  1. I'm struggling to get paintwork sorted on a 5 month old car so you don't stand a chance with that one I'm afraid. Apparently I've rubbed the paintwork off the inside of my wheel arches myself? It couldn't possibly be due to the crap paint job in the wheel arch.
  2. Mines in next week to look at the paint on the rear arches. Last car was a focus with 80k on it and perfect paint work. This one has 6k on it and the paint just fails off when being hose piped.
  3. Sounds like the sat nav isn't picking up your gps signal. Job for the dealer I think.
  4. Interested to see what they say. Mine has the same noise from the clutch pedal when changing gear (only done 6k) so off to the dealer to take a look next week
  5. I've installed mine and taken it for a spin. First thing I've noticed is these units still seem to get very hot. If this is an improvement over the old one then the old ones must have been really really hot!
  6. a remap should only invalidate and component which is related to the part upgraded. Thing is you're playing with the ECU so you are effectively removing your warranty on the ECU plus all the drive train components (gearbox, clutch, Engine, Brakes) Id wait 12 months, simply because I also have a blackline and am having the master cylinder replaced under warranty already. If id have had the ECU mapped then there is always the chance that the warranty on this part may have been removed? I still intend on having mine done, but it will be a couple of years down the line.
  7. Mines booked in for clutch master cylinder replacing and to have a look at the paint peeling off the rear wheel arch
  8. probably from the skoda website The Octavia vRS Blackline is also available as part of the fantastic no VAT campaign meaning that you can get your hands on one for just £17,834 OTR?^. That's not all. You can also get a £500 contributuion towards your deposit and three years of free servicing† too by taking advantage of another great value offer from ŠKODA
  9. Starts to die off after 3500 I've found when on the motorway in 4th. Not sure when the torque peaks as I've not seen a graph for it.
  10. your options dont give you extra im afraid, they just make it easier to sell on 12 months old, 12K Miles Manual (Cap ID 57243) 14325 DSG (Cap ID 57244) 14875 Might take a hit when the new VRS is released though
  11. Mileage? I can check residuals at work tomorrow for you
  12. I believe you can get fined (and points?) for having an empty washer fluid bottle. Someone must think its important then?
  13. Half a litre doesn't sound like a lot of oil to add if the low oil pressure light was on. I'd have thought you'd need at least a litre of the stuff if not more.
  14. This isnt specific to Skodas. My wifes fiesta (and my old focus) made a really loud humming noise when charging the phone whilst listening to music.,
  15. 10000 miles to a set of front tyres! Jesus that's worrying!!
  16. Just had one of these fitted to my 2012 vrs. Total cost was 475 which included the westfalia detachable towbar, full aftermarket loom kit and all the coding for the reversing sensors, bolero and stability control. Not cheap but was better than me hacking the car to pieces and doing it myself.
  17. Glad I had mine on today. Sat at a set of traffic lights in Morley today with an 18 wheeler in front of me. Lights turn to green, lorry sets off then starts sliding backwards towards me. Yikes!! Had to go around him borrowing a bit if the other lane. No drama at all.
  18. Yep I had to turn the car off and then turn it back on again To reset.
  19. I believe the some parts of the yorkshire forces did fit winter tyres to their scouts a couple of years back. I heard it second hand so couldnt be certain.
