I posted this on your other thread on this, My first point of call would be back to the dealer, they then need to do some proper investigation and not send you away with an obvious fault. Have you been back to them, it certainly shouldn't be doing this?

Is there a reason why you're not trying your local Skoda dealer, if they don't have them in stock is it not something they can order in?

A factory reset will reset the infotainment back to a clean status without any users associated, apps installed or any personalisation. It will keep the currently installed version of the firmware though, this isn't possible to rollback.

The plastic flap is missing part of it. That is designed to go on both sides of the catch to stop stuff dropping down inside. That part is a spring to fold it back up

You can adjust it using the scroll wheel on the steering wheel when it is making a navigation announcement. If you do it at any other time it will just be the radio/media that gets adjusted. The display will show a different icon when you are adjusting the navigation volume.

I just partially lowered the plastic surrounding the mirror mount enough to get my fingers inside and push it back into place. As such It was fairly straight forward and only took a couple of minutes.

The same happened to mine, I was temporarily plugging my dash cam into it untill I got the fixed wiring in place. As soon as I pushed the cable in, the socket did what yours had. I managed to lower the plastic cover and push it back into place. I haven't tried since, so don't know if it is a permanent fix.

If it is still only half way up the dipstick, then it would be a good idea to add some more. Do it in small stages to give it time to flow down. As it stands just now, starting and running it may clear it. But, personally, I would prefer it to be at the upper level.

What settings do you have for the rest of the air con other than the temperature? Are the condensation patches on the inside or the outside? You mentioned that they were two patches, but this has now extended to the condensation on the whole screen, has any water been spilt in the car, had it recently been valeted etc?

Oh, never good. valet pro enzyme odour eater is a good product and should clear it up, but may need more than one application. If you have access to a rug doctor type carpet/upholstery cleaner, then that will help tremendously as it will pull liquid out of the seats too.

According to the online manual you should have a warning message for low fluid level. It sounds like it's a fault. I'm not sure the explicit consent part is true, if you were involved in a serious accident where speed was being considered as being a major factor, then I believe the police could apply for a court order to obtain that information. But it isn't routinely shared and would also need to be demonstrated that the speed Skoda identity is actually the real one.

If you are doing it for evidence to present to the supplying dealer, then it would be very easy for them to dismiss it as it isn't their or a Skoda trained technician's view. So not going to help much. Ultimately you have a 30 day / 1000 mile exchange. If it's condition and your concerns means you won't ever bond with this car, get it changed for one you can.

Yes, that is the case. If you have adaptive cruise control set, it is possible for the car to set off and maintain distance from the car in front too. Very convenient in stop start traffic on a motorway.

I had the same issue for several months in my previous Octavia and my current Octavia running Android Auto. This is a residential location that I would pass at least 3-4 times per week. For the first 2.5 years of owning the first car, I would pass this point without issue. Then for the last 6 months of the first car and the first 3 months of the second car, the connection would drop for a couple of seconds and reconnect always at exactly the same spot. I then had cause to approach this area from a road from the opposite side to how I would normally and it did the same. Then it suddenly stopped. I put it down to someone having a rogue bit of IT kit that was affecting the wi-fi connection from the phone to the car, or someone intentionally had a signal blocker in one of the houses in the location. Fortunately, it stopped without me having to dig any deeper.

I'm surprised at the need to change for comfort. I'm on my 2nd MK4 Octavia, the first (SEL) had 17" wheels and my current (VRS) has 19", so a bigger jump than what you are suggesting. I wouldn't say that this one is less comfortable then the previous car..
