  1. Hi, have had issues with the original 12v battery on a 2021 VRS. Anyway it dropped voltage and it would not crank over and threw all the codes. Jumped started and it left the airbag light error, battery changed etc but still have light. Which tool to go for to reset this, I don’t need coding facilities etc but I know rear disks need doing soon so that option would be good. So OBDEleven basic or Pro or should I go Topscan basic or Pro. Main outcome is just to reset airbag light with the lowest cost. Any pointers as both say they do but equally not absolutely definitely.
  2. Working now, apparently there were a few other bongs on startup but the next restart all clear.
  3. We have a 2021 and it completed an update the day before and now ours have stopped working according to wife. Have yours started working again?
  4. Now that confuses me, in the mk4 I thought it only had USB C in the centre and no SE card slot ?!?
  5. I have tried different usb sticks and never get it to recognise the device. Will try again based on your comments. Regarding OP software version that is odd as should be done OTA surely as that’s the reason it’s connected. That said sure I’ve seen posts where big updates haven’t happened and need dealer work.
  6. Conclusion. 8 weeks in and car has finally come back with a new turbo assembly. The failure was a pressed clip which is similar to the one you can see on your boot struts. This clip has failed and the rod which connects to the wastegate actuator. This is why all runs and starts and why no explosive failure. However these parts are not available separately for warranty and it’s the whole assembly and ancillary’s to complete the job. Which means a coolant change and also a tracking job as subframe and steering rack plus exhaust of course has to be shifted. All back and running nice and true so a strange failure for sure.
  7. Thought would come back to this one and remember the time back 5 weeks ago. Update is car still sits at dealer awaiting repair, parts issues but for two weeks actually waiting on a bay and a technician competent enough to do it. Who knows what else that may crop up when it actually gets stripped down.
  8. On our VP works every time doing the kick motion ie front to back. One slow kick. if you try left to right it doesn’t trigger.
  9. On Sunday on starting the VRS the screen advised it was completing software update etc. screen was held on that but could select drive modes. i put it in eco as hadn’t been out in a while and a gentle warm up. 2 miles in and the drive train error pops up, driving and shifting still. No bumps or roughness etc. Drove home and searched and could see fairly common on software issues. Dropped the car in at dealer Monday throwing myself on their mercy. They agreed to take it in and check when they could fit it in. call back yesterday and the turbo needs replacing, will be away now for many weeks as on back order and an involved strip. 29k miles, 2 and a bit years old. No exciting big bang and smoke etc but they say it’s a turbo. will find out more when I go to dealer to get a replacement car tomorrow.
  10. Sounds like something is wrong with the car / module if that’s the case. My understanding was the option was either drivers door only or all the doors. not opening the fronts at all is just wrong!
  11. I assume the engine cover was found as well! That one was done in Nov and going in tomorrow for this one so we shall see if it’s good or needs attention. Also assessing the arm test as the ratchet doesn’t work anymore.
  12. Thanks for the heads up, checked and also included for the check. For others ours is a Nov 21 registered TSi DSG
  13. Is it possible to activate traffic sign recognition via VCDS etc. Have a VRS with matrix lights, dsg vehicle so assume hardware such as forward camera is in place.
