We bought a rear seat cover from Lidl!!,it was only £4ish,it clips around the head rests and covers the whole seat and floor,it has Velcro holes for seat belt access ,we use it when we go away with our dog in the back.

I had my cambelt +water pump and pully tentioners and oil service for a lot less than your quotes.I went to Unit 18 in Milton Keynes,bit of a trip but Alistair is very good,look him up.

I need to change my Yeti for an Octavia,need a bigger boot space.I have narrowed my choice between a 2014 1.6 Elegance or a 2012 2.0 VRS estate.What would the best buy,both similar price. Any comments please.

Due to a possible long term life changing illness,I'm seriously looking to change from our Yeti to an Octavia .Will see what the local dealer offers us in PX.

Had my brake fluid and air con done,Air con a lot cooler and the brakes feel sharper ,I had previously changed all discs and pads.

I have read it some where,when after stopping , not to keep your foot on the brake pedal,as the local heat 'after heavy braking' can cause the disc to warp.Did they check for warpage with a clock and pointer? .I also think that 'cheap' brake pads can cause problems as well.

I agree to some extent with the owners comment of the original 12 cars,they were built with racing only in mind and were raced and some were crashed,the one that was shown last night that was a complete wreck and re-built .The 'new' 6 cars were built using the same skills and techniques as the originals,well almost.I would have thought they would have used the very same materials including paint as used originally,but hey the skills are still there.I don't think the new cars will be raced but sit in a very nice garage some where and not used in anger.

When I bought my Yeti,from a listers dealer,the steering wheel was off to the left a tad,drove alright.I had some new tyres fitted to some new rims I bought and asked the fitter to do a 4 wheel alignment check,they had a Hunter set up.Afterwards the wheel was dead straight and I could feel the difference as well.

I bought mine a while back from a good dealer on Ebay, did a compatability check on their site which came up ok,I did try to measure the discs on the car but couldn't get an accurate one.The guy at the local motor factors where I bought my replacements from said there were 3 different ones on his system,I took my old rusty one down for comparison. Any way job done now,even painted the rears and fronts of discs with smooth hammerite ( not on any contact areas) might hold of the rust a bit longer.

Well what an epic day I'm having,went to replace my rear brake discs and pads,first ,them 12point internal spline bolts on the carrier were effing tight,just couldnt move them ,so put everything back together and took it to my mates garage,he struggled and got them loose,so went back home and carried on,got the old disc off and cleaned everything and put the new disc on,then went to put the carrier back on,I then found out the discs were the wrong diameter. So a new set of discs later,almost done at last.Anyone need a set of rear discs ,they are 280mm x 12 mm.

I have this issue with my 2010 yeti Elegance,I went to put the front and rear fogs on and the whole switch came out,not good when your driving on the M6 at 5 am.Should this be covered on my warranty from Lister Skoda ? if it's a known problem then I may persuade them to replace it on safety grounds.

The tyre place I use has a Hunter laser tracking system,they did the front tracking ,which was out on one side,the steering wheel was not pointing straight prior to that ,but is now,feels better on the steering as well. they also checked and altered the rears, that is when they found the broken spring.they said to bring it back after the spring has been replaced and they will re check it for free. Spring was replaced under my warranty today.When they do the tracking,the machine also checks the camber and castor ,moving the toe in/out also has an effect on the camber /castor angles,they give a full print out for reference.

Thanks,it's going in to Skoda Coventry on Monday for a new rear spring to be replaced under warranty,so I'l mention it then.

Can someone clarify what the Zinc Inclusion problem is and for how long is the Skoda warranty is valid for,I have a 2010 Yeti whith a small brown mark on the rear bottom corner of the 2 front doors.Can I claim for my doors to be repainted FOC.

Once I have had my broken spring replace ( under warranty) I'm taking it to the garage who fitted my wheels&tyres to have the 4 wheel tracking done again. Do I take it ,it's best to use standard settings for front and back tracking-: Toe in/out Camber/Castor. Or has anyone got any other recommendations.

A few weeks a go,we were just pulling off our drive way,I heard a 'boing' noise,just thought I'd dropped off the edge of the kerb.Today ,I had my new Matterhorns and new tyres and it was pointed out I had a broken NSR spring ,just the very bottom coil had fractured.Phone the local Skoda garage and they are picking the car up and a new spring fitted on Monday.

We have had 5 Staffies ,first one, The Duke died of a neck tumour,then we had a rescue dog Winston, he had only 3 legs ,lost one due to car accident and owner didn't take him to a vet -followed by an RSPCA court case.We had him for 11 great years till a heart attack took him.We then had Buster and Tilley ,they had a good life together and are laid to rest in our garden. That should have been the end,but we have ended up with our sons dog he got from a guy who did not want him,he is 4 years old and is mad as box of frogs ,but he's here till the end..Our dog ownership has been over a period of 35 years now.

Why is it so difficult to choose a good reasonable priced quiet tyre,I have read several tyre comparison sites and no 2 people seem to give the same answer,Grrrr.Any ideas welcome.

I have just bought some new Matterhorn alloys ,so I will be buying a new set of tyres,knew of a speed/load rating not heard of a noise rating,so I would hold fire till I have purchased new tyres (any reccomendations) .where do I look up tyre ratings?

Just bought a set of genuine new Matterhorns,just need to pick them up now,well pleased.
