Replacement Seatbelt Lock 1Z0857495B
I'm not sure you can buy this part anywhere in the UK other than a breaker who is prepared to sell one without the matching belt.

Valve stem seals gone after head gasket repair
Ah, I can do software solutions. Get yourself a YouTube account, post your video there, and link it here using the link (chain) tool.

2017 Fabia Estate 1.0tsi 110 SE L - will these wheels fit?
Yes, in principle. You need to check the PCD and centre spigot size are the same. Fortunately these are helpfully and literally cast or stamped into genuine VAG wheels. Also you need to check that you can get 15" tyres in a suitable load index, and that 15" wheels will fit over the brake callipers.

Valve stem seals gone after head gasket repair
@Catherine41 Well, if nothing else this proves that they should have and did not replace the exhaust valve oil seals. We'd need to see a video of the engine running and a still of the inside of the exhaust tailpipe. Also, and this is speculation for now, they may have destroyed the catalytic converter by oil poisoning it.

Valve stem seals gone after head gasket repair
Next time I see him, I'll tell my mate who had 2 CVH engine XR3(i)s and one RS Turbo that all smoked on overrun pickup due to hardened oil seals of your opinion, then wait until he stops laughing at you.

Valve stem seals gone after head gasket repair
Agreed, but I'd suggest that this proves the necessity of using exactly the correct names when describing an issue?

Valve stem seals gone after head gasket repair
Make sure the credit card company know about this; it's definite proof beyond reasonable doubt that the engine work was not carried out to an acceptable standard.

Valve stem seals gone after head gasket repair
@Catherine41 This might be tricky to follow because I'm trying to address two of your posts. " I didn't take it to him for valve seals, I took it there for timing belt" - Unless you explicitly directed him to replace the timing belt and carry out no other work he should have noticed the valve seals and possibly other damage, and at least advised you of other works needed and/or other damage to the engine before proceeding to replace the belt. "there was (by implication engine) oil coming up through the ignition coil" - Complete and utter male bovine faeces. The ignition coil may contain electrical insulating oil, but if that starts leaking you'll get rough running, initially at high revs but eventually the engine won't run at all. There is no connection between the coil and the lubricating oil system so lube can not leak through the coil!

Cheers for the disambiguation.

the truth about electric cars
ATM Ingurlundshire's response to generating plant built in, say, Scotland, is to charge a "being a long way from Larndarn premium" on that power.

Matrix Lights - Dazzling oncoming drivers
As upthread I actually do (at least try) to dip before I can actually see oncoming. I also dip as soon as I have visual contact with one I am following.

My delayed response to that news was "Cometh the hour, cometh the man".

2011 2.0 tdi parking sensors "do I already have them fitted"
Yes; 4 roughly equispaced raised dots about 1 inch in diameter.

the truth about electric cars
I do, because you talk complete nonsense, and ignore any facts that don't suit you. Like how I didn't say my neighbour had a high output home charger installed because they didn't! Or how the reason that they were chopping the Leave in was that it didn't have an actual range of 100 miles on a full charge (so would take 2 days from Benbecula to Inverness)...

Matrix Lights - Dazzling oncoming drivers
Does the car actually dip "automatically" before you can see oncomer? Yes or No.

Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI SE Technology Manual, 2019
Only if the expansion bottle is labelled "mit silikat" (with silica).

Matrix Lights - Dazzling oncoming drivers
To me that means you've happy to have an inconsiderately late dip?

the truth about electric cars
This is about the second ever conversation I have ever had about a Nissan Leave (sic). The last one was my then neighbour apologising for parking it part across my frontage (the only way she could charge at home) and indicating that it would soon be traded in for an ICE car. Not every owner is in on the Scalextric bromance.

Koni Street rebuild.
@nta16 I've no interest in Spridgits beyond the aesthetics of chrome bumper cars, and that stems from June 1996. One cold, wet June Saturday I was on my way back from my "big shop" and overtook one in my Citroen ZX. I checked my mirrors before moving back in and a realisation hit me. Not only was I warmer, drier and going faster than the elderly couple in the Spridgit; based on their expressions I was also having more fun (and yes at a legal speed).

Matrix Lights - Dazzling oncoming drivers
Also @TheWanderer Edit inline, underscore and italic. I dip conventional headlights when I see the loom of oncoming headlights rather than waiting until I see the actual luminaires.

An MGB (roadster or GT) is a car, not a road!

brighter=/= "superior".
- No dash lights. Car starts briefly then stops.

I couldn't swear to the age or location of the photo (or indeed identity of the person), but the car is indeed a 1974 (or earlier) BGT (chrome bumpers are a giveaway there). For the benefit of the Greeks, an MGB (either body) of that age was probably not capable of more than 100mph (160kph) absolutely flat out.
