I was always under the impression that Extra gloss protection was applied after the wax.

I had a similar problem with my driver's door, cured it by spraying plenty of W D 40 thru the handle while it was pulled back.

I think you will find Magnatec A1 is the lowest spec going, if you look at the info on the back it says A1/B1 which is a European spec, better oils are A3/B3 and so on. American spec is API which stands for AMERICAN PETROLEUM INSTITUTE. Their spec is usually API SM/CD.

News to me i like to keep up on oil specs, I have not heard anything.

If its Mobil 1 ESP 5/30 it is VAG spec 504.00/507.00 which is the correct oil to use. I use it my self as i got a few from Asda @ £15.00 when they were selling it off.

I polished my car with 2 coats of AG SRP and then 2 coats of AG EGP which i left on for a hour each time,Water still beads off the paintwork and that was 12 months ago.

You do not need to use the wind back tool for the front discs,I have used a G clamp in the past.

Mine smokes a little on start up when its a cold morning and when the tank is full of Asda diesel, Doesn't happen when its full of Shell,work that one out.

I used liquid flash in a bucket of warm water and a floor cloth to wipe down my seats and headlining when i stopped smoking, worked a treat, looks like new.

I have never used Millers myself but they have a good reputation,But any oil that has VAG 504.00/507.00 on the label will be okay, I prefer major brands such as Castrol Edge, Mobil 1,or Shell Helix.

True that works well until the brats get in the back with their coke cans and sweet wrappers, LOL.

I tend to use spray glass cleaner,leaves all the plastics clean and original.

I used to use it years ago on a mk 2 Golf GTI, It worked well on the unpainted bumpers and wheelarch extensions but crap on the dashboard,too shiny.
