Adaptive Headlights
I assume they do as JR RS posted above, his car is a 2017 model.

The dealer had one job... oil fail
I took my fairly new Mondeo TDCI back to a local dealer to complain about it being overfilled , only to be told patronisingly, don't worry it's a diesel. I waited whilst they drained it to the correct leve, gave them back the 13mm ring spanner, which I found, left by the original mechanic, trapped under the bonnet and never went back.

Adaptive Headlights
Clustered around your mirror, ensure your windscreen is clean. Otherwise I am not sure why it wouldn't work properly.

They will Just recover your existing seat frame & bolsters with new leather. Check out their website.

Adaptive Headlights
I got flashed a couple if times on a short winter commute then realised that I had accidentally switched to constant main beam rather than leaving it on auto. Otherwise I find them very effective as they shape the main beam away from oncoming traffic rather than just dipping automatically. I presume your windscreen light sensors aren't blocked

Superb L&K at Hendy Bournemouth
Apart from actually removing the wheels, for the extra money taken from your wallet, what is the difference between inspect and check? All the replenishments sound impressive until you realise that your vehicle isn't old enough or been driven sufficient miles to require/qualify for the service. Routine servicing is basic.

Engine revs without foot on accelarator
Kangaroo hopping when cold appears to be a normal function of the 1.5 TSI as my friend has just found out with an Octavia mk IV. Dealer says it's normal.

Music
Connect your phone to the car using Bluetooth or with a lead via Apple Car Play. The in-car system will sound better playing music using iTunes , Spotify etc. If you struggle search YouTube instructional videos or use the manual. It's very simple.

Premium Floor Mats
Even with the better quality MKII VRS I used to buy a set of VRS mats every 2 years or so.. In the MkIII I used thick black rubber & carpet Halfords mats, which were fairly expensive and still look decent after many years, to protect the thin original ones. There's a good reason why Skoda's are cheaper than BMWs. Skimping on quality in the carpets, sound dampening etc. Of course every company is under pressure to reduce costs & weight to improve economy.

The age old question of diesel vs petrol...
250-300 miles electric range...as long as it's not cold and you lose 30-40% of the advertised range. Electric is the future... just not yet.

Clutch slipping!
I agree. My VRS 220 Stage 1 Shark remap was very smooth and torque was 480Nm/354 lb. I had no clutch slip at all. Even after burning the plates by accidentally not fully disengaging my foot from the pedal, whilst driving up a hill in 6th gear. I wondered why the rev counter needle was in the red but wasn't anywhere near max speed! It would easily spin the tyres on dry road even at reasonable speeds. Some of thus 'good luck' may be due to driving style, as you'd never get all the power down off the line by dumping the clutch. I found the extra grunt took me past moving traffic safely. The few times I really engaged ' traffic light mode' it was much easier to get it rolling then floor it. It never failed me.

Road noise in cabin
It does depend on what you are accustomed to. If you think the Superb is loud the road and tyre noise emitted by my MKIII Octavia VRS and Mk 7.5 Golf GTI were much worse. The GTI was disappointingly the worst. My L&K is significantly quieter in comparison.

Goodbye
There are members on this site who prefer to discuss (continuously argue) politics rather than cars. That’s why the ignore feature is so good.

The 280PS Thread
Your mileage, wallet and common sense will tell you whether you should buy a 272/280. You won’t regret the traction it offers. I saw a lovely Aprilia RSV4 sport bike yesterday in a friend’s garage. He said he could have continued reading all the reasons why not to buy one, or just go out and get it. He reasoned correctly that you only get one life, so decided to stop messing around.

What does WLAN do?
Sat waiting for my wife to have her vaccine I found WLAN. I can connect to the Columbus via Bluetooth or Apple Play. Is there any difference, I.r. can I stream Youtube via a browser from my iPhone onto the Columbus screen, as it seemed like there was a browser on the ingotsin ent screen. Or is it simply another way to link a phone to play music in the car.

Front shock absorber leaking
The shock absorbers will have been factory tested on extended mileage runs and a proving ground. Although they should cope with a number of overloads, they're still built to a price and can't always cater for unsympathetic driving styles. Besides the mileage and knowing that it has hit a curb with sufficient force to burst 2 tyres, it may have simply run over too many potholes or speed humps without slowing down, regularly overloaded etc.

Came down this afternoon to find this
Absolutely, probably quicker to unbolt and attach a new wing, salvageable is the word you were looking for.

First Stone Chip - 5 weeks old
It's not only Skodas, if you lived in Lincolnshire, where they dress many of main arterial and all of the A and B roads with chippings, I can guarantee over 3-4 years you'd have chipped paint or a replacement screen. It's obviously down to bad luck also. I had my MkII front resprayed, paint chips and 2 heated screens on the MkIII. The Superb already has a couple of marks.

Noise after remap???
That is L& K spec on a VRS. Very nice.

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus
No point in you buying a L&K Sasha, you’d be bored there’d be nothing for you to do and I don’t think there’s a L&K in Dragon Green. Also, after writing my last post, I watched a Skoda Virtual Pedal video, went outside, tried it and it works perfectly. Typical bloke, didn’t read the instructions. Simply place foot under bumper, withdraw ...wait 2-3 seconds, brake light illuminates and boot opens, same for closing.

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus
Sasha VC is very good, heated screen has been brilliant recently and will look good against the Dragon Green. Lovely colour. Not sure about the virtual pedal, mine is annoying and seems to work when it wants to, leaving me waving my foot hopefully undr the bumper. The reversing camera is definitely. You'll have noticed a big improvement in comfort and refinement. If you haven't got it fitted already and can bear the expense, DCC is definitely worth investing in. Looking forward to your upgrades.

The 280PS Thread
Glad it worked out well for you. In my case it would have been cheaper to have saved the premiums and paid the repair bills. As it was, I paid for a repair and the premium. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The 280PS Thread
I think you’ve saved your money. I took out a well know company warranty recommended by Honest John car site on my 1st VRS. The warranty was so tightly written that any hint of wear, corrosion on any moving part and they refuse to pay. Unless you are a trained mechanic and can prove instantly, cheaply it have deep pockets and iron will to argue it out in small claims court, you might as well not bother.

Getting rid of the Superb, what next...
Does an ideal affordable car exist? A better if you could afford it and have enough room on your drive, would be a more exciting weekend car and a larger daily load carrier.
