When I look up that part number you seem to be right, you are getting different results than I am getting. Engines for NX5 only 2.0 is listed either way on finder.koni.com.

On their site they mention it's only for multilink rear suspension, most octavias (besides "high" performance ones, generally 150 hp +) have torsion beam.

Something completely different and probably should have its own topic; I went from framed to frameless mirror with my Octavia. 3G0857511AD part number, the one I bought was came from a dismantled Elroq, but part is also available on Passat eg. I believe it was also shipped with certain Skoda Octavia 4's, but couldn't really find much, probably VRS. and yes, I forgot to take a picture after changing

I have yet to take the time to try and install, hopefully this weekend I can get around to cleaning and installing! @JirairD I think these are the same ones as you got? Could you describe in a bit more detail how to remove the current strip? Of course I don't want to break my interior ;)

For a couple euros you can get a vin readout online (ebay for example), that lists all specs/options of the vin, including engine and gearbox.

On the dutch parts website onderdelenlijn.nl most available headlight are 5E4, which I believe is for LHD, as this is explicitly a Left head with 5E8 code (which I think is always for RHD with O4) you should be fine. If you are looking at the one available at Klein Gunnewiek, in the comments on the previous site (sort local ebay for car parts) it has the following comment, I have added translation: Koplamp tbv rechts sturende auto (Headlight for right-hand drive car) Verstelbaar : Electrisch (Adjustable : Electric)

I have been doing some more digging. Was my initial interpretation wrong that there are two versions of the led? I have come across parts with no led (and also parts with led). Do all versions with LED have RGB?

@JirairD Alright, thanks. Are your old(?) ones the same as the picture in the topic start? From this information I would assume it is this part, although the description suggests it is textured and not flat.

@JirairD thanks for your reply. You've made me realise (and notice) 5E8 is RHD and 5E4 is LHD (which I have). I have my doubts regarding the letter you're reffering to A and C have always been revisions. In the below screenshot you can see the three character codes that seem to indicate version, the finish isn't that much of an issue I can simply look at the photos. However getting RGB is the main challenge.

Hi Everyone, I have been investigating how I can replace the decorative trim pieces on the console of the O4 (see attached picture (version I would like). The easy part has been figuring out the general part numbers, however I get stuck on the specifics. I know the O4 has two technical variants; one with stock leds and one with RGB leds, and that there is a multitude of different codes for all the different colours/textures. I would like to either find the haptic (square) silver ones or the plain matt silver ones to replace my (scratched🥲) gloss black version with RGB. Does someone have a clue on what specific part number to look for? #s I have come across: 5E4853192 & 5E4853190 or 5E8853192 & 5E8853190 Could someone also some insight in the best procedure to remove/replace the trim pieces? Indeed, the question was very specific about a cover with bumper cover. It is always better to start your own topic if you have a different question. Chances of finding a rubber mat are pretty low, skoda offers a couple (soft) plastic ones that are pretty decent though.

I have no reason to think they don't fit, so for ~40 Eur, I personally don't think it's a very high risk 😉

These ones aren't sportline specific and according the website they will work with all O4s excluding scout. Put the dsg into S mode, the engine won't turn off. I am not completely sure if coasting acts the same as D mode though. DSG tuning allows some customisation, however there are some limitations because of the e-tec (which I assume you mean with eTSi) system.

1.5 Etec (MHEV) has no setting to disable it (from the infotainment at least). My car doesn't have different drive modes, so I don't know if those change anything. However switching the DSG-selector from D to S, switches the controlunit to a mode where there's no coasting and start-stop is disabled (while in S-mode). I've had the DQ200 tuned, so D is a bit more sporty and S a bit less, it was an option to also disable coasting in D-mode with that tuning.

Hey guys, It took me some time, but managed to replace the 3rd brake light last weekend. I'll try to write a summary on the different parts that needed to be removed to get to it to help any further attemps along. However, it took ages even with the help of someone as we didn't really know how to remove each part and didn't want to damage anything, if you're not comfortable I recommend going to a dealer or other garage to get it fixed. Everything is at your own risk, be especially carefull when working with connectors of electronics or near electronic parts, to not damage them. (The following video is on a Octavia 3, but can you some idea of the removal of the big plastic piece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=uXg_Cw9DWtA) Step 1: Get the replacement part (V5E7945097 I believe). I recommend you also get new screws, I had to do with cleaning two that were a bit rusty. Step 2: Choose a day with a mate and plenty of time. Step 3: Remove the big part of the boot interior plastic (5E7867975A), be carefull to remove the connector of the button for the electronic boot before completely taking it off. This plastic part is mounted with 16 metal clips (image 1). Step 4: Remove the smaller plastic that's around the window (5E7867605), this has two screws (visible when you've done step 3), 11 clips and needs to be pulled to the inside to undo all clips (image 2 & 3). Step 5: Unclip the connector of the brake light and washer jet that's mounted in the spoiler (https://youtu.be/nH4BN3Fib1U?feature=shared&t=176). Also release the cableholder for the wire set to get more room to work by pulling it straight out (image 4 & 5). Step 6: Add protection (masking tape or cloth) to prevent damage to spoiler and rear of the car. Step 7: Remove 11 screws and nuts (image 6). A very small ratchet is highly recommended, or one can manage with a Torx 25 allen key for the 4 screws in the square holes. Step 8: After closing the tailgate, lift up the spoiler slowly although with some force to click it off. It is still somewhat held in with 5 red clips (image 7). Step 9: Replace brake light (I didn't take pictures, this step is pretty easy though as it is just 1 wire clip, 4 bolts and maneuvering the clips of the brake light out afterwards). After replacing the light, connect the cables back on the spoiler and to the car to confirm it works. I even went as far as to check all other lights and the washer nozzle. To mount the parts do the steps in the reverse order. Make sure to keep track (as good as possible) that all clips are correctly clicked in. I am to this day not sure if I got them all, although there are not rattles or weird bump in the plastic. If there are any questions, feel free to get in touch.
