FABIA MK4 - TSI - DLAA maintenance ?
Do all checks visually pre and post winter. Check tyres / pressures regularly. Check the Pollen / Cabin filter and clean or replace each year rather than 2 if you want. Check the Air Filter annually rather than every 6 years / 60,000 miles. Spark Plugs every 40,000 miles / 4 years. Brake fluid change is now each 2 years rather than first at 3 then each 2. A search of Briskoda service charts, or Oil & Inspection Services will likely show you what little Skoda Main Dealer Servicing involves. They might tick a box, that means nothing, certainly not that it was done.

1.5 TSI booked in for timing belt replacement
That was the pre June 2023 Service Sheet i posted.

1.5 TSI booked in for timing belt replacement
But the UK had unique advice, recommendations From VW Group UK & Main Dealerships.. A not 'Dust Rich Country'. The VW Group in UK,s Customer Services contractor / call handlers are really next to useless,

1.5 TSI booked in for timing belt replacement
But, in the UK for many many years, Skoda, SEAT, Audi & VW have had it as recommended at 5 years / 50,000 in the 'Not Dust Rich Country' for all the engines with belts. This was the goose that laid the Golden Egg. There are Main Dealers Service Desk Staff that will still say this is the Schedule, Recommendation, Specification.

1.5 TSI booked in for timing belt replacement
^^^ Worth a message to the Service Centre / Branch Manager to make them aware more staff training required.

the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol For the same purpose that false statistics are trotted out now by the Government or Politicians or those with a financial interest. This time it would maybe show that it is those and such as those that benefit most. The haves get more and more for less, and those at the lower statuses as far as wealth / income get shafted. Car registrations and those declared offroad when no private buyer has turned a mile in them is something that needs looked at much closer.
- 1.6TDi engine is "under-revved" between ~1250-1500RPM

1.2TSI Oil
PS, has it gone all metric down London England way? Fixed Regime up to 9,400 miles / 372 days as Skoda UK had it. Variable / Flexible, 18,000 - 20,000 miles / 24 months.

1.2TSI Oil
& that is only to VW 502 00, & not VW504 00 / 507 00? Not Long Life? I used to get cheap in Discount supermarkets Castrol Edge 5w 40 FS VW502 00 Not because cheaper than the LL but because i did not use Long Life Oil in 1.4 TSI Twinchargers.

1.2TSI Oil
0w 30 FS III hardly got a mention until it was the recommended oil for some engines like thew TDI / TSI that VW Group did not Recommend 0w 20 FS IV for. VW508 00 / 509 00 So a few years after your car / engine was built. These in the chart below were for Fabia / Roomster TSI,s / petrols 2007-2015. 2007-2010 some were Fixed Oil Service Schedule only, while the engine in a VW could be Variable / Flexible Servicing. (Toyota changed from 5w 30 FS III to 0w 30 FSIII in 2010 after they had gone Euro 5 from Euro 4 and there were complaints about the kidology of MPGs, they had published.)

Gear number display on Virtual Cockpit
@Aldfort I do actually drive various VW Group cars and pay attention to VW,s, Seats, Skoda & Audis. New cars or nearly new as well as having driven older ones.

1.2TSI Oil
@BlueWagon What oil is it you use? Does the 5w 30 you use not say Long Life and is to VW504 / 507 & not say to VW 502 00 5w 40 FS is usually to VW502 00 & for fixed service intervals / 9,400 miles / 12 months. VW504 00 / 507 00 be it 0w 30 FS III or 5w 40 FS III is for Variable Servicing or Fixed Oil Servicing. @TenaciousLee Plenty 0w 30 FS III available. It is on the selves at ASDA or TESCO. But your engine just needs 5w 40 FS is fixed oil changes or 5w 30 FS III if fixed or variable. Seeing as it is a 2013 1.2 TSI.

Applying to 'Most' on VW's Mostly after 2021 is great. So what date is it for Skodas?

the truth about electric cars
So still the Social Divide. Not only those that can not charge an EV where they live / where their home is for 'much cheapness'. Now we are considering & discussing those that can generate their own electricity for charging vehicles or heating / powering their residence after spending on the stuff needed to do that. Maybe the Office for Statistics or whoever can give the % of those with offroad access for taking vehicles to charge and then those that have solar panels at the property. If they do not know they can make a guesstimate, or just publish any old figure. They can use AI and maybe come up with those with Solar Panels but no vehicle access to the property. Then those places like Farms / Race Tracks / Hospitals / Schools / Crems etc with Turbines and or Solar panels.

Gear number display on Virtual Cockpit
Pre 2024 /25 is not relevant really as the Gear still showed when in D with a VC.

Gear number display on Virtual Cockpit
Best if people that have the Gear Indicator showing the numbers say when their car was built. Obviously it is not one that Skoda produced that does not show the gears.

the truth about electric cars
At least it is not just about how different or superior ICE vehicles were & still are. Or, How the future might be brighter when technology gets even better than a £40,000 Passenger EV that can do 500 miles without recharging. I do not see a Renault Twingo going 6 miles on a kWh which could be free or maybe just 6.7 pence.

Correct Tyre Pressure?
Location location location then, and different world regions and climates. Your posts about pressures never mentioned which wheels / tyres. You could have been on 18" and low profile.

the truth about electric cars
Really really when talking NHS & NHS in England that needs saying. As to GB Energy. Now odd that is not UK Energy. It is 'The UK taking control of it's energy future. (The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.)

Correct Tyre Pressure?
@fabiamk4man Back 35 or even 20 years ago what sort of width & profile of tyre was on cars about the weight of a Mk4 Fabia?

the truth about electric cars
Remember when a Politician in England says This Country, that might be England only and not all regions / countries in the UK.

the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol Now there is the Champagne Socialists in Government and they couldn't care a jot about the least well off or in need. There are the donors and sponsors to get payback for the clothes, glasses, accommodation & holiday accommodation etc that went to those in the cabinet and front bench. PS. Cabinet Ministers and others in Parliament seem to 'Forget or fail to know about taxes or Council Taxes they might be due to pay'. That's what comes from not paying attention to your Local Council, or maybe having various properties in areas or towns that are not your constituency. No idea why when they get a Grace & Favour home their rental income profits for another property they have does not go to The Treasury after Fair Wear and tear and overheads, legal costs.

the truth about electric cars
^^^ Hoorah. Love it, the very person that has spent decades trying to reduce their personal taxes & boasting about it. When people have more than enough and can pay more after a life of working towards managing when retired then great, they can carry on carrying on paying taxes.
