I suspect once prologue is released, the full game will be delayed until autumn of 2008. But I really, really hope they don't - this is the game I've been waiting for since I bought the PS3.

Glad to hear your having a good time. Canada is a lovely place, the people are so friendly, I visited Toronto last year and will definately be going back next year really enjoyed it.

DEFINATELY report it, I would be pushing for it to be put down as well. Don't get me wrong I love dogs, but I could not live with myself if I later heard the dog had attacked a child or elderly person less able to fend for themselves. It's a horrible situation, but the chances of it happening again, however small mean that you've got to take some form of action. Hope you feel better soon.

That's odd -- when I collected my Race blue vRS from Mitchells - it had DEFINATELY been polished - I know, I had to spend a couple of hours getting the residue from aound the badges and various other areas. That said it is perfectly normal for a new car to be "Polished" by that I mean application by hand of products usually similar to AG SRP - albeit trade versions, done purely to ensure all traces of techy finger prints and the like are gone -- every dealership I've worked in for the last twenty years has done this. When they said your car wasnt polished - I think they mean by any machine polisher or using any compounds to remove marks.

EGP is a good product but as Tom said does not last anywhere near as long as collintes or provide as good beading, depends on what you want really. Having used both I would use Colinites

Yup the list look's pretty good, although you could probably do without the AGSRP, but this will help mask some marks as it does have fillers in. The collinites is great stuff, last's ages and gives wonderfull beading - but if you like waxing your car it can be annoying -- it lasts far too long

I think if North Wales took a leave out of Cambs book it would be a much better situation, sounds like a much fairer setup

North Wales is the pits when it comes to camera's. And whilst I would not condone damaging these camera's you do sometimes feel they are a cash cow.

That's absolutely brilliant news!, but to be honest I never though the outcome would be any different. Sorry to keep banging the Mtchells drum, but people are quick enough to moan when things go wrong, and its not very often that people get praise where its due. Really looking forward to seeing the finished article.

Marwood, I've been reading this thread because I've both previously owned a Black Magic Octavia(albeit a mk1) and have been a customer of Mitchells. Any time I needed to approach them, I found Mitchells to be nothing less than totally professional in there dealings with me. As some people on here know, I've been in the motor trade for twenty years - straight from school - all of it within the VAG group. I have seen problems like yours arrise from time to time -- more so in the last few years since the change to water based paints and the practise of the cars arriving from the factoy "Wrapped" in plastic. The paintwork of new cars is inspected prior to leaving the factory - and would be refinished by hand to remove any blemish's -- or even partial or full respray if the quality was poor enough. The fact that the refinishing is done by hand using rotory polishing machines is probably where your vehicles damaged was done -- either by an operator who was not very skilled at the job, or more likely using equiptment that should really have been replaced. The wrapping that the cars come in can itself inflict marring in the paint when removed - especially if its been on the car a while -- it can be very difficult to remove and wont come away easily - quite often coming away from the paintwork in peices or releasing in sections like a roll of cellotape does, if removal is not done carefully it can leave some nasty marks -- but nothing that wont polish by hand -- no need for power tools. I think your next course of action would be to speak direct with MARK Mitchell (not Mike!!) explain your situation, and ask if he will cover the cost for Ian @ finerdetails to deal with the paintwork -- I've seen loads of jobs that he's posted over on detailingworld and he has plenty of experience with the VAG Black Magic paint. Once he's dealt with it the paintwork will be in a much better condition - BUT I think you need to accept that VAG water based paints do mark quite easily - not just Black Magic but plenty of others -- Race blue for one. That said with carefull protection of the paint using the products that you have bought - you should be able to keep this to a minimum. Then hopefully you can begin to again enjoy the car. As far as rejection, indeed the betterment clause does come along - so there would be a cost to yourself. Finally from a motor trade point of view -- the way that you have gone about this will without doubt given you a better response than screaming and shouting in the showroom. Every dealer would like to have 100% happy customers -- unfortunately this can't always be the case. Most of all I hope you manage to get an outcome that suits you -- wether that be paintwork sorted or refund or compensation MAKE SURE ITS WHAT YOU WANT & NOT WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE THINKS.

A mate of mine has just bought an ex-police omega to use as an escort vehicle for his transport company(He moves large boats / caravans) I had to take a double check when I first saw it - at first glance it looks just like a traffic car -- battenburg signage roof bars and bumper and grille mounted strobes -- it's only when they switched on you see they are amber/white strobes. But one thing I did notice was that he has alternately flashing headlights - I though that would be a definate NO NO -- got to admit tho -- looks bloody fabulous.

I think you'd stuggle to find a 170 bottom end. Cant your existing block be re-bored and new pistons ?? Or maybe get a 2.0 litre 140 bottom end ??

I've had my iPod for the best part of two years -- and I'm very happy with it. The sound quality is great - esp if using other headphones. I've also got the iPod HiFi dock - absolutely fantastic. I've bought quite a few albums from the iTunes store and never had any issue, I also find the iTunes software to be very easy to use and setup, would be iPod all the way for me. In fact I will probably by one of the newer ones later in the year.

Tis the trend, I was driving down the motorway following an identical car to mine and we were overtaken by an 07 Astra - OMG it looked like it was twice the size :eek:
