  1. Manual one. Are you looking for a FL or pre FL model? The engines are different, since the FL has different cat/GPF configuration and shorter warmup.
  2. Yes, there's no kangorooing. I own MY24 Octavia preFL, have not had the issue. Obviously, the car behaves differently in the first 30 secs when first started & the revs are high, but this is not unusual.
  3. Try the plastic trim below the center air vents, above the mobile charging pad area. It can creak when touched.
  4. Is the headlight adaptation/camera adaptation necessary after installing other suspension, without changing the ride height? Obviously, this would need wheel alignment. On this topic, has anyone installed Bilstein B6 on the MK4 Octavia? I've read somewhere that it may make the ride height a bit higher than stock. Any experience with it? Have you tried out the Matrix Headlights at night? Are they correctly adjusted with the LEDs going off at the correct spot where the cars are?
  5. Thanks. I have them for a while, but still haven't gotten round to installing them. Mine is 1.5 tsi in lava blue, standard ride height, so I was thinking of how it would look like. Primary goal was to save the car from road spray and salt in wintery weather.
  6. Is there any increase of wind noise or fuel consumption after fitting the mudflaps?
  7. Yes, that is correct size for fitting 16 inch rims.
  8. I would rather wait for the OTA, if I were you, instead of trying to update it yourself. There can be some differences in hardware versions, which may (or may not) play a role if your system can support 1985. Is there no OTA for you available?
  9. The 10th letter is indeed "R". It was manufactured and delivered in January 2024. Your VIN ending in "2023" is just a coincidence.
  10. The download only happens while the car is running. So if you do short trips, it may take a while to download it.
  11. Just stick to the correct size and it will work. TPMS on the Octavia is read by the ABS sensors, so when changing the wheel set, you need to set the correct tyre pressures and let the car know that you've set the pressures.
  12. I did the update as well. The directions were not to use the vehicle and exit the vehicle. Also, the installation prompt comes up after turning off the ignition. I left and locked the car. The next morning I was greeted with a message that the update was installed. I don't see any noticeable differences - except that it maybe boots up faster. But it was fine before as well. Hardware version H61.
  13. I had an OTA update notification today as well. The infotainment runs version 1940, the update is version 1985. MY 2024, non FL. I'll go through the process of updating and will report back.
  14. Yes, the volume gets quite loud when really close to an obstacle.
  15. If using/moving the car quickly after startup you activate the sensors by getting near an obstacle, it can beep loud. If you wait for a second to get the infotainment to boot up, it should be normal in my experience.
  16. In English. I'm not native speaker, but I still consider my accent to be good. However, sometimes controlling the AC through Laura seems slow and the assistant sets the wrong settings.
  17. Is there any improvement in the voice assistant?
  18. If you press and hold the right scroll wheel, it will blank out the details in the dials (as in the second picture). If you want to change the displayed information, click the scroll wheel without holding it longer. Then, it will highlight the dial/place where you can edit the displayed info.
  19. Can you be more specific? What change have you noticed?
  20. Do you actually have virtual cockpit? I think with the FL, there's no analogue dashboard anymore, only digital one. But, the digital should be a basic one, with a virtual cockpit version optional. Maybe record a video so we can see what your FL layout looks like.
  21. The standard wheel size in 16inch is 205/60R16.
  22. The 48v battery on the e-tec is located below the driver's seat (on LHD cars). So, the boot space should be the same & should take full sized wheel. Does it not come with one?
  23. Manoeuvre braking is only for low speed parking manoeuvres, and it uses the parking sensors. If you disable it, it will disable both front and rear auto braking. However, it is not related to front assist (AEB), as it is a different system. If you dont want to disable it, I think it will not intervene by braking if you are moving very slowly.
  24. I don't think there's a real need to go full OEM on windscreen washer fluid in terms of longevity. In my opinion, you only need to use windscreen washer fluid and top it off with distilled water, not tap water. However, I do seem to notice that the original washer fluid worked really well at dissolving debries compared to other stuff I used. Regarding the fluid level, I don't think that the car came with a lot of fluid. I also had the notification pop up rather quickly. However, the reservoir is quite large, so you can fill it up to the brim and it should last you a lot longer.
  25. I would say, for me, more interesting question would be if it is possible to get the upgraded infotainment (and Cockpit) visual look of the FL version, on our current displays. I guess that's out of realm of possibility?
