  1. Ah right, they must’ve since changed the design of the aluminium housing and deleted the mounting point for the engine cover peg. Thanks for checking.
  2. That was my first thought 😂 I don’t have blind spot monitoring on mine, which you’d think in this day and age would be standard, even had it as standard on my previous van.
  3. Cheers 👍🏻
  4. I’ve just been looking at my engine bay and I’m tempted to try a ‘full size’ engine cover, it looks like 3 of the 4 mounting pegs are present, can anyone confirm where the 4th one would be as there doesn’t seem to be anything obvious? It would be the upper left one as you’re looking at the engine, thanks.
  5. @Bywateronline I’ve just been out and checked mine and I have exactly the same as you, dimming only on the drivers side, must be a UK spec thing?

The best thing to do is ask your dealer for the current status of your order on their system. From mine being at ‘Status 38 - Port of exit released’ it took 3 weeks until I picked it up from the dealer.
  7. I knew about the rear view mirror but didn’t know about the wing mirrors, well I never! 😂 I’ll have to check but it’ll be tomorrow now so I’ll have to let you know 👍🏻
  8. Dimming wing mirrors? I must admit I’ve never heard of them before, I picked up my new SportLine on Friday and I’m fairly certain they are the standard electric mirrors with demisting, folding housings and movable glass unless I’ve missed something? 🤔
  9. I also think it looks neater with a full sized engine cover instead of the token one they fit now near the oil filler cap. I suspect it’s down to cost cutting as has been mentioned above, no cooled glovebox, no second boot light/torch and now the engine cover plus a few other minor differences that have occurred over the last few years.
  10. Afraid not, just regular hinges and a stay as on previous MY’s.

I agree, it is quite small but a useful addition nonetheless, I always keep a ‘golf’ sized umbrella in the boot anyhow ☔️
  12. The dealers coffee was on point

@OldKaroq Thank you 😊 Its ‘Graphite Grey’ in Škoda speak, slightly darker than ‘Business Grey’ 👍🏻 Very early days but having done around 70 miles so far I’m very impressed, I need to get some centre caps ordered so I can take the cheese graters off the wheels though, can’t say I’m a fan…

    Result! @hazy2

I picked my Karoq up today and the umbrella was in its compartment under the passenger seat, it’s quite a dinky little thing.

Finally picked up the Karoq today despite the weather’s best efforts to thwart me 😆 I didn’t get a photo at the dealership as it was bitter cold to say the least and then by time I got home the car was completely covered road grime and salt so obviously I had to give it a quick wash 🥶😂 Here’s the only photo to date, a less than glamorous shot of it on the drive post-wash in failing light, I’m sure I’ll be spamming this thread with more in the future…
  17. I’ve been consciously looking out for them since reading this post last week and my total to date is…one! So yes they do appear to be thin on the ground. (Around here at least)
  18. Going off at a bit of a tangent, does the Karoq electronic handbrake have a manual override so it can be released if it failed in the on position, similar to the Land Rover Discovery 3, 4 and possibly other models for instance?

First glimpse of my Karoq, hopefully collecting it on Friday all being well.
  20. Love some of the waymarkers you find on footpaths.
  21. We’ve been using an Admiral multi-car policy for the last several years, we’ve not been able to get better quotes from any of the comparison sites or brokers to date, our use also includes business use across all three cars.
  22. Thanks for that, this is the part that bothers me now, hopefully I won’t get stung for any taxes but it should still work out cheaper 🤞🏼
  23. Wondering if anyone has ordered form here, they’re based in Czechia and deliver to the UK according to their website. https://www.skoda-parts.com/online-store.html Any experience good/bad/indifferent? Cheers
  24. I wonder if it’s changed again for recent models? I’ll see what the manual says next week when I finally pick mine up.

As I understand it the ‘Amundsen Plus Package’ at £600 gives you the larger (10.25”) Virtual Cockpit with the ability to have maps displayed and lots more customisation. All new 23MY Karoq models should now come with a smaller (8”) virtual cockpit as standard, this has less functionality and isn’t able to display maps like the 10.25” version. I’ll be picking up my Karoq next week and it will have the smaller 8” virtual cockpit. There isn’t a lot of information around on it at the moment as I found out when I was looking for details about it.
