  1. Thanks. I did do a search first before creating another topic but I searched windscreen instead of screen 🤷🏻‍♂️
  2. Hi Im curious to findout / confirm if my car has a heated front windscreen? Is there any way to tell visually or mechanically? I know they come with the winter pack (Heated seats, steering wheel and windscreen) but as my car is a VRS it has the heated seats as standard and also has a heated steering wheel fitted. Any clues? or do I have to wait till winter to try it? Thanks
  3. Hi, Looking to compare with some other VRS owners. It struck as bizarre when I noticed that there was steam coming from under the bonnet while it was raining and the car was stationary/off, never noticed it on any other car that I owned.
  4. Yes, that’s what I found too. Seems the idea first came about in 2017 and got quashed, but now it’s back to help with the cost of living. Allegedly.
  5. Hi, My car was registered in March 2021, and by my usual understanding all cars require their first MOT within 3 years of age. However, does anybody else get this message from the GOV website? I know they thought about extending it to 4 years a while ago but I can't find anything solid on the web. Thought I'd ask here before calling the DVLA.
  6. Just gone out to check and it’s 22.12 now
  7. I put my vin into the portal and downloaded the file it suggested; I’ll try leaving the usb in longer and see what happens
  8. my educated guess would be it’s to do with the dilution of the liquid rather than any ingredient. Some screen-wash can use deionised water which isn’t conductive
  9. Ive updated it and it now reads 21.something... how long does it take, as the website says "The vehicle uses the data on the USB disc while driving to update the required map regions. For proper updating, we recommend to leave the USB Flash Disc plugged into the vehicle connector each time you drive." how long would you suggest to leave it in?
  10. I had the car in for updating to 1941 as it was unable to connect and set me up as primary user, Since updating, the POP POP, SOS issue has become a lot more refular as it used to happen once every other day, now happens a 2-3 times per drive
  11. I must say I'm so disappointed with the lack of noise from the VRS. I had a courtesy scala from the dealership the other week and even that sounded better 🙄
  12. I’m not that fussed about maps as I use Waze. On a side note, the POP POP, SOS issue has become a lot more regular since the update 🤡 used to happen once every other day, now happens a 2-3 times per drive
  13. I really can’t remember, I should have made a note. However, the update notes for todays update said that one of the fixes is “user registration” as well as the standard bugs and stability fixes. I’d have to go out and check my current version
  14. On a side note, how does the car decide when to wash the headlights, I think I’ve only seen it do it once, and even then I’m not sure it did.
  15. Mine went in to to the dealer with this issue, they tried to update the software and didn’t have any joy, had the car all day. when I picked it back up the tech said he did everything including pulling the fuse from the SOS module for 10 minutes as that’s what holds the SIM card for the cars connectivity. They said they will have to get authorisation to replace the SOS module and contact me when I’m ready to come back. But before I left I thought I’d try doing the setup again myself and “hey presto” it worked. Car is setup and I can access the shop app. Went back in and told them to save them the paperwork. on a side note, my car has just tried to update itself which makes me unsure they actually updated it and just tried the SOS module restart.
  16. No warning at all, I knew it was empty as only foam was barely coming out. You’re correct with not know what comes in a used car, but I bought it used approved from Chesterfield Skoda, I would assume they top up the correct fluid before it leaving. will have to wait and see if the Halfords pre-mix works out, nearly 5 litres went in 😅
  17. Good shout, I’ll give it a go. it would be odd however as the fluid that was in the car would have been what came from the dealer still when I purchased the car. ive bought and put in some Halfords ready mix, so will work through that.
  18. Hmm, same as mine then… may need to have a dig through obd11
  19. yeah, not a deal breaker, just surprising a vRS doesn’t have it… but wanted to know if I need to chase under warranty
  20. Hi all Probably a silly question, but does the mk4 have a windscreen fluid low light? Had the car for two months and it seems like the fluid is getting low, judging from the foam that’s coming out, but no warning light has come on yet
  21. Hmm, mines a 2021, but ex demo… I’m having issues with Skoda connect, it’s going in for an update next month, is it possible to buy and upgrades in the shop? Like PACC? Or travel assist?
  22. Yup, tried all sorts… stationary; driving at 30mph, driving at 70mph…
  23. I’ve tried with the ACC on and off, doesn’t do anything. Will try what Wonderloaf suggested
  24. Hello, I'm having the same issue, car is booked in with Rochadale Skoda on 1/6. When I spoke to the people they didn't fill me with hope and kept saying the garage that sold it to me should have sorted it out... why should it matter? the cars under warranty and I'm not driving to Chesterfield every time! I think it's unlikely this is the issue as I bought the car used approved from a main dealer and they wipe it all to make it almost / the same as a new setup.
