  1. Mine has this…
  2. You do know that the boot light pulls off so it can be used as a torch . As @DSL says above, the removable boot light was dropped a while back unfortunately.
  3. Thanks again for the replies, I must admit I like the idea of the socket being permanently live, I just wish that was made clear by Škoda either in the handbook or at the socket itself like some Jeep models do.
  4. Thanks all, I’ll start unplugging it if it’s not going to be used for more than a day or so. My experience with all of my cars (of the last 20 years or more that I can remember) has always been that they’ve been switched by the ignition, I’ve never knowingly had a permanent live 12v accessory socket.
  5. I’ve searched this topic both on here and Google and there doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer: some say yes it is, others say either ignition dependant/times out. The reason I ask I have a small VW rechargeable torch permanently plugged into the socket and I obviously don’t want to damage anything or cause any electrical issues, so does anyone know for sure? Not much useful information in the handbook that I can find. Car is a 23 MY SportLine if that makes a difference, thanks.
  6. Taken on a trip to Wales quite a few years ago and edited with a bit of artistic licence. 30CC9BA9-2A11-4806-B6A4-30C38E4CD890-24001-000003AEED3395CE.mov
  7. @w11a I bought a full set of genuine Škoda rubber mats from Caffyns eBay store and have been impressed with how well they cover and fit the footwells with a nice pronounced lip around the outer edges to keep any dirt, water etc on the mat. They were also by far the cheapest supplier I could find.
  8. @croquemonsieur I do agree that the throttle response in 1st from a standstill is far more sensitive and can make a smooth standing start more challenging than in most other cars I’ve encountered. Is this a ‘characteristic’ of modern Škoda/VAG engines possibly? I could certainly pull away smoothly in my 1973 Type 3 Fastback 😂👴🏻
  9. Although mine’s a manual I’ve so far found autohold releases seamlessly, completely smooth and instant.
  10. Without meaning to state the obvious but have you checked that the tyre pressures are correct? I’ve been quite surprised by how comfortable my 19” rims with the same tyre size as you have been so far.
  11. Update: Just opened the app and it appears to now be working, as mentioned above by @Kenny R the app has updated and now goes by a new name, My Škoda ‘Essentials’ All of my data has been preserved but the image on my front page of the app has changed from an image of my actual model/colour to a white pre-facelift model. Nothing major but a slight annoyance all the same, I wonder if that will right itself too?

  13. @kederov I've just emailed them asking if when it’s back up my vehicle and related data will still be there or if that information has been lost.
  14. @Endomorph Yup no problem, they’re all genuine Škoda parts sourced from eBay 👍🏻 Wheel nut caps (including locking wheel nut caps) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274831247044?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=owxUDzwwQsC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=8lthBdv8RWy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Centre caps (x4) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203473056445?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=66fpUu8-SBC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=8lthBdv8RWy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY The prices do fluctuate and have risen slightly since I bought them, there are also a few other stores on eBay that sell genuine Škoda parts but the two above were the cheapest at the time. Hope that helps.
  15. 😂 Still down…
  16. How strange, getting this message now…
  17. Is anyone else currently experiencing problems, looks like my vehicle and all its data have disappeared?
  18. A clean, red VRS always looks good 😎👍🏻
  19. The rear lights also changed slightly but the most obvious changes were at the front… Old New
  20. Mine was a factory order and is the current 23 MY, the facelift model features a redesigned front grille and headlights/bumper, I don’t think there were any changes internally other than strange spec differences like the issue you raised here. I know they alloys have changed since I took delivery of mine, mine came with 19” Sagittarius alloys where as the ‘latest’ ones are coming with 19” Vega alloys. I guess I, and possibly you, have been caught at the point where the spec changes over slightly.
  21. It seems like they’ve changed the spec yet again then, although their current online brochure doesn’t reflect this, Škoda really are poor when it comes to keeping things up to date in their literature and online brochures. Out of interest when did you order your Karoq? I ordered mine at the end of last November and took delivery last month.
  22. I’ve got a 23 MY SportLine and wireless charging isn’t a standard feature that I can see from the specification, it’s listed under ‘optional equipment’.

Depending on your engine there’s a huge thread running on the subject here…
  24. I was talking to the dealers about specs the other week when I had to pop back and they were saying that specs have been a nightmare for the last 18-24 months. Car were being supplied with what were normally a cost option due the shortages. The VC being a big one, he was saying virtually every Karoq they supplied new up until quite recently came with the full VC at no extra cost to the customer. Also things like wireless charging was another thing that seemed to be pot luck as to if it was fitted or not. Another that was mentioned was the full VC, he reckons it will be standard fitment later this year.

I agree but I’m stuck with the Sagittarius ones for now, but at least now I’ve ditched the stupid inserts they look fairly presentable. I only picked mine up last month so must have had some of the last ones left 😆
