  1. Thanks Lee, I’ve spent a couple of hours browsing. There’s lots a great information for me to digest on here 👍
  2. It seems that there is now a block on most modification that users cab do. Ross Tech are one of the main manufacturers of the required devices. There website says that there is a “new” security system blocking most changes that were possible on earlier models. Due to the new international and EU safety rules I understand, to stop you from switching off mandatory safety settings. My understanding is that all lighting systems are covered by this. The information is a few months old, with Ross Tech saying they have been waiting quite a while for a response from VAG. Don’t buy any device that says it can do the coding mods on newer vehicles, they are not able to do so. My understanding is that it’s not simple for dealerships either. They require authority from Germany and it’s a chargeable service to them 🤷‍♂️ I was hoping to to the same lighting change. John
  3. TEMU, Sadly has the sort of thing your looking for, it’s an easy search, I’m undecided on buying one or the OEM rubber Mat. It will be a next year decision for me. This sort of thing: https://www.temu.com/uk/pet-mat-protector-for-cars-universal-non-slip-mat-protector-for-dog-car-trunk-mat-with-side-protection--and--trunk-mat-g-601100344484327.html?_oak_name_id=5565001530425258109&_oak_mp_inf=EOfDh6Sp1ogBGiAxMjhlZGU0MjdhNjk0MmE0OWQ4ZTU1YmEyNDcxOTQxYyC55%2BzvpzM%3D&top_gallery_url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.kwcdn.com%2Fproduct%2Ffancy%2F925efdbe-de9d-4085-9cb2-1a8828b8350b.jpg&spec_gallery_id=88164&refer_page_sn=10009&refer_source=0&freesia_scene=2&_oak_freesia_scene=2&_oak_rec_ext_1=MTY3Nw&_oak_gallery_order=1481799970%2C288805707%2C929595011%2C2135176648%2C1600548368&search_key=Skoda%20Superb%202024%202025%20Boot%20mats&refer_page_el_sn=200049&_x_sessn_id=66hik3dyeq&refer_page_name=search_result&refer_page_id=10009_1763050105201_dnxzmf8ic7&adt_btn_confirm=0&mn_ext= I hope it helps John
  4. I’m a long term Passat lover, I could not stretch to the Passat model I’d have liked. A Superb Estate in SE L trim and a diesel 150 for me. I’m sure I’ll learn to love it 🤞🤞🤞😎
  5. As a new owner,,,,, next week does it play nicely from my phone and CarPlay? John
  6. Blimey, I’ve ran VAG Diesels since 1993. I have never had to top up between services without a fault (1 only sump gasket failed on a B6 Passat Estate at about 110k miles. If my new superb does drink that much oil, I’ll be well P****d 😳
  7. Still waiting to pick up my new Superb 2.0 TDI, after reading all the threads on software issues, am a little worried. Asked the dealer to insure the software updates were all done. There was 25 in the queue, all now done they tell me. Over 30 years of VAG vehicles, the last one I’m handing over next week when the mud flaps are fitted (Passat B8 Estate). My Mrs will be unimpressed with me if it’s rubbish 😩
  8. Very nice motor, I like the colour John
  9. Hi, I’ve been a VAG owner since 1994, from a Vento TDI to Passat models, Estate and Saloon, plus an Audi A3 with DSG that I traded for yet one more Passat Estate, the Audi was to small, but I enjoyed using the DSG in S mode. I just paid for my new Superb Estate and am waiting for the mud flaps to be fitted. I’m not tech minded and get almost all of any work required either through a dealer (if in Warranty) or a local VAG specialist that I trust. My car is almost always clean and tidy both inside and out. I drive between 10 and 12k a year mainly 3040 mile runs with shorter shopping stuff and longer runs about a dozen times a year. Too old to work and still enjoying life, family and friends. Hopefully I’ll fit in hear and enjoy your company. Thanks for letting me in. John
