  1. Last nights 5 hour charge on the HV battery did not lead to it opening without the app to start aircon this morning.
  2. Eighth month stats from the car Apr-May 266mile @ 4.4m/kwh = 60.46 [email protected] = £16.88 My Mondeo would have averaged 35 mpg for these 266m @£1.327 litre = £45.38 Long term guessometer now reset. Stat from the GOM the car has been on for 24.18 hours and averaged 11mph.
  3. This week the car stopped responding to the remote again from Monday morning. Last charged the HV battery last Wednesday. On charge again this evening. Will see if it unlocks tomorrow a.m. Again each day I have been able to wake the car up and unlock it by turning the aircon on with the app. Still cannot get the cap off the key cover. Am I just being too reluctant to push hard enough in case I break something. Pull handle and insert blade in hole? I assume you push upwards?
  4. Volvo EX30 vs MINI Countryman vs Hyundai Kona vs Kia Niro
  5. Selling privately is the way to get the most. But you have to wait for someone to agree your price and have the hassle of dealing with them on the drive. Motorway sells to dealers so you will lose whatever margin they need to get. This guy on youtube seems reasonable. If he doesn't want it he will suggest a price that other dealers might pay. https://carsboughtformore.com/
  6. On the skoda website you can find handbooks by vin number. https://www.skoda.co.uk/apps/manuals/Models I had to use trial and error around builds from 2010 to 2011 to find it because registration year can be the year after build. I cannot remember which one had that particular schematic now.
  7. I have found that it charges 12v whilst ac charging.
  8. You could also get a usb c flash drive and transfer the music to that.
  9. Thanks for pointing this out, I cannot find a setting for "optimise battery use" to keep the 12v charged whilst parked. So I have moved the 12v boot socket fuse from always live to off on exit, At first I thought it was not working at all after moving the fuse because I couldn't keep the ignition "on" without sitting in the driver's seat 😄. But found if i press the start button twice it goes to ignition on with a warning tone sound. I then double checked it was going to go off by sitting in then getting out again.
  10. The UK didn't commit to phasing out Coal for electricity until ten years ago. BBC NewsUK's coal plants to be phased out within 10 yearsThe UK's remaining coal-fired power stations will be shut by 2025, energy secretary Amber Rudd proposes.
  11. UK coal production was reduced because it was cheaper to import it. The decision to stop using coal came later . 12. @Ootohere Update: I believe I have solved what happened last weekend. After a couple of days this week of being asleep, the car is now back to responding in the morning to the remote. Going back to what i had done with the car last weekend, I think I now know what I did to cause the problem. On Sunday I decided test the boot size for our Holiday trips. I put my Wife's mobility scooter, Luggage and the food for the dog and coolbox in the boot. I tried different allocations of the space. I.e Scooter across the back or forwards to the boot lid. It probably took over an hour whilst the boot was open. Moving on to investigating the "Stationary aircon" settings there is one that says "Run aircon on unlock". I now believe this was the culprit, Although the aircon compressor is run by the HV battery the fan/blower is not. I now think that running for over an hour with the boot open drained the 12v Battery sufficient to make the car go to sleep until the battery charged back up with use. I have unselected the option to "Run aircon on unlock"
  13. CoMoUK shows that the cost of running and maintaining a car club EV is now around £6,000 per year higher than a typical petrol car in the same fleet. https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/affordability-of-electric-vehicles-behind-car-club-fleet-decline
  14. So ICE with a bit of a battery up 34.1 %. The majority will probably never be plugged in https://insideevs.com/news/731090/plug-in-hybrid-charging-data/
  15. It is set as "Stationary air con", you set time and day of departure. I plug the car in on Wed eves till i go to bed. But not sure if that charges the 12v. The Car does when "on" because the battery reads 13.5v when tested. Not yet found how to switch it off ( make it read 12v battery only) with the bonnet up. I will see if it goes to sleep by morning tomorrow. It could just be a low battery condition that is causing it. But it's unusual for this kind of fault to present itself in mild weather
  16. First strange thing happening with the Enyaq. Since purchase last Sept I have had the aircon set to come on automatically each day at the ridiculous o'clock that i get up. I have now turned that off. Yesterday the Car would not respond to the remote. So I couldn't get in it. To save being late for work messing about I just quickly arranged a lift. When I got home I thought I will use the App to have a look to see if anything was reported in there. On opening the app the car activated and did a bit of a whir. Tried the remote and it unlocked straightaway. Worked for the rest of the day. Today after an overnight, again the car does not respond but i used the app straightaway and it woke up. So it appears the car is going to sleep and cutting off the remote detection.. I would expect this as a 12v battery protection measure if the car was left for a long time but overnight seems a bit quick. I am thinking that it hasn't come up before because of my aircon scheduling previously waking up the system.

  19. Apologies I focused on the word new and missed the year that was mentioned. So answered the wrong question. The rate for a 2013 L&k Superb remained related to It's emissions on the v5 document Probably within one of these bands Between 131 and 140g/km is £195
