Hi,Cruise control has nothing to do with the multi function steering wheel,if your car came without mfsw most likely you will need a new or used bcm,medium or high, at the moment I'm pretty sure you have low,you need a new steering wheel or just the buttons,the airbag is the same, 4 or 3 spoke.you need a new wiring loom for the airbag and multi function.and then you need to remove the bcm component protection at a skoda dealer or someone with odís.It's not difficult, i did it myself.

Yes,the car was very cheap, but already had a 5 speed,for 200 euros i got everything needed to make the conversion.i bought the car for 5000 €, plus 200€ of the gearbox, 5.200 €. I'm not quite sure where you will find a 6 speed skoda octavia 3 from 2015 with 115.000 km for 5200.thats basically the reason.

Hi,i was wondering if anyone has done a conversion from 5 to 6 speed on a skoda octavia 3 1.6 tdi, 81kw, engine cxxb? Or if anyone knows which gearbox will be plug and play? Same axles, same clutch,same starter motor? And will i be able to code the gearbox with vcds or obdeleven? Thanks in advance,cheers.

Yes,it is plug and play if you already have the unit on the glove box,if not you need an extension from aliexpress,you can also get the USB from aliexpress,maybe 25 euros altogether.i did the same retrofit,i had a swing unit,had to change cables and everything, but it is straightforward.

Hi,the swap is not a straight swap.at the moment you have a display and unit together,if you want to upgrade to colombus or amundsen you need to change the glove box insert to acomodate the new unit,you need a new cable extension and most importantly you will have to deal with component protection and the radio itself can be very expensive,a used unit amundsen coast around 600 euros.plus the insert and work.i would say around 1000 euros for everything.

Hi,by activating smart link you will have access to android auto and Apple car play. I didn't look at the video you posted but I'm assuming it's relating to cracking the unit,it can only be done if you have a unit on the glove box with 2 sd cards.i have my unit cracked and everything works fine.

Hi everyone,sorry for going back to such an old thread,but but someone can help me with something concerning this retrofit.i got a donor car and isolated all the cables from boot to bcm,door control module and can gateway,but when i was taking out the whole loom from the donor car i cut all the cables that looked like that had nothing to do with the rear of the car anymore,but later i found out that from the center console button there are 3 cables,and by accident i cut the brown,now the problem is i don't know where that brown is going,can gateway? Body ground?thanks.

Hi all,i replaced the BCM from low to high.Component protection removed,now have a serious of problems concerning lights,i copied the long coding from the old one with no good results,everything else works,except the messages on infotainment about check lights and the lights acting funny. does anyone have the oem adaptations for module 09 for octy without xenons,LEDs pretty basic,year 2014.Thanks.

Hi,anybody have the workshop manual for the skoda octavia 3,year 2014?in fact, just need the electrics part,I bought for a really good price a Octy 3,but it's very basic,I've changed quite a few things, multifunction steering wheel,confort lights,updated the stereo and so on,now I'm working on installing rear power windows,but I'm a bit stuck.In desperate need of the wiring diagram from the back doors to front doors and BCM. And bare in mind that I'm no electrician,does anybody have a diagram for idiots? Thanks.

Hi all,been searching everywhere with no avail,has anyone here retrofitted rear power windows on a 2014 octy 3?I have all the door looms for the backs,drivers door, original from a scrapped car,buttons,all 4 new door cards,I'm stuck on wiring from the rear doors to the front doors,power and hearth it's sorted,just need to know the pins for connecting from the rear doors to the BCM on the front doors,thanks in advance.Cheers.

Hi,maybe I didn't make myself clear, my octavia is a pre fl,the wheel im using is from a fl octavia.and yes, everything works fine,the air bag is the same,only had to change the can gateway and the air bag cable, all the rest was done at a skoda dealer and it coasted 40 euros. The wheel with multi function coasted 100, the can gateway 65 and the cable 20 plus service 40. pretty sweet deal.but if your car doesn't have cruise control from factory you also have to change the steering wheel ring ,or whatever is called,go for it,it makes a huge difference in the car.

Hi everyone, does anyone knows if the airbag of a pre fl octavia 3 will fit on a steering wheel from a fl octavia? Have a good deal on all the parts needed to make the swap,my octavia doesn't have multifunction,all the parts should be plug & play, only thing I'm not sure is the airbag. Thanks in advance.

Hi folks, any help is appreciated. I have a octavia 3, 2013 that came with the basic radio, blues. I have a good deal on a swing 6.5 mib2, from a octavia FL. Is the swap plug & play, or do I need to change anything? Maybe the USB? The swing has the android connection thing. Thanks.
