  1. If it has dual zone air con could it not be the temp sensor on the drivers side?
  2. A Dog should not be loose in a Car

  4. Translation: Good morning, Hello, dear forum members. I am looking for inspiration and ideas from enthusiasts/GURUs. Regards
  5. A friend at work has a Sportage 71 plate. He has not seen it since January when it went in for a problem, he still has the loan car though. All manufacturers have problems.
  6. Use of in car cameras and recording equipment whilst vehicle being repaired. https://retailmotorlaw.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=249:use-of-in-car-cameras-and-recording-equipment-whilst-vehicle-being-repaired&catid=34:our-company&Itemid=78
  7. I think there is some confusion going on here with the OP title and the story. Aviva, Halford's insurer paid The claim. it says so in the story. The owner of the car should have submitted a bill to Halfords for his Car hire etc for them to pass on to their insurance Company Aviva. He is a third party in that claim. The puncture cost is because he didn't add tyre cover to his car rental, which he could have done and it would have saved the bill and the extra cost for the cover would be in his invoice as a third party claim on Halford's Aviva policy. After that somehow the Claim must have been recorded on the insurance Database against the vehicles History as a claim by the insured. It will all have probably been resolved by now as it says at the end of the story. But saying all was well in the end doesn't sell copy as they say.
  8. Cars that cost £40,000 or more (after options) are subject to a further £410 annual supplement (up from £380 in 2023/2024) that runs for five years. This kicks in after the first-year’s CO2-based charge, so you’ll pay the supplement from years two to six of the car’s life. If you haggle a plus-£40,000 car down to below £40,000, you’ll still have to pay the supplement as it's based on the cost of the car for tax purposes.
  9. Apologies i was confused i thought it was regarding Co2 but now realise it's only a test for emissions that are actually harmful to the environment.. "A diesel emission test measures ‘opacity’ which refers to the density of particles that exit the exhaust. Light is used to measure opacity, which an emission analyser uses the data to calculate an opacity reading. The ‘plate value’ of a car is used during a diesel emission test. This holds the manufacturer’s data for the level at which the car must be below in order to pass an emission test." " An emission test for a petrol car measures the gasses that exit the exhaust. The required reading must be within specified limits of the vehicle."
  10. I wouldn't risk making life more complicated before taking the simple steps to make it cleaner
  11. CO2 % and g/km are two different calculations
  12. Bottom part of the passenger door b Pillar?
  13. The plate you are looking for is similar to this Usually inside a Door frame? this car shows the figure as 0.51 bottom right
  14. I used to put a bottle of https://www.forteuk.co.uk/product/diesel-specialist-injector-cleaner/ into half a tank of fuel and go for a twenty minute run up the motorway prior to a retest after a mondeo 03 plate failed on emissions. Also check the air filter is clean. Always passed second time. I think all MOTs are "Connected" now

  17. A warranty can only be extended to 100,000 miles. With your annual mileage i would be concerned they are trying to kick the can down that road. Are they suggesting it's condensation? If you wipe it off and dip again what does it look like?
  18. If you remove the oil filler cap. what does that look like?
  19. Does it do this every time or just when it is cold ? It is not unusual for a car to start this way.
  20. DRLs are not mandatory in Australia or Japan either but don't see the relevance of other Countries to the OP's question. To answer it we would need to know Serbia's regulations as to why his DRLS stay the same brightness. And to answer how or if he can turn them off?
  21. Serbia is not an EU member and i believe headlights have to be on during the day?
  22. Westminster City Council has invested £20 million in 45 new fully-electric refuse trucks, the vast majority of which will be charged by burning the waste they collect.
  23. Have done a but of digging around other forums and apparently there are some LED lighting on cars that need no adjustment for country. If you drive up to a flat surface, like a garage door, put main beam on and reverse away a bit, note where the beam is, if you then dip the lights does the beam move to the left? If it does you need to find how to adjust If not the system is "flat" and requires no intervention. Because it isn't sided it just light up in front. they are bright enough to not need the "up" bit of left and right sided lighting. Allegedly?
