If you go to laser tools website and search for 5576 you will see the special tool. There is also a video of it in action Davie

There is a special to the press bearing in to the carrier, with out this tool you will not the the bearing fully into place. This was mine, had to take it to a VAG specialist the have it pressed in, this also caused damage to the ABS sensor. Probably not the answer you were hoping for?

£125 with top tint. Used a local specialist rather than the large company's.

Had mine replaced and it has the rubber seal round it. Not sure if that helps you or not?
