Jay, To be honest, I can’t recommend one from the other. You’re correct in that it’s an AI (I asked to different models and both said the same thing in a slightly different manner). I have in the past had uses of VCDS, that did the very limited stuff easily (wind back to pads for brake pad changes and code for a new battery, day light changes) but that’s just the simple stuff. It might be that ODB 3 is more than you need. I can’t advise either way to be honest.

OK, I would never tell you what to spend your hard earned on. The info I added would I’d have thought might have pointed to the ODB11 3. However, you didn’t see that 👍

Rifleman, That’s very interesting. To be honest whilst I used ACC for the Mway journeys, I didn’t monitor the screen enough to see of this happened to me. No Mway journeys planned foe at least this month. I’ll try torember the next time ‘I hit the M4’ Thank for the very informative post 👍

Well, a nice dry trip both ways. Sadly no change on my screen still only showed One lane on both the m4 and M5 outbound. The return journey was via the A40 and M4 both only showed One lane. My Superb is a June 2025 build and on the older hardware/software. This must be the issue 🤷‍♂️

Allegedly there are only 2 brands authorised by VW group for newer vehicles. There are VCDS OBD11 3 As it’s only their new devices that can change more than the basic settings on cars 2 years old and newer (generalisation here of course ) If your car is new is with the latest software version, you’ll need to cough up the bucks. I’ have been looking at these off and on for 19 months (before I bought the Superb). Still haven’t made the decision (I’m not likely to be fit enough to do stuff myself for a few months yet tbo)

If you’re switching off the motor and the fan still runs for a few minutes, that shows two (possible ) issues. The first and most normal is your turbo is very hot and needs cooling down - just run at tick over for a couple of minutes to safely cool it down. The other and more problematic issue is you’ve switch off when a DPF regen is in progress. This causes 2 (or more?) issues. One the added diesel injected waters down your engine oil. Not by much but if this is happening every day then it will increase over time. The 2nd and one you will notice. On restarting the engine will start a regen again - running at 1,00 rpm instead of about 800 rpm is a good sign. You need to run a longer distance 40km or so on a fast road every 7/10 days this should (provided you DPF is in need of work) resolve your problems. I had this engine in my last Passat Estate, ran it for about 138,000kms before trading it to my Superb. As my work was about 35km on the motorway both ways never had an issue

For the sign recognition to work, you need all the privacy option enabled is my understanding. Go into the settings on the display switch off all options (one tap) switch off for a few minutes switch back on and enable all the privacy options. It should work shortly after 🤞

Are you using the App? I suspect you need it. Also on the display switch off all permissions, then switch off the car )Skoda say for about 10 minutes) users on here say that’s not needed, just give it a minute or two. Switch back on and able ALL permissions and it should be resolved.

That’s interesting, I normally hold the wheel at 20 past/too. The next time I’m running cruise control, I’ll see if that makes any difference. Making the micro adjustments work, however my hold if quite firm and I find it very annoying to say the least.

I’ve the same issue, to be honest it’s so time consuming that now I try to get the cleaner spray in the “gutter” all the way around, then just pressure wash it out a few times until the water in the bottom is clear. It so stupid, it must be a strengthening design enabling a light wheel and less materiel = cheaper to build.

Last weekend we drove from Bristol to South Manchester for a few days with my Sister. Traveled on the M4, M5 and M6. On the M4 and M5, no ghost limits,great. The M6 from Spaghetti junction to Sandbatch, I had at least 7 ghost limits most at 30mph whilst in 60mph limit. A couple of 50 mph in normal 70mph stretches. There hasn’t been a roadwork in these areas for a few months. On the South bound journey I had 1 ghost 60mph in a 70 stretch.

My Superb is now 7 months old. Initially I had this issue. Washed the screen (outside) 6/7 times over 10 minutes, cleaned the blades with the same cleaner a few times - issue has never reoccured. Bosch Blades are better, I have a set waiting for the day there are needed
