  1. A member posted that this was carried out on their DSG. Has anyone else had this or any other Recall Actions / Service Campaigns or been told of a TPI / TSB for their DQ381 DSG?
  2. @BeaverRS Re the Recall or TPI /TSB or ''Service Action '37VQ' on a DQ381 DSG might interest many that might never of heard about this. Were you notified of a RECALL as the Registered Keeper, or did you find out when reporting an Issue. ie A Skoda Secret Service 'Recall Action'. Need to know and owners need not be told! EDIT PS. What country are you in?
  3. PS. So maybe this week more drilling and extraction of Oil & Gas in the north sea will be approved. So more Oil & Gas to be exported. No refinery in Scotland anymore so this oil and gas will make no difference. If there is gas going to come ashore they best get building storage facilities.
  4. Very important that the Battery Farms get build so that the renewable generated electricity can be stored for when needed rather than turbines being closed down. 2 new offshore windfarms in the Moray Firth hjave just been granted licences. The North & South Caledonia windfarms. Estimated to be able to power 2 million households. So all the households there are in Scotland. Amazing how many windfarms there are in Scotland all able to power every household in Scotland. Substations need built but are not getting planning. Pylons are required bit planning is being blocked. New Hydro Schemes were being blocked and now developers are saying not economically viable because of The UK Government and how they support the energy required. They would rather it is bought in from overseas, and not locally overseas, but from the EU or European Countries other than Scotland.
  5. ^^^ There are 2 oils in the DQ200 DSG, in the box and in the MCU. Box oil might be dirtier than MCU oil. (green)
  6. It needs checked to see if it is the MCU (Mechatronic Control Unit) leaking. Checked if there is enough oil in it. Did your DQ200 DSG ever get the Service Campaign action done after early 2014 and the Synthetic oil changed to Mineral & the software update. '34F7' Sticker in spare tyre well. Or was your DQ200 after this and did it get '34H5' carried out?
  7. They are 'havering', the Dealership and VW Warranties. They can do adjustments / resets by plugging in. The Adjustment of the clutch packs is the same as if they were fitting new clutch packs. They are going into the box to look see what the fault it. £3,000 covers the cost of new clutch packs. VW Warranties need to clearly understand 'an adjustment' compared to what is actually being done. Is the Dealerships Tech actually doing 'The Adjustment' or farming it out, as even dealerships as big as Parks might do. eg Parks Skoda Hamilton.
  8. Councillors have approved planning permission for the biggest Solar Farm in the Scotland in Perth & Kinross region. Not that there is a shortage of renewable electricity in the area, just a lack of National Grid infrastructure and electricity generating businesses being paid to not generate electricity. What is the potential generation already, 4 times what Scotland homes and businesses require. The UK Government have already approved the biggest and second biggest Solar farms in the UK, in England.
  9. Welcome to the forum. What engine & DSG does your 2017 Octavia in India have?
  10. Skoda's fastest accelerating production car available to the general public from dealers is the Elroq vRS. Lovely if everything has been fully sorted on these. A 10 year no quibble warranty on the complete vehicle would be 'simply clever'.
  11. @Peltsu Has your 9 year old car had Body Inspections during services or the Sun Roof Serviced where there could have been Corrosion spotted early on? When did you first see signs of rust? Inspections are not actually in the Skoda 3 year paint warranty or 12 year corrosion warranty T&C,s . Yet Skoda / VW often say 'no record of being done'. Yet Body Inspections feature as part of Skoda / VW Main Dealer Servicing. So with a Service Record if no record of an Inspection they know who do not do it. .......................... How many people are offered a Sun Roof Service or pay to have it done?
  12. Will the original factory fitted air bags still function? & from the OP, how would a 31 year old car fair if subjected to a crash-test?
  13. If you install a charger at home and get a 10 pence a kWh or less tariff then it is almost a no brainer. 100 kWh £10 and get 350-400 miles for that. But there is the charger installation to pay for. Do you really want to buy a used EV though? Is there no lease deals worth considering? Maybe not with the miles per year you are doing.
  14. Maybe try some E5. Lots of rubbish fuel about since the 'Military Action' in Iran. Everyone will be looking for Software Updates now. I Love 'Skoda Secret Service Service Campaigns'.
  15. What country are you in? Is the ECU Software update because of a TPI / TSB from Skoda? What ambient temperatures are you talking about where you are? When were the spark plugs inspected or replaced? Is there a fresh clean air filter fitted? What is the fuel used, E5 or E10?
  16. OT but the Haldex Servicing is scheduled as @ 30,000 miles / 3 years or sooner.
  17. ^^^ Not how i see newer BEV,s being driven thankfully. Reps have places to be and people to see.
  18. ^^^ Not that important if 12 years on it was not done if the DSG is working well.
  19. Welcome to the forum. There is a pinned thread top of page. Yes a 1.2 TSI from 2010 came with a DQ200 DSG. If it is still driving well @ 16 years old then yes reliable. It might have had new clutches, clutch forks, thew MCU or a repair kit. Or it might be as it left the factory. It might never of had the 2 oils changed. But then many will be like that. Timing chain. Might have had thew upgraded chain / tensioner fitted already. Is the car starting OK and no rattle? Look at the plug leads. Has it got armoured ones fitted? PS, check if any record of the DQ200 having had the Recall Action? Service Campaign '34F7' Change of oil and a software update. Sticker in the Spare Tyre well.
  20. Now more common Adverts saying 500 miles and plus range. eg Volvo EX60. £56,860-£70,360. Lease deals currently around £720 a month. If 400 miles is achieved without even trying that is pretty damn good. 4 miles a kWh, 100 kWh @ 7 pence a kWh, £7.00 to go 400 miles.
  21. It would not be a 'Recall' Unless vehicles were being 'Recalled' or Keepers notified. it would be a TPI or TSB. Technical Product Information or Technical Service Bulletin.
  22. ^^^ An old Leaf maybe. Not the current ones Like older smaller cars from Stellantis, MINI / BMW etc. Which there are many of.
