MFSW - FL, Non-DSG.....Again
tony2311 replied to Stoofa's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I saw ben a few weeks ago regarding fitting a mfsw with paddle on a 2011 octavia and he hasnt got back to me yet. As he is having problem sorting out which control i need for my car -
it helps if you base it on the right car instead of found a a old first chinese design car then compare it with a BMW 7, how much more bias can you be? compare the roewe 550 video to the 2005 octavia is the Chinese car really bad? is the interior really cheap because you read about it?

BCA are not good. by the time they sell your car with no reserve(over 5 years old) take out the entrance fees. sellers fees you will be left with £2000 at most. you got to remember most buyer at bca are traders and know it is a private enter with no reserve and will bid very little for it. with the fault you listed it is not that bad of a car if you spend a few £ on it. its a 1.8 petrol most minicab drivers wouldnt touch it -
So it is ok for vauxhall and Ford. What about the nissan micra when it was first built here? big advert built in britain when all they did was screw a few bits on. So it was ok for a few brits to stick chavy head light & silly badge(England flag, chequer flag) on a 12 year old car HONDA/BMW design car. All Phoenix group did was drain the company dry then sell it for peanuts and make British tax payers lose many millions. do your research Phoenix milk away millions and rob everyone who had dealings with the company
-
Both of you havnt sat in the car but have negative views of the interior already? badge snob? i am sure the dealer will give a big discount as stocks are not moving. i am sure BMW Mercedes Driver do the same £20k for a skoda when you can can have c class or BMW diesel for same price
-
it used to be £20 + vat for 4 litres now it is £25 + vat for 5 litres. also castrol edge around the same price, both excellant oil ( A lot cheper then opies oil )

you can get right hand drive areo top twin turbo but no manual there is a few for sale in the forum i posted. its a lot cheaper now then when i brough mine. just remember jap import will cost a bit more to insure
-
Costco is doing 20% off if you buy 4 tyres. they only sell michelin but with 20% off the price is very competative. With so many people buying winter tyres etc i thought you might like to know. Yes it cost £24 for a years member to get in but they Mobil 1 0-40w 5ltr or Shell helix 4ltr for under £30, There are loads of stuff that is good value for money
-
All Areotop are auto but a few people has convert into manual, best place to ask question is http://www.mkivsupra.net/ they know everything about the supra and have a few well look after cars for sale. i used to own one but MPG is pretty bad with TT and auto box

surely if tyre thread is from 8mm (new) to 1.6 legal minimum the rolling radius is different, how can the car odometer be 100% accurate

Octavia FL Steering Wheel on to Pre-FL?
tony2311 replied to oktc's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
i will be interested aswell (ben have you forgot about me?) will a flat bottom scirocco wheel work with paddles? -
How accurate is the speedo? its all good you work out MPG from briming the bank and average over so many thousands of miles. If the speedo (normally fast upto 10%) then the mileage covered its wrong. I had a few cars in my time and all of then were fast ie. speedo saids 70mph, Gps will said 64-5mph so the overall mileage cover is wrong by upto 10%

How do we tell if it was hard wire or RNS manager? As i got a 2011 jan one from ebay and the code was written on a sticker on the machine?
-
just found out if the code was from factory or if it has been mod, if it been mod you might not be able to update the firmware
-
wouldnt he benefit to go for a narrower tyre?
-
How is it pushing the premium up? the woman hit his car, he has her registration, a witress just say they seen it then everything will be sorted. So in your world, he should just cry and repair his car out of his own pocket?
-
the facia is different and cost around £39 for sliver one, To me it is better then having wires and a tomtom stuck to screen, too lazy to remove very time i use it, On top of sat nav you have a DVD player and 20gbish hard drive to store your music/video

just get a friend to act as witness and claim though insurance, dont let them get away with it
