activating 5GHz WLAN, but in his car it was already enabled.

Re map
Why would you think 1.5 is more of a concern? DQ200, unlike 1.5, has a long history of failures (clutches, mechatronics, housing). So far 1.5 been reliable, except for kangaroo (but it's not really something that would render car useless, or require engine swap under warranty). Haven't heard of any major mechanical design flaws, as well as issues with equipment like turbo. Same thing with 1.4 EA211, on which 1.5 is based. I know you don't like those engines for some reason, but they are good.

Remap / chiptuning available for the 2.0tsi VRS!
Are you sure it's DQ381? 381 is meant for 4x4, vRS is FWD, so it should have 380. Anyway of course all of those numbers are given with some tolerance. As far as i know in reality DQ200 is ok up to 300Nm. You can increase that somewhat by increasing hydraulic pressure for clutch operation, as well as using torque limiter on 1st and 2nd. And this is why DSG remap should be done. Edit: Now i read your link. Interesting, didn't know 381 is AWD AND FWD. Always thought it's AWD only, and 380 is FWD only. Well, we learn whole life, and die stupid anyway

Travelling by Ferry
Was the same in my case. First ferry was from Tallin to Helsinki (2 hours), but second one was from Finland to Sweden, and this one was 8 hours. Haven't really caused any issues.

If i see correctly you got roughly 80Nm more than stock. I would say DSG remap should help to extend clutch and gearbox lifespan. To some extent, yes. Part of DSG remap is setting torque limiter on lower gears. It's different all over Europe. 2 years is minimum you can get, and this is what you get also in Poland. You can extend it. However for example Seat had 5 years of warranty in Poland for many years now, while in UK it was 2 or 3 years.

Travelling by Ferry
Well, did that twice during summer. First time i forgot to disable interior monitoring, and alarm was triggered. Second time i remembered to disable it, and... alarm was triggered I'm getting notifications from Skoda app/servers each time. Seems interior monitoring is not enough, as there is also tilt sensor as towing protection, and this one is triggered on the ferry. I haven't found a way to disable it. My advice - don't worry about it. Half of the cars on the ferry had their alarms on.

Re map
Yes, there are (i cannot give you details, unless you need some from Poland ). You can also get a decent box, like DTE one. BUT i guess i would skip it. Manual gearbox so far seems to be made from paper, and DQ200 DSG doesn't really like remaps (there's a reason it's used for engines UP TO 250Nm, which incidentally is what 1.5 does). It's possible of course, but either it will cost quite much (replacing DSG clutch set for stronger one) or will decrease gearbox lifespan. Up to you.

Mk4 VRS Manual box - Clutch slipping at 18 months old with 19k miles. Skoda saying they won’t help
So good news for you, at least in a way

MkIV Octavia VRS Audio upgrade - disappointing
There is Canton system for O4, but currently it's not available due to chip shortages. It was available for only about 1 year since car launch. At the moment Canton can only be ordered for Superb and Kodiaq. So if you want upgrade, you need to do it on your own, as we did. Depending on the setup it can cost roughly the same (or a bit more) than Canton. In my case it was more or less 20% more, but sounds much better than Canton to my ear.

Headlight condinsation - anyone else getting it?
It was more refering to your previous posts, and you admitted this only after i have specifically asked But let's just call it a simple misunderstanding and move along, ok?

Headlight condinsation - anyone else getting it?
Checked out of curiosity, and at the moment in Poland there's only dCI 115, so no way to compare it to 150HP TDI. Also checked petrol - TCe140 could be compared to 1.0 TSI when it comes to performance. So matching the options and engines Megane is similar or more expensive than O4. But as said - this is NOW and in Poland... What do you mean by "poor implementation"? I'm not getting those errors out of nowhere, so for me implementation is good. But maybe, as i mentioned before, you car has more gremlins? Maybe there is issue with one of the control units or cabling? As said - level of complication of those cars is so high, that it's easy to get some random errors in some cars, while others are ok. Yet based on YOUR O4 and YOUR Megane you draw a conclusion, that all O4 have problems with condensation, and Megane's doesn't. Or at least it sounds like that.

Headlight condinsation - anyone else getting it?
I'm actually pretty sure, that it had the same note in the manual - that condensation CAN happen and is normal in case of LED lights. Your didn't have it, but there might be multiple different users who had condensation in the same model. The same way as i don't have condensation in my O4 headlights. Also didn't have it in previouse Ateca and Leon 5F, but i know from the forums that SOME users had it. If you are going to judge cars based on some users, do it also for the car you're comparing it to. I've had only front assist error due to dirty windscreen (yes, FA is using camera in O4 for detecting other road users, not only cars). Also had manouvering assist errors once, but that was after coding something, never happened again. Had FA not available in Ateca, but only during heavy snow or rain. Might be. Unfortunately level of complication of those cars is ridiculous, and this causes some cars behaving differently to others. Was it also cheaper when you got O4? Please remember about enourmous inflation of car prices during recent 2 years.

Canton 'forgets' EQ settings.
Try another dealer maybe?

Pop pop,SOS
It's because when they start showing the flaws, they will loose access to cars, and probably some advert income. Simple as that

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
That's true. Interestingly head unit proves to be quite capable, if only given good enough speakers. Factory speakers in new Leon sound MUCH better, but there are 20cm speakers vs 15,5cm in O4. I have replaced speakers to Focal IS VW 165 and it sounds great.

MkIV Octavia VRS Audio upgrade - disappointing
Interesting. So how are those speakers powered, since head unit only has 4 channels of amplification? Answer is: in basic systems XO is passive, and tweeter and mid-woofer are powered from the same amp channel. In such case there's no way to use active XO. Active XO is only used in some cars with optional audio system, which have more amplification channels. No. They are simply using EQ dependant on volume level. You can check link i have provided earlier, wich has examples or parametrization for MIB2.

MkIV Octavia VRS Audio upgrade - disappointing
Forgot to answer this one. There is no "actively shifting active crossover" here. Head unit only has 4 channels amp, so no active XO here. XO is actually only a cap on tweeter side, and mid-woofers act as full range speakers, which only adds to their crappiness. Active XO for sure is used in Audi's with optional sound system, might also be in Canton, but am not 100% sure. Can't remember if i mentioned it in this thread. I have Focal IS VW 165 in the front, and IS VW 155 in the back. With your Flax it should sound only better... Yes, i have basic system (Columbus, but no Canton, 8 speakers). Yes, and it sounds very good. It's not high-end sound, but sounds very good. I had that with factory speakers, but with Focals bass is deep enough for me, but this is based on my music taste (mostly rock and metal - usually bass guitar is the lowest frequency, which is around 40Hz, so seems my setup is playing it nicely). Nothing like that here, and i have everything set to 0 (both in HU and Axton). Well, i don't know how house and rap sound, but pop, vocal music, rock and metal sound good in my case. Clear, selective sound, with good details, deep (enough) bass, very good vocals and very good sound stage. I don't think it's crap. I think it's not connected and/or configured correctly. That would probably make things easier, expecially that basically all DSP amps have 4 channels of amplification, but 5 channels DSP, so that they can also serve active subwoofer. I'm also wondering about that. Would be good to check, as this MIGHT be your issue. Yes, it does. You can control gain (and this is one of the things i would check, based on your sound description), enable high pass and low pass filters and... i think that's it But gain is definitely one thing to check. Another thing you could check (but requires some work) is to set tweeter to -3dB in your crossover. But that depends on what do you mean by "harsh" sound? Is it too much treble that is not pleasent? If so, than changing that XO setting might help. If also mid range is harsh, than it's probably something else. Might be wrong gain setting, or messed up wiring of sub. Hard to say, as differences between amps can be rather big. Especially between cheap D-class amps and cheap AB-class amps. Also i'm also running rears from the same amp, so am kind 2 channels short for this kind of excersize Maybe in the future i'll work on that, and get another amp for rears, but for now i think i'll leave it. Noticed that biggest difference between Axton and HU is at low levels, and this is when i'm travelling with my family. So will keep it, and play with it a bit. Just need to get dummy load for Axton, so that HU doesn't complain about disconnected speakers, and run additional power cable for the amp (from fuse meant for Canton).

I have installed Axton. Although i'm not 100% if i will use it or return it, i have to say i haven't experienced any issues described by some, concerning adaptive EQ. Axton sounds very good, it's improvement over built in amp, especially at low volumes. However i'm wondering if i should keep it, as most probably i will not use it's DSP, so maybe it's better to get "pure" amp for the same money? Chances are, that it will sound better than Axton. Yes, center speaker plays music. Found that out when connecting external amp. It doesn't do very good job, but fortunately it's so low volume, that in my case it doesn't mess up the overall sound.

Crazy white noise that won't go off!
Skoda knows it exists, but some dealerships might not know that. Maybe they will try to replace the amp? Maybe new ones have this issue fixed? Or maybe they will try firmware upgrade, which otherwise they would not? Worth a shot, of course granted this is not the only thing one would visit dealership for. But maybe combined with regular service or something? This resets only infotaiment/head unit, but not the amplifier.

But this way you could actually test if it's in fact amplifier and give hint to dealership when reporting it
