  1. Anyone found that if you open the tailgate using virtual pedal, whilst you are loading the boot your foot goes under the car then it activates closing, done it quite a few times putting shopping away and it's a PITA!!
  2. ....well up date on this, 2 weeks down the line and not a peep from Autoglass so I rang them to be told they do not have an ETA for the glass for my car! so I phoned the local Skoda dealer who said that there were 21 showing on stock in the UK. Phoned Autoglass back and explained this to be told they do not have an account with Skoda so cannot order off them! Phoned my insurance company back and they gave me the number for two other companies they deal with, phoned Auto Windscreens and it is booked in for replacement on monday....no problems and will be calibrated as well. Just goes to show don't take their lame excuses for granted...shortage of glass...only for Autoglass it would appear.
  3. Aaah! I'll have a look in the menus, thought that there must be but haven't got round to having a look.
  4. Mine doesn't seem to switch between DAB & FM automatically, if it loses the DAB signal it's just a case of long periods of silence unless you manually switch it over, is it supposed to switch automatically?
  5. I might try ringing the local Skoda dealer to see if they can get them easily or whether it's just BS on the behalf of Autoglass.
  6. Had my 2017 L& k Superb estate since April, a couple of weeks ago a stone hit the windcreen and cracked it badly, spoke to Autoglass who informed me that there is a European shortage of glass for cars and it could take months! Anyone else experienced this, been waiting two weeks for word back from them on availability but not a peep so far.
  7. I've got an L & K with DCC very floaty around town and on speed bumps in comfort, tightens the whole ride up to the level of my old Octy VRS on Koni FSD's and handling to match when set on sport, VERY noticeable difference.
  8. Multi Function Steering wheel Leather 3 spoke to fit Superb MK 3 from a 2107 L & K in brand new condition having done 5K miles, switches all present and working, no Airbag included. £100 plus postage or can collect from Stockport ( could also arrange to meet in the Northwest area)
  9. No, it's a different switch set, I checked this when I swapped my wheel, you will need to buy the correct switches as well, which is another £80 or so.
  10. I have fitted this one, took longer to find my spline drive bits than it did to fit, dead easy job, fit the paddle extensions of ebay as well for an even better upgrade!
  11. If it is rattling on idle, especially when cold it is quite likely the Dual Mass Flywheel, the springs are weakened, might last anther 66K....might go next week...bit of a lottery!
  12. sorry yes, been away so didn't get chance to mark it sold.
  13. looks like you are sorted with the extensions then! for anyone else looking, these are the ones I fitted, rock solid connection between the actual buttons and the extensions with super stick 3M tape. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Paddle-Shift-Extension-DSG-VW-Golf-5-Golf-6-MK5-MK6-GTI-R32-R-R20-Aluminum/202221323079?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  14. Just fitted mine, works a treat, fastest upgrade ever, no coding, just all the warning lights on after reconnecting the battery, quick whizz round the block, switch off and back on and all cleared! also fitted the Paddle extensions from ebay!
  15. I've started to get this as well.....pretty annoying!
  16. I've got the ALDI Workzone 250bar 3.5HP petrol pressure washer...its an absolute beast and is dead easy to start with an all metal pump.....never go back to a cheap plastic Karcher again!
  17. I bought penguin17's XLR pedal box off him, it is amazing what a difference it makes, the car actually feels like its gained a shed load more power, combined with a tuning box this will be awesome! Talking of which, has anyone come across the select a map tuning box from CRD tuning, looks an interesting read on their website, they actually state that it is not a requirement to increase boost pressure with a diesel, just to add fuel, their box appears to be a multi map 'custom tune' box rather than an add on that manipulates the signals back to the ECU and from reading the website it looks like you can customise the map yourself....makes an interesting read. http://www.crdtechnology.com/select-a-map-diesel-control-ecu/
  18. Mines got park assist and is a late 2017 L & K, I was parking on a lane at a NT property we were visiting, I had to put it up on the verge and low bushes behind activated this function....it's quite severe and was really unexpected ( I'm a sod reading the manual, it's far more entertaining finding out all the nuances of a new car as you go along...kinda guy).....just like the final warning on the lane assist!!
  19. I'll have a think about how I'd post it, trouble is it's such an odd shape to post and too long for most cheap couriers, hermes etc
  20. Brand New, never fitted or altered to fit, has been stored for some time but can't see any scratches / marks on it, would have to be collected as would be very difficult to package up and post, collection from Stockport, Manchester but could possibly meet in the northwest / Stafford area. Seem to be about £50 new now £30.
  21. Check if the Auxilliary belt AND tensioner has been changed, not a scheduled part to change like the cambelt but if it does go it can take out the cambelt which in turn can wreck the engine, also listen carefully to the engine when it is idling when cold, any knocking or clunking is likely to be the dual mass flywheel which on a DSG is a £1500+ bill......case of buyer beware!
  22. I had a 2010 Octavia VRS diesel CR170 and it was pretty much trouble free for 8 years but I never had the fix applied, put the letter from skoda straight in the bin!!
  23. Check if it has had the emissions 'Fix' applied, if it has ( which it probably has) my advice is don't touch it with a bargepole, dealers are desperate to offload them as there is a widely publicised class action lead by Slater & Gordon being persued against VAG group for the problems related to the emission lies on 2008-2015 diesels. The fix causes pretty well documented problems with the EGR valve, injectors and DPF, leaving customers with cars that are spending weeks or in some cases months in the workshop with the technicians all but scratching their heads......you asked!!!
  24. Thought they were for you to sit on when you sit on the boot edge of the estate with the variable floor! Ha! Ha!....£68, that's Skoda simply having a laugh! £50 delivered anyone
