Yes that’s the reading with the car running. But didn’t put on Headlights,fan.ac or radio.

Mechanic checked the alternator and said it was perfect. Not sure why the other place my dad went to said it was needing replaced. got the varta A7 (e39) agm battery today and installed it myself and did adaption with vcds. This is the voltage now I’m getting with and without started.

How do I check that? If my car is left overnight and start first thing in the morning it starts fine and throughout the day too. It's only when I leave the radio on with engine off for 5/10 minutes I then have problems starting the car and have to jumpstart it. If my alternator was fault I would have had issues starting at all times no?

This is my current battery state on vcds kind of feel battery doesn’t look good. I’m certain the alternator is good so not sure why the local garage feels it’s needing replaced. I’ve ordered a varta e39 agm battery for £148 so will replace this tomorrow and check what voltage I’m getting. I will also program it with vcds.

UPDATE my father just came back from The local garage and got the battery and alternator checked and mechanic said the alternator is very weak. Battery is perfect.

Oh ok. I will take it down to a local garage to inspect the battery and alternator on Monday and see what they say. I have noticed that every morning when car had been left overnight on driveway they it cranks first time. But if I’m parked up and car is switched off but radio running for like 5 minutes is when the car won’t crank up and I have to jumpstart it. I would have thought the battery would be the culprit but then again could be the alternator too.

I am a taxi driver so most of my runs are short but I do big runs too. I’m going to hook up vcds and check what voltage I’m getting. I will report back shortly.

Hi guys quick update on this issue. Finally got the car sorted. Dropped car off to a GEARBOX SPECIALIST in Glasgow on Monday and had new clutch packs and DMF replaced. Cost me £2100 in total for repairs. Car drives just like new and gear changes are much better as well. Specialist did show me the old DMF and said it was needing replaced as it had too much play on it.

I have cleared the current fault code hence i am uploading a older scan of my car. I am not sure if this would help.

Hi guys I'm having my EML coming on every day and it's really starting to annoy me. I've checked my dpf reads and get the following below. I've went and bought a new G450 sensor for Skoda today and want to change this and do the adaption for the new sensor and force regen. Can someone tell me the UDS adaption I need to follow once the new sensor is changed and can you also tell me if these soot and ash levels look okay Sorry best picture I could do.

First part of video I did but when I click on basic settings of transmission pops up saying Aborted straight away.

I've checked my DPF lifespan and my spot levels are not high. So that's not a worry for me thinking my DPF is bad. Could be a sensor issue but I will post up stats of the dpf shortly. Regards to doing DSG adaptions I don't know which one I am meant to try as there's lots of posts showing on Google but not wanting to risk damaging anything further if I do the wrong adaption. I have UDS showing on mines.

I'm a private hire taxi driver toots. Neither of the mechanics technicians plugged anything to my car to check if any fault codes appear. How ever past few days I've started getting my EML appearing which shows following message regards to dpf (p2002 particulate trap efficiency fault). getting I've scanned my car with VCDS and no other faults appeared when I do a full scan other than the fault code mentioned above. I've asked other Skoda drivers who also do private hire in Glasgow and no one has had this kind of fault I'm having. My father said he will take the car down to Bradford during the week and get one of the mechanics he used several times for other cars to get a DSG specialist to check there. I will do what TheClient mentioned above and see what results I get back and post my results of the scan on here.

Both these places I went to didn't charge for a full diagnostic check but only driven the car. I don't get any fault codes showing on the dash. My local garage said they only seen clutch and DMF change together is there was fault codes showing on the dash or if I was having issues changing gears. Only issue I have is when going up steep hills in certain parts of Glasgow is when I hear a loud squeel or when it's changing gears from 1st to 2nd and onwards. Then at times I don't hear anything. I'm a private hire driver so I'm always on the road. What guide would I use to check with VCDS?
