  1. Is there no place in your local that does a 'Custom exhaust'? Who did the Stage 2 map on it? You have several Tuners around the Cambridge area, why not discuss with one with a good reputation locally and see what they suggest for the exhaust. & A place with a Dyno.
  2. Found the Facebook pages.
  3. A workshop / technician / fitter should hardly need it explained as they should be Test Driving vehicles. Salespeople and management drive 'Perks' / demonstrators, and new and used vehicles. This is a full time job for them, week in and week out. If they have no knowledge of issues maybe they are all called 'Tommy'
  4. @RMH How much touching up then. Actual paint & lacquer applied, so some masking, cleaning off wax / silicone, wet and dry, spraying & then polishing? Do you know for sure they do not have Man or Woman in a van come to do work at the dealership. Matters not, they either accept responsibility or not. They have insurance.
  5. A Mod might be along to move to the Mk2 section. Is the car a TSI or TDI?
  6. What might of caused the stress / distortion of the body after 2 years? Will a replacement screen be glued in differently and not be under the same stresses?
  7. Yes it could have been heated. They know if so. How were the touch ups done? Did they not polish and wax the car before returning it. You miss the point, it is a front wing you said. I only point out that even if the bonnet was covered the person doing the polishing might of laid up a heavish polisher. Only a suggestion based on experience over 5 decades. I did Warranty paint work.
  8. Polishing. Orbital Polisher. I was a Spray Painter. But not one that would dunk stuff up on the bonnet. Or where many do next to the wipers. No warranty on the Glass Sunroof or Windscreen on a 2 year old car, especially if not faulty. It survived winter 2024 and 2025. The Service Manager or Dealer Principal just needs to ask the 'Operative / Tech or Man in a Van if they were careless and cracked the screen. They might own up or maybe not. But the dealership should know if it is not the first time this sort of thing happened while getting 'Warranty work' done. Bodyshop or whoever.
  9. @RMH Where were the minor scratches that were being dealt with? Hopefully some person was not careless with their orbital polisher and had it laid down near the wipers when working. Or when not working. A Warranty T&C,s is clear enough if you read it. Fundamental, design, manufacturing or material faults. Well it is not that as the car was built over 2 years ago.
  10. At Aberdeen beach. Spotted on Facebook not in the flesh.
  11. Always worth doing a Keyword search.
  12. Mid-cycle facelift of the 4th generation Octavia!
  13. The 8 Rectangular holes are over kill. It is not a Jeep or a Suzuki Jimny and never will be.
  14. Maybe try next time not in ECO & B drive. Just get a move on and home.
  15. Maybe post a picture of what your DSG shifter looks like and the 'panel in front' or around of it where the Yellow 'Pull release' is under.
  16. Not done it on a Kamiq but have on other DQ200,s. Not difficult, and ant Breakdown Recovery person will do it, or just put the front wheels on dollys.
  17. ^^^ Arnold Clark Servicing Central Booking offered me a Special Offer when booking in an EV which was a Motability Car and i was not paying for the Service or Recall action. The Special price was for a Fuel Treatment & Engine Flush. They also said no Automatic Courtesy cars. I pointed out they had e-Corsa Courtesy cars the same as was getting serviced and they only come as AUTOMATICS..............Some BEV,s require a reduction diff oil change. Tesla, Nissan Leaf. Pollen filters, Brake Fluid changes. Brakes, suspension, steering components Servicing & Maintenance, Wipers, hinges. XXXXXXXXXXXBelow my Fixed for 12 month tariff. Eon Next. If i renewed 1 day earlier it would have been cheaper. 'He who hesitates!'
  18. Lots of people are just not wanting Wind or Solar Electricity messing up where they live, they want it to them from other places as if by magic.
  19. Just remember if you are ever pulled for a 'Roadside check' say it was you that did the DPF delete and not land the garage in the sh!t.
  20. @Warrior193 3rd time there with dogs and the other cars are parked all days. So doors can be opened and then i am away. No point me in a bay if someone parks next to me and i could not get back in the car. Only the EV charging bays are wide.
  21. The Police Offices / Station was moved out of Forfar to beside the Council HQ that they are trying to sell and the Public Charging hub. This is the first time i have seen a Police EV charging on the 50 kW chargers that seldom give that Max output. 2 Officers in the car while charging. What a total P!th take and waste of time. At least they can sit looking at a couple of nice cars.
  22. They do like to lie quite often. BUT if they do not want your business that is maybe that. Spark plugs are 40,000 miles or 4 years. They might be perfect after 5,600 miles & 9 years. But best check, and while taking out and looking as well to have them changed. ...........................I was denied booking for a service offer on a Skoda Fabia vRS at a VW Dealership (Their service price included spark plugs and the Skoda service did not.) as they had a cartel running with the Skoda Dealership the service desk person claimed that they had no Equipment or software to Service and update the Service record. I asked to speak to the Dealer Principal. I explained that i was quite happy to call the local Radio station and newspaper and point out how they operated. He explained there was some misunderstanding @ the Service Desk and they were happy to service VW Group vehicles. PS. Air Filter needs checked, Pollen filter as well. Maybe replaced If not done recently. When was the Oil & Filter changed last?
  23. Looking forward to hearing how they are long term as far as grip and wear rate. Just watch for early wear of edges.
