  1. More likely that they're old enough and wise enough to realise it isn't worth a) losing your license killing yourself or anyone else c) wasting bloody expensive fuel/tyres d) using valuable calories changing down just to prove to some (generally, in my experience) Burberry-cap wearing Nova/Saxo/Corsa driver that their car is as fast as said Nova/Saxo/Corsa driver already knows it is.
  2. True, but the immobiliser IS Cat 2 approved - and for insurance purposes very few underwriters will discount any more for Cat 1 security over Cat 2.
  3. I can understand that the seat belt bong is annoying, but why would anyone want to turn off the warning light? Unless they are a) medically exempt from wearing the belt one of the numerous ignorant prats who persist in driving around their clapped out pieces of sh!t with no belt on. Usually with a couple of greasy looking five or six year olds standing on the rear seat, also not strapped in. Seems irresponsible to me.
  4. My vRS had the single slot Symphony and the six disc changer, and both will play CDRs, but CDRWs seem to be a no-no.
  5. I'm gonna be realllly cruel here If it's speed kicks you're after, wouldn't a proper vRS be a better bet
  6. Unless there's something very very weird about the Furby, which I doubt, the intercooler basically sits between the airbox and the turbo, just like every other turbo car. The air passes through the filter, box, pipework, intercooler, turbo inlet pipe, turbocompressor, and inlet manifold, before being mixed with fuel and going bang. If things didn't work this way, then it would be safe to assume that unfiltered air would be used when the turbo 'kicks' in and sucks air through the intercooler. Thus, although I've never even looked at any of the Cupra intake threads or ever seen under the bonnet of a Vrs, I would suspect that the Cupra intake simply allows more air into the inlet tract by virtue of a larger intake diameter/smoother air delivery path. 7. You must use the current style plastic yellow and white plates. Silver/Black plates are 'car age' dependent not 'plate age'. A vehicle registered after 1st Jan 1973 is not eligible for the old plate format and must use yellow/white plates regardless of the registration mark carried.
  8. Glad to hear you're enjoying it so far mate. Hope everything goes well for you.

  12. Autometer oil-filled are what I've had on several of my turbo cars, as they give a very accurate and stable reading, and most of the models have a peak boost recall feature which looks cool. Expensive though... expect to pay

  16. There's only something like 25-30 in the UK out of 38 RHD models though... They'd have made more, but could only find 100 people in the world who'd pay 20K for a Skoda
