TPMS,s really only became common because of Run Flat tyres and BMW / MINI drivers not noticing a flat or a blow out. A worry that a Yeti driver is not aware they have a puncture. They obviously should be aware no functioning TPMS when never testing or resetting pressures or replacing tyres and resetting the TPMS.

2012 TPMS became mandatory on all new type approved cars EU. 2014 became Mandatory. 2015 became part of UK MOT.

The many LR Defenders that are seen everywhere where built in Slovakia and have their loose squeaky doors and various other faultS. Who knows just how bad the Type 01 might be with it being assembled in Britain.

& maybe £150 plus to diagnose and not omit this if you agreed to have them do the job. Some like Park Skoda Hamilton even farm the work out to an independent because they employ incompetents. Not even all the gear but certainly no idea.

Did you try it in S? No way would I go to a Skoda Dealer with a DSG issue. An Automatic Gearbox Specialist is what is needed. And one that does DSG,s. & Brake fluid does need changed sometime in 8 years especially with low miles. I hope it had been done at some point.

But the Dealership has never touched the DSG while servicing, or have they? Did they con you into having it done? Hopefully not the MCU, but I fear it will be and not just the shifter.

Shows as a 2018 1.5 TSI ACT in profile. So DQ200. & Karoq,s never got the DQ250 6 speed, they got DQ381 7 speed wets.

^^^One less recall or service campaign that might concern those with VW Group vehicles with the steering wheel on the correct side. Just those with the wheel on the wrong side to see if their vehicle is part of the Global Recall.

Advances are apparently being made towards the new Super low carbon hub @ Orchard Bank Forfar with HGV EV charging and Hydrogen filling. This is according to Angus Council, and the cost is being quoted at £6 million and no longer just £4.6 million. It would be good if they could have the 4 rapids (50 kW) and 6 AC chargers all working and giving out there Max speed to vehicles plugging in with a low state of charge.

TSI,s can have misfires that might not log because not enough in a cycle. Back with Mk2 Fabia vRS there could be 'Limp mode' and not logged in the codes. @Sklinda Is it a 1.0 TSI or a MPI?

The manufacturers Advice, Recommendations, Spec, Schedule is at 80,000 miles on a DQ381. And Dealerships say oil filter at 2nd service. Both things are crazy if you have a car that you own and is a keeper. ** Ask that same Salesperson about a VAQ Diff and when that is due a service. See if they say 30,000 miles / 3 years, or 20,000 / 2 years (Mk4) or if they even know what it is. Brake fluid @ 3 years, or now at 2 years, do they know that is the Manufacturers schedule. Does AI.?

Welcome to the forum. Be aware that there are 2 different rear axles for mk2 Fabia vRS if getting an rear end with disc brakes.

Harry's Garage has a vid out today on the Jaguar Type 01 ifv someone can link it here. The getting in and out looks crap, the cars controls / touch screen stuff looks total crap and you will need your seat forward or long arms and good eye sight. To me it looks total crap as a luxury car and certainly not an easy drive.

@Kojne Welcome to the forum. What country are you in? Does the car you are getting have a comprehensive service history? How many km has it done? Has the DSG had an oil and filter change? Has the VAQ diff been serviced, maybe twice by now?

VW Group including Skoda sometimes get away in the UK with telling the DfT / DVSA that there is no need for a SAFETY CRITICAL RECALL because they will do a Voluntary Service Campaign / Recall Action and get registered keepers contact details from the DVLA. These have been known to mean nothing. The ones that look like they might get priority dues to the years covered and earliest are the VW Caddy.

700 miles a day + couriering sounds exactly like bull sh-it to me so i will react as i wish.

700 miles in a day driving would be 14 hours or more. Sounds like BS if the car / vehicle has one driver. Taxis might well be doing that with more than one driver.

@Cgwchris Was that local garage quoting near £1,000 to replace or a Skoda main Dealership? Was that after a Tech or Master tech inspecting the pipes?

When were the spark plugs replaced, or the air filter, or even inspected? What age of car having done how many miles?
