Edit Sound settings - dataset export (OBDeleven, Car Scanner Pro?)
Is there an option to do a module backup with VC Tools - then switch back to the backup if the other presets are not good?

Sound Upgrade
Has anyone done the upgrade with https://www.ars24.com/en/skoda-octavia-iv-loudspeaker-front-option? I saw comments for their subwoofer for O4 on the German Skoda Community forum.

Octy Mk4 stalling in traffic - MAJOR safety issue
I have the 1.5 TSI with manual box, in these 18+ months, I haven't had it stalled, and the car starts pretty quickly when clutch pedal is depressed. @pinkpanther how would you describe the difference in the throttle response? I've been looking at it for a while, as I'd like a bit faster throttle response, but I don't have mode selection option on mine. Did the consumption go up as well?

Lowering springs
@Phaserrr Do you have any issues with the radar or headlights after lowering?

Suspension upgrade on Octavia MK4
It looks great! Is it with twist-beam axle? Thank you for your valuable input!

Suspension upgrade on Octavia MK4
Nice! Can you share some pictures? Has the ride become harsher? No issues with the matrix headlights blinding others? Thank you!

No driving modes
The OP doesn't say anything about having an RS.

No driving modes
Noo - not an RS. 1.5 TSI

No driving modes
Not all come with a mode button. Mine doesn't. :) There's the trouble of deleting it, but there's also the trouble of installing one. :D It would be nice if there's a chance of having the driving modes in the menu anyway - I think @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits has a solution for it - IIRC, they offer them in the SWAP codes list...

Lowering springs
Let us know how this goes! :)

Suspension upgrade on Octavia MK4
Has anyone had any suspension upgrade on the standard Octavia MK4 suspension? Thinking about Bilstein B6 or Koni SA. It seems like Bilstein would be a bit more consistent, according to threads about older Superb/Octavia models. However, I am afraid that they might increase the ride height, which would necessitate a radar/camera calibration.

RacingLine lowering springs
@Skipper91144 Have you noticed any flashing from the other side about your matrix lights? Any notable difference in the light beam height? From what I know, lowering the car without relearning the adjustments, might indicate to the auto-leveling that the car is loaded and would drop the beams closer to you. Any difference in this regard? Thanks!

Kangarooing 1.5 tsi a thing of the past?
Both versions have GPF, but they don't use AdBlue. The operating principle is different to DPF, and should be less prone to failures AFAIK.

Kangarooing 1.5 tsi a thing of the past?
Manual one. Are you looking for a FL or pre FL model? The engines are different, since the FL has different cat/GPF configuration and shorter warmup.

Kangarooing 1.5 tsi a thing of the past?
Yes, there's no kangorooing. I own MY24 Octavia preFL, have not had the issue. Obviously, the car behaves differently in the first 30 secs when first started & the revs are high, but this is not unusual.

Rattle in Infotainment area.
Try the plastic trim below the center air vents, above the mobile charging pad area. It can creak when touched.

Matrix LED Headlights adjustment after lowering the car
Is the headlight adaptation/camera adaptation necessary after installing other suspension, without changing the ride height? Obviously, this would need wheel alignment. On this topic, has anyone installed Bilstein B6 on the MK4 Octavia? I've read somewhere that it may make the ride height a bit higher than stock. Any experience with it? Have you tried out the Matrix Headlights at night? Are they correctly adjusted with the LEDs going off at the correct spot where the cars are?

Mudflaps fitted
Thanks. I have them for a while, but still haven't gotten round to installing them. Mine is 1.5 tsi in lava blue, standard ride height, so I was thinking of how it would look like. Primary goal was to save the car from road spray and salt in wintery weather.

Mudflaps fitted
Is there any increase of wind noise or fuel consumption after fitting the mudflaps?

New winter wheels - rim/tyre equivalents
Yes, that is correct size for fitting 16 inch rims.

Update To Infotainment Version 1985 - Download Link and Guide
I would rather wait for the OTA, if I were you, instead of trying to update it yourself. There can be some differences in hardware versions, which may (or may not) play a role if your system can support 1985. Is there no OTA for you available?

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
The download only happens while the car is running. So if you do short trips, it may take a while to download it.

Buying rims and tyres - TPMS considerations?
Just stick to the correct size and it will work. TPMS on the Octavia is read by the ABS sensors, so when changing the wheel set, you need to set the correct tyre pressures and let the car know that you've set the pressures.

NEW: software 1985
I did the update as well. The directions were not to use the vehicle and exit the vehicle. Also, the installation prompt comes up after turning off the ignition. I left and locked the car. The next morning I was greeted with a message that the update was installed. I don't see any noticeable differences - except that it maybe boots up faster. But it was fine before as well. Hardware version H61.
