Where is the oil level when the engine is at normal operating temp and stopped a few minutes , 4 or 5. Compared to when all in the sump and cold. The owners manual way is a hot check for every engine but 1. The 1.2 44k engine with 2.8 litre capacity.

According to the Skoda Dealsrship or an employee Skoda CZ are happy manufacturing crap quality vehicles. They deserve as much social media coverage as possible on the likes of this issue. Maybe a Lemon award .

@Windybum Have you driven a 7 speed?

Best with a DQ250 IMO, but if had a MCU repair likely a DQ381. The one that is a lottery. Servicing should be good with emergency vehicles but not always a given. , Haldex might need doing properly. If K&N filters used they get binned at services and replaced, not 'cleaned and treated' which is nice.

@NICK87 Even if you are safe what about other road users, like cyclists or bikers if you lose lots of oil while driving or even worse diesel? How much oil or diesel are you seeing?

@FrankL maybe give some idea of where you are and where driving and the roads as in speed limits, types, average speed cameras or not about. An average speed on a journey of like 55 mph is very different from a 65 mph average. Then the type of road and the regen achieved or not. Have you tried other than ECO to get better efficiency?

Welcome. The car has a max revenue weight (max gross vehicle weight). Loaded to that it should not be dragging its bum. But i see your point. Suspension can get tired.

Fixed with just a valve replacement not the sensor and better than mates rates, done for free gratis. Larry.

@Jim Reire No 8 speed DSG,s in Europe unless you count 7 forward and reverse. 1.5 or 1.4 FWD do not use the DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG, they get a 7 speed wet clutch DSG.

My Off Peak at 5.9 pence a kWh means 55 kWh home charging is £3.25 & if getting 3.1 mile a kW/h i can go 152 miles. But then if i need to Public Charge @ 65 pence to get back that is 50 x 65 = £32.50. 300 miles is £35.75........... If it was a petrol getting 40 mpg , 7.5 gallons, 34 litre @ 160 pence a litre. £54.55. More miles from home charging and you can be Larry. & if Better efficiency more so.

It could have had a Transplanted CTHE engine, but that would need to be after CTHE,s when introduced in 2012.

Skoda have Customer Services and Bots / AI and contractors providing the service. No idea if Ireland use the same system as VW Group UK, but they can be so so and sometimes almost brilliant. But then that is how many Customer Services are now.
