  1. Did you set the times to nil then get out and lock leave it a while then get in and set it back? Other than that now you have told the bms the new battery details, you could disconnect the battery and let it shutdown then reconnect.
  2. Try adjusting the timers in the settings

  4. The UK Autumn Statement 2022 given by Jeremy Hunt announced the removal of the free VED (Vehicle Excise Duty) Band A for cars registered between March 2001 and April 2017, and the end of the VED exemption for electric vehicles. These changes came into effect on 1 April 2025.
  5. It's not cynical, it's borderline fraud. Allowing Companies to pay people with Company paid for cars, when one is not needed for business use. To save NI contributions, but the Government benefit from BIK taxes based on a non decreasing value of a company asset, that does reduce in value. It is a controlling measure of the wealthy that they have convinced the middle earner to support to keep their own taxation levels relatively low.
  6. Salary sacrifice is not designed for the employee to buy a car. The scheme is set up to benefit the employer They can effectively pay lower wages, pretend the car is part of those wages, claim the costs of the car against business expense and the government can take tax from the lower wage off the employee. Employee does not end up owning a car.
  7. As more and more people buy electric vehicles the cheap periods will keep reducing in length, as more and more solar and wind becomes available the price of the electricity on standby needed to stabilise the grid will increase.
  8. I have never needed to see the main beam blue light on the dashboard, in conditions when main beam is needed you can see they are on looking out of the window

  10. Maybe all Company cars can be registered in Eire
  11. That is going to create a problem with people living in NI and working in Eire?
  12. Ignition is on but the Battery is not being charged
  13. The change applies retrospectively, meaning that most vehicles registered from 1 April 2025 will not be required to pay the charge. Any vehicles taking out a second licence with effect before 1 April 2026 will be required to pay one year of the charge only. A further legislative change also ensures that all vehicle licences which first have effect on or after 1 April 2026 are subject to the increased threshold, regardless of when the licence is applied for.
  14. It will encourage plugging it in
  15. Maybe by the time it comes in in 2028 we will have to attach our cars to the digital ID in our phone and make a payment to an app to leave the house 😉 It will detect when we have left the Country so as not to charge us for driving abroad.
  16. For me peak car era was a diesel in 2014 Lowest co2 max efficiency just keep them out of confined spaces like cities
  17. At least Half the problems are nothing to do with the car. I have one, I plug it in it charges. Simple.
  18. I am well aware of that but we pay wind and solar farms at times for energy wasted, if the companies stored it we could actually pay them when it's needed. When we don't need gas the price will still be set by the most expensive input and we will continue pay for waste. They will still make Billions
  19. Electricity has always been a problem in the past because they didn't have the technology to store it, now they do so it's pure profiteering and nothing else.
  20. The total of over £125 billion in profits made by energy giants from their UK operations since 2020 equates to approximately £878 per household per year.
  21. An analysis found that energy giants have made over £125 billion in profits from their UK operations since 2020, with £40 billion occurring in the last two years.
  22. But the more wind and solar we add the higher the prices seem to go? United Kingdom Record electricity generation: In 2024, renewable sources generated a record 143.7 TWh of electricity, up from 135.8 TWh in 2023. Majority of electricity: Renewables provided 50.4% of the UK's electricity in 2024, exceeding fossil fuels for the fourth time in five years. Key contributors: Offshore wind and solar generation both reached new annual record levels in 2024. Increased share: The share of electricity from low-carbon sources (renewables and nuclear) rose to a record 64.7% in 2024, up from 60.3% in 2023
  23. All this investment in solar and wind is really paying off for them isn't it.
