ARBs - 1 or 2; B12 pro-kit or KWs?
The Skud replied to Mafuta's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
+1 for the FSD / Eibachs, couple them with a good rear ARB and WALK kit and you have better comfort and go kart like handling Oh yeah they do last as well, I have done 25K on this setup pin the last 12 months and its as good as the day they went on! -

Just bought some of this and it was delivered this morning, I can confirm it is the same stuff and is labelled up as being of costco origin, compared it to one vial I had left from the original GB and its identical.

Hi, can you take a close up of the skoda markings on them, that shut shut the naysayers up!! how much for postage to UK, are they to fit the Octavia hatchback? can you post photo's of them fitted to your friends car and confirm that they are a straight fit with no bulb warning errors generated? -
Bag of ICE on top of the intercooler on a hot day works a treat!!!

If ride quality is a big issue then I would recommend Eibach Springs and Koni FSD's I went this way to improve performance and standard ride comfort, worked brilliantly in both respects with the added bonus of -25mm lower which works brilliantly in the real world!

Which revision of RNS510 is 'best'?
The Skud replied to KBPhoto's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
I think that you will be stuck with the a & B revision units, the later units cause battery drain, if you search on here you'll find lots of info, also a lot on VWNAVI.com as well -
mmmm .......I think this will just HAVE to be bought!!
-
+ 1 mine did it once about 4 moths ago, never did it again, I wouldn't worry, its like anything electronic.... throws a wobbly every now and again for no apparent reason then never does it again!

I have updated the firmware on my MDI with this update, it seems to have improved the stability, no problems at all since the upgrade, I was getting 'No device' messages occasionally.

S3 Front Console Bushes fitted
The Skud replied to Ecomatt's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Yes but with the WALK you not only get the stiffer bushes but it modifies the castor angle as well which gives much improved corner exit grip from what I have experienced -
Bit of Bolero VCDS coding assistance please
The Skud replied to Wardy's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Steve, looking at the problem with regard to your suspicions that the previous owner may have had a Columbus fitted, I swapped the Bolero for the columbus and it did not need any coding, it was just a straight swap. You are more thn welcome to have a look at the coding on mine if that would be of any help to you -
S3 Front Console Bushes fitted
The Skud replied to Ecomatt's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Are these not the same bushes that are replaced by a WALK, for the price of them would it not be worth going WALK and do away with the pressing bushes in/out? -
Anyone had a re-map done by Carbonchip tuning?
The Skud replied to Funky Fab's topic in General Maintenance
I had a long conversation with one of the owners, Nick, he was extremely knowledgeable and down to earth they have a Dyno Dynamics RR as well which is always a bonus, I would trust them given their rep and his tuning knowledge. I'll most likely be using them for a DPF delete pipe when they have it ready but going back to Shark for the mapping as I already have a shark map.
