1.5 sportline DSG
Depending on what spec Octavia and wheel/tyre combination you’re coming from just make sure you’re happy with the ride quality on the 19” rims and 40 profile tyres. Even though I recently sold my 23MY SportLine with 14k miles, they’re decent cars and in my opinion a much nicer drive with the DSG over the manual.

Fitting Variable Boot Floor to Scala
Bit of a thread resurrection as I’m just about to attempt fitting the variable boot floor myself. So if anyone has any more hints or in particular photos of fitting the brackets id be more than grateful to see them. @Dave_75 do you still have the photos you mention in the first post? I’ve managed to source all of the parts so far except for the actual floor section itself, I’ve found a couple of suppliers but trying the find the keenest price as possible.

Unlocking with Kessy
I found the trick with the virtual pedal was to immediately step backwards as soon as you’d waved your foot underneath, I was told it was a safety feature to prevent being smacked in the face by the boot lid 😆

Tyre Sealant
I’ve got a bottle of the ‘genuine’ stuff for sale in the classifieds at the moment, is it any better than off the shelf stuff, I’ve no idea.

Full Set of Karoq Rubber Mats (x5)
Full set of five Genuine Škoda Karoq rubber mats. Recently removed from my Karoq after approximately 12000 miles from new, in great condition (I haven’t had chance to clean them properly yet so they’re exactly as they were when removed) no signs of wear on the drivers mat. Great fitted mats, I bought the same type again for my Scala. £40 plus any postage at cost- happy the meet/deliver locally. Got a few more bits to list in the coming weeks; genuine Karoq roof bars, aero inserts, ISOFIX covers etc.

Snapped this on my phone on the way back into the house after cleaning it so not great quality and also a weird composition but thought it looked quite cool when converted to black and white.

Delivery time from UK Port
Speaking from personal experience, from the point of the car arriving in the UK (Sheerness in my case) to picking it up took approximately 3 weeks, this has been the case for me on two occasions although there are a lot of factors at play. Your dealer should be able to give you more accurate information regarding the car’s whereabouts and timescales to prep it through their workshop.

New car day
So far so good, it’s very relaxing to drive compared to the manual Karoq I traded for it and and has more than enough gadgets to keep me amused. I haven’t tried the ACC yet, that’s next on the list to try. I didn’t opt for the powered tailgate on this one but had it on my previous Karoq, the ‘trick’ I found to getting the virtual pedal to work was to do a slowish, deliberate kick under the centre of the rear bumper and then immediately step back. I found if I didn’t step away the boot wouldn’t open which I assume is a safety feature. Have you looked on your digital certificate in the Skoda app? That should list all fitted features so the virtual pedal should be mentioned there.

New car day
I was lucky enough to take delivery of this yesterday and so far after putting 110 miles on it already I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it’s a far more comfortable, and more importantly, relaxing drive than my manual Karoq SportLine ever was. Looking forward to a few road trips in it now 😁

Scala virtual pedal.
According to the latest online brochure it does (UK01/25) but there have been issues with what the brochure says and what you actually get. Would it be a factory order or something in stock?

Sportline Edition
I’m trading my 23MY Karoq SportLine in on Saturday and picking up a new Scala, I noticed that’s also got the new style badging on the steering wheel.

Sat Nav - how to
I agree with @thamestrader the native satnav is truly awful, I’ve always found that a good metric for usability is if you can input an address/postcode without having to refer to any instructions, it’s really not very intuitive. Google Maps/Apple Maps/Waze - take your pick, all infinitely easier and better to use.

Skoda-parts.com
Hopefully this is the right place to put this but just to say I used this company this week, ordered this Monday and arrived today. I was a bit wary of ordering as I’m in the UK but all turned out well; some great prices compared to UK equivalents and fast, reasonable delivery cost via FedEx. No affiliation other than a happy customer. https://www.skoda-parts.com/online-store.html

One-shot windows?
That’s great, thanks for that 👍

One-shot windows?
Quick question for the Scala drivers; are the windows one-shot up and down? I’m getting one in the next couple of weeks and forgot to ask/check at the time. (It’s a Monte Carlo spec if that makes a difference) Cheers!

Dealership Offers
Too many variables to give an accurate figure; spec, condition and what you’re trading it against all play a part. Put your reg into one of the online car buying sites, Carwow, Motorway etc. and that’ll give you a figure to play with. I’ve used Motorway once before and it was a seamless, easy process. There are some decent deals at various dealers going on at the moment too, I’ve just taken advantage of 0% APR on a PCP offer.

Nearly 2 years of ownership.
I’m in a similar position to yourself, SportLine coming up to 2 years old in March that also seems to develop a new rattle or squeak every other week. I’d like to say I’ve enjoyed the car but it’s left me feeling a bit meh in all honesty, not sure what gearbox you have but I have the manual with a 1.5 TSI which I find a truly awful combination. I have however also decided to give Škoda another go but not with another Karoq. Did the oil pump issue cause a total engine failure?
