I had update done by dealership yesterday. The are using ODIS, so it's a bit different than using USB - different connection and protocol. Update itself took roughly 45 minutes.

It should be. User cannot change anything, so no way he/she can break it. I know several people who got this done under warranty, as for example their cars were breaking without any reason (front assist thought it "sees" something). Yes, MIB is infotaiment unit

I'm afraid it might be related to radar somehow. Whether it's hardware or software it's a different story. BUT as far as i know it's not related to MIB software in any way. If it's software, than it's either radar or driving assistance controllers, not MIB. Might be, that all it needs it radar calibration. Calibration issues were very common in previous generation of cars based on MQB.

So you haven't searched enough I have replaced speakers, and i don't have Canton. Information on speakers, connection method and some photos of the door that explain on how to do it. Instructions on how to remove front side windows so that you can dumpen the door inside. Everything is there. Also info on plug and play amplifier that works very well with O4 and those speakers. Everything can be found. Please use search. To answer just on how easy it is - fairly easy if you are more or less good with tools and possibly have removed door cards in any car before.

ACC requires some getting used to. I had the same issue in my Ateca i had before. Almost never used ACC. But now in O4 i got used to it. You just need to remember, that sometimes it requires intervention from driver if you don't want to slow down when you have a car in front of you. Now i like it very much. Well, not entirely true You are right, it cannot be enabled by default, BUT it can be coded with OBD11 or VCDS. This way you are getting additional option - ACC, normal CC and speed limiter. I have it coded, and... used it once for testing As said - i got used to ACC and now don't see the need for normal CC.

Bolero and Columbus are now the same thing, with sat-nav blocked in Bolero by software. So yes, this software is for both Bolero and Columbus. Not for Swing though as far as i know, as it has own software train.

@tdaniel actually AFAIK they have removed glovebox cooling in MY24, so all cars made after August 2023. One of the changes for new model year. But i guess you could still add it on your own if you need it. Parts are very cheap (valve and pipe).

I bet they (VAG, not dealership) can check logs on the OTA server to know, if it really came automatically. And believe me, they can get very creative if they want to void your warranty, to stop paying for repairs 😞

It's easy - this is TPI, which one can use to "force" dealership to upgrade firmware to 1941. You have TPI number which you can use, and all problems it's supposed to solve. So if you want upgrade done by dealership, call them, report one of the issues from TPI, give them TPI number and you should be set. Do you now know how it relates to latest firmware?

Or at the dealership, by reporting MIB restarts and providing them with TPI number provided by @TheUltraRunner

Probably your dealership forgot to remove transport blocks during pre-sales maintenance. Check if you can see some rubber blocks in your coils.

@NotAgainM8 seems most of your issues are not real issues, but things not working as YOU would like them to. And some of those are not even VAG/Skoda choice, but rather required by law. Like: This behavior is required by WLTP certification. Car has to always default to the mode, that was used for certification. If VAG/Skoda would change it, they would not get cars certified. You're comparing two very, very different cars. Rapid was based on old platform and was nowhere near Octavia when it comes to suspension, tech/ body rigidity etc. My wife is driving 2013 Ibiza estate, which is based on same platform as Rapid. There's a HUGE gap between Ibiza and O4 in every aspect, of course in O4's favor.

Device doesn't really matter (ok, it does for iPhone users ). What matters is license. You need to get a pro subscription for manual codings. Without pro, you can only use one click apps and i think ready the error codes and parameters for diagnosis. I think that was always the case in VAG cars. Had exactly same behavior in Leon 5F and Ateca. Same for coolant temp. It's 50 celsius.

Well... No. Bolero and Columbus share exactly same hardware, but by default on Bolera SatNav is blocked. However now you can buy SatNav for Bolera from Skoda online store for half of the price of Columbus... Skoda - simply... messed up. @SouthernComfort Swing has volume and menu dials and smaller screen. Bolero and Colmbus are identical - no dials and bigger screen, touch only. If you have SatNav option, than you have Columbus (unless car was bought second hand and previous owner bought SatNav option for Bolero But than again you essentially have Columbus anyway). No SatNav means Bolero. Hope this helps. BTW - Bolero and Columbus have main infotaiment unit behind the glove box, where in case of Swing tablet is actually main unit. It makes a difference when planning audio upgrade and addition of power amp. In case of Swing it's much more of a hassle due to very limited space behind the unit.

Glad i could help It's strange though, as for me it started happening only after i changed the coding. Before no one was flashing me when i had AFS on. To be honest tried to figure out how AFS works in O4, but couldn't. It's really strange. For example in matrix headlights you can see clearly, that it has static cornering lights, but for some reason i have never seen them in action, instead fog lights are used as cornering lights. Tried to find some coding options, but couldn't figure it out.

You can disable AFS in vehicle settings->headlight. It might be called differently, like "assisted headlights" or anything like that. In my case it's second option from the top. As for maps, if you have Bolero, than you have maps, but not navigation. Car is using maps for many purposes, including matrix headlights and travel assist. Bolero and Columbus are basicaly same hardware, with satnav blocked in software for Bolero. But maps are there in both cases, and are actively used by multiple systems in the car.

Try to disable AFS in the vehicle settings. Recently started to see same thing in my car, however i've been changing headlights coding (enabled map assisted AFS). For now driving with AFS disabled and no one flashes me.

Amp located behind glovebox, between steel frame of the dashboard and side of the car. Not a single wire was cut during installation of both amp and speakers. Everything just works. Although one thing requires some work. If you plug the amp directly, you will get speaker open circiut error in 5F module (however everything works). If you want to get rid of an error, you need dummy load. You can either solder resistors directly to Axton's harness, or buy load simulator from Axton and connect it between the amp and harness. HOWEVER this simulator only works for rear speakers by default, so you need to solder additional 2 resistors to it.

Yes, plug and play. Actually Focals are also almost plug and play, just need change of plstic part of the plug. No need for spacers etc. Together they sound very good, but of course with better speakers it can be better

Some people did it. I got Focal ISVW 165 to the front, and 155 to the back + added Axton A592DSP amplifier. Very, very pleased with how it sounds now, with no need for the sub at all. Bas is deep, powerfull enough and extremely well controlled. However those speakers are 2 Ohm, which you don't like Sounds definitely better than Canton. Actually sound better than Maridian in my nephew's 2016 Jag XF. You could also go with higher speaker model, like Flax or K2 from Focal. I actually recommend Focals, cause i like their "house sound"

In theory each vehicle should have individually calibrated data. So in theory everyone should check their own backup, to get this data. However your screenshot makes me wonder, if they are really calibrating this in the factory, or if they are providing same data for all? In your case it's identical to mine. If they provide same data, that could explain why some user complain about being flashed at, and some not. Maybe in some cars these values are simply not correct, and matrix should be properly calibrated, and in others it works ok?
