  1. Another option albeit, not cheap: http://www.carcamerashop.co.uk/cellink-neo6-battery-pack.html saw this recently when looking at replacing my somewhat useless mi-witness camera.
  2. Yeah, I think you're right. I'm trading it in for a Kodiaq in a few weeks (all being well) so it'll be sorted for the new owner at least
  3. Hopefully the last update on this topic from me: First, the folks at Marshall ŠKODA in Reading have been very helpful through this issue. Recording the when the issues took place, both with pen and paper, videoing examples, and finally it occurring when visiting the dealership all helped to move things along. After performing many checks on the engine, my specific issues have been traced to a faulty DMF which is being replaced under warranty. It appears to have been sticking during the start-up process and therefore causing the engine to stall, and may also explain the noises during gear change. I’ve no idea if that could relate to the ‘fix’ in anyway, or if it is just coincidental timing. Should have it back next week sometime.
  4. Pretty sure someone has managed without their order number, I imagine they can search based on your details. But order number is easiest, and the only way I have done it. (Just seen elsewhere you went with other info)
  5. I appear to be a confirmed build next week now (BW 13). So with any luck it might arrive in April or early May A lot of me wants it before tough mudder (6 May), but another bit really doesn't with beige leather sets.
  6. I think it was offline for a while this morning - normally 8am to 8pm. Otherwise, you can call the customer services number and they’ll help too.
  7. The closest you can get is to ask ŠKODA Customer services through the live chat on the contact us page (uk).
  8. Intriguing, I had the same when asking for a quote from a dealer in Aldershot. Perhaps it's a more common practice than I thought. At this point, surely you can ask them to amend the order and remove all those items, and then re-issue? If not, you could cancel for piece of mind? And then set up a new order, might add a week to delivery, but you wouldn't have the above worries.
  9. Agree, I felt the same way. It’s not an insignificant contribution!
  10. I hope you have good news on that front - when I asked with the original date I was given, I was told by the dealer that if it was delivered after end June I would miss out on the fuel card. With luck your date will come forward a bit
  11. Cheers, yeah I hate to see any kind of blemish but it could have been a lot worse. I think the wheel bearing might be a little ko’d as it started a light hum from about 45mph, worse if turning right. So I’ve asked the garage to take a look while it’s in there for a couple of weeks (the results of software updates for diesel).
  12. Did you add the 7 seat option to the SE?
  13. We have one of these in our Superb II which just fits in behind the seats with them both up - utilising the angle. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007VDPTUA/ref=pe_3187911_189395841_TE_3p_dp_1 It's nothing special in terms of safety but it keeps him tidied away, and safe from bits moving about. Ours is a CockerDor, but pretty much Labrador size height-wise. He can sit up, just.
  14. A sensible size crate would do as well - and it would allow you to pack around it if you're going on a trip (obviously allowing some airflow!).
  15. I’d keep an eye on the number of regenerations you inadvertently interrupt (I make a note of each one). I’d also flag to the dealer (esp if approaching end of warranty) and mention the fix (depending what and where you read, it could cause more regenerations due to increasing soot output) - and ŠKODA have extended a ‘trust building measure’ to cover issues as a result of the fix. Perhaps also worth trying to get the car out on a regular longer trip to try to allow it to complete a regeneration. The manual will have specifics on how to do that to cleanse it - something like a 15min+ run at 1800-2500 rpm and in 4/5 gear or sport for dsg. Unfortunately, I now also mainly drive short distances and these issues are what has caused me to buy a new petrol Kodiaq which I am waiting for. hope that helps a bit added: see here for Someone else with particulate filter woes.
  16. Ajay24, have you had the EA189 ‘diesel fix’ applied? my 2015 Superb started regenerating more frequently after the fix (even when the engine is relatively cold) and I am still working with the local dealer to get things resolved (mainly stalling issues on restart) since the fix was applied. Theres no warning if it starts a regen like that, there are when it needs a more serious regen.
  17. That's shocking, I am pleased I didn't order from them in the end as I was very close to doing so.
  18. Fair enough, it's a shame it was made so difficult for you. On the plus side - hope you enjoy the new Xtrail
  19. You will need to be strong with them on it, but, it is a problem they created by ordering the wrong car spec. Some people have had similar issues. I have seen some examples where people have negotiated driving the car that was wrong, until the new (correct) one arrives, and where they've been provided with an equivalent size loan car - or when trading in continuing to drive it without a reduction in agreed trade-in price. Unless they are very serious about customer service, and forward thinking, I doubt they'd offer that without you being somewhat awkward. Raising to Skoda main would probably also help if you don't get far with the dealer.
  20. If they made a mistake - I’d ask for a car until a new one in the correct spec is provided, or if you can live with the dark interior, a discount.
