  1. Change your garage! They should know that this is a latching warning, and will stay on until actively reset even if there isn't an issue other than something related to the new battery.
  2. No; this is a typical lifespan for this type of battery.
  3. You'd still have to get me to use Briskoda as a portal to YouChube videos that I choose to not watch directly or otherwise as a rule.
  4. @Penda77 - As @freemansteve says, or else put a couple of drops of brake fluid (an open container is fine for this purpose) on each bush in turn. Stay well away from the Halfrauds parts cannon though!
  5. Well, for reasons I spent most Saturdays for about 6 months travelling between Dumbarton and Balornock (say 40 minutes each way) in a private hire Superb. That's why I'm so sure they're good taxis.
  6. Where do I say or even imply otherwise? ABS issues are almost always in the electronics or possibly the valve block.
  7. You wouldn't notice ABS issues unless you were to brake hard enough (or on a split mu surface) to activate the anti-lock.
  8. Either of those is possible. Knowing which trim level it has may help with determining the tune.
  9. OK, so do you have a sump heater? If so, is it working correctly?
  10. The one on my left is a rev counter.
  11. @phs12 When was the cabin pollen filter last replaced?
  12. At a guess, no, no and 1.9 TDi Pompe Duse.
  13. @malk24 The coolant level sensor is notorious for generating spurious overheating/low level errors on a cold (like left overnight cold) engine. If you can see the sensor prongs in the expansion bottle (not all cars) just run a wide flat screwdriver down both prongs 2 or 3 times and that should clear the issue for a year or 2.
  14. Or possibly for not being a tailgit?
  15. I'm never against those BBS rims in a suitable size.
  16. Well, it's like this. Power costs; how fast can you afford to go? Alternatively, have a look at some of the driving tuition on YouTube, such as Ashley Neal's channel, Chris Martin EMS...
  17. Can we confirm that you mean "wiper arms" and not "wiper blades"? I've never needed to replace a wiper arm, even on a car about 20 years old, for any reason other than severe corrosion. I'd routinely replace wiper blades every 2 or 3 years though.
  18. Fault with an ABS sensor?
  19. The AA was using a generic code reader?
  20. I can't comment on the DSG for taxiing (drivers around here 100% choose manuals IME, so there must be a reason?) but a Superb makes a superb taxi/private hire.
  21. To expand on @J.R. somewhat bald statement, you should always take the earth to the chassis earth point irrespective of whether or not the vehicle has s/s.
  22. Yes, yes and yes. Watch the video @AGFalco just posted with a view to dismantling and cleaning the rear brakes. This will require brake cleaner, and I'd recommend using a filter mask to keep from breathing in most of the brake dust.
  23. Yes. Try a Skoda dealer, or a motor factors, or, in extremis a branch of Halfrauds.
  24. A machine shop can turn the existing parts into balanced lightweight parts.
