  1. I believe the wireless charging only comes as part of the package with the full virtual cockpit on the SportLine, mine doesn’t have wireless charging (and specifically didn’t want it) so no great loss to me. In hindsight I’m also glad I’ve got the standard 8” digital cockpit as after spending a bit of time driving an Octavia with the full VC I found it far too fussy and busy, the 8” version is so much ‘cleaner’ and also, to me at least, looks sharper.

Very nice, you’ve got the Vega’s as well instead of the Sagittarius rims with the daft inserts. Having just got in from a drive on a nice undulating country ‘B’ road I’m quite impressed with the 1.5 TSI (manual in my case), it seems to be loosening up now after 1000 miles. I’m also impressed with the handling given how tall the car is. I’ve managed just 42.8 mpg after todays rather spirited drive so not too bad, best mpg to date is 49.5 without trying.

  4. That’s what I’m wondering, surely an almost 3 year lead time can’t be right.
  5. That’s crazy! There’s no way I could be bothered to wait that long for a car.
  6. I must admit that’s what I did, I would’ve been happy to complete the sale via Carwow but in the end one of the dealers reluctantly beat the other 😂
  7. Yup, that’s the one 👍🏻
  8. I’m somewhat of a cynic when bold claims are made about products but this one (so far) has impressed me. The ‘Sam’s Detailing’ drying towel, a large, single-sided twisted loop towel that seems to hold a lot of water and dried most of my car before it needed wringing out. I’d happily buy another over my previous drying towels. https://www.samsdetailing.co.uk/products/drying-towel No association with the above company other than being happy with their product.
  9. It looks a little cleaner now I’ve removed half of the Yorkshire Dales from the arches & sills. IMG_4922.mov
  10. I cleaned mine up and hung them up out of harms way at the back of the garage where they’ll stay until it’s time to move it on. I was back at the dealers last week and they were saying how much better the wheels look without “those daft inserts” (their words) and they’ve now been dropped from new orders.
  11. They look so much nicer don’t they, plus over time those trims are bound to cause damage to the alloys from movement/vibration and the dirt and grime getting trapped between the insert and the surface of the alloy.

Very nice, you certainly won’t be losing that in the car park 😎👍🏻

Taken today up at the Ribblehead Viaduct between the rain showers.
  14. Here’s an example of some impressive engineering, oh and some old viaduct in the background…😆
  15. Lovely British seaside weather 😂
  16. The first thing I did was go and spec the exact car I wanted on Carwow and go from there. We then found two dealers that wanted our business and played them off against each other, saved about £4K on ‘list’ price 👍🏻
  17. 😳 I paid £76 for a full set of 5.
  18. @pinkpanther I’ll be even happier if I get to that! 😁
  19. @Dazm First thing I did was get rid of the stupid inserts, awful things.
  20. I got the space saver too (as part of the deal when we ordered the car) but hopefully I’ll never need it 🤞🏼
  21. This is what I’ve found too after a month of use, in fact my biggest shock initially was just how quiet the engine is, almost imperceptible at tickover. My best economy to date is 49.5 mpg and that was without trying, just pootling around a mix of A and B roads, I’m impressed so far.
  22. I was quite disappointed when I found out this had been dropped from the Karoq 😆
  23. On the SportLine they’ve dropped the 19” Sagittarius alloys (with the ‘orrible cheese grater inserts) and gone back to 19” Vega’s, even though most of the photos of the SportLine in the brochure show it with the Sagittarius alloys & inserts. Still no option for 18’s from new on the SportLine unfortunately. I see there’s still no photos showing the smaller 8” virtual cockpit, it’s a pity they’re not more specific about showing what comes as standard rather than always showing optioned items such as the 10.25 “ virtual cockpit. I like how they say in tiny smallprint “that the vehicle shown is not UK spec” it’s a brochure for the UK market, come on Škoda!
  24. I ordered my SportLine back in November last year and I collected it from the dealer 14 weeks later, obviously Christmas and New Year fell in between so not too bad really, pretty much what @Dazm said.
  25. So the mud flaps arrived today and I’m quite surprised at how rigid they are compared to other mud flaps I’ve fitted to previous cars which gives rise to the only reservation I have about fitting them. I’m wondering if over time they’re going to rub/damage the paintwork; has anyone else got any long term experience of this style of mud flap?
