  1. Oops checked , says the light comes on on all sockets, IF there is power then it should be OK, they supply plenty of amps so if the power IS on there should be no problem with charging a crapple or anything else, Easy check is plug the lighter in but its missing from a lot of cars now.
  2. All a waste of time messing with chargers and cables until you know that you have power in the sockets . Try plug in something else to see if it works .
  3. Best to check for power with a test light/meter/other charger. before trying anything else.
  4. Stupid as question but does the lighter work ?
  5. As said above throttle valve is a good place to start, is the car early 2010?
  6. Exactly the same here, its a feature that i like but I fear it will disappear in the next version on cost grounds.
  7. Mine's shortly going to be the other way round, KPH on the main dial and MPH in digital, at the moment its KPH on both but those foreign speedlimits are in MPH
  8. It should connect and allow you use a basic blutooth connection, have you tried it with a different phone?
  9. IIRC the Octavia had AFS1 and the Superb AFS 2, the Octavia has bending and leveling and AFS 2 adds range adjustment and rain sensor so they are two different units. The Octavia system works on either "on" or "auto" and the Superb only on "auto".
  10. Air con systems can lose gas but the system will shut down if pressure is low . It's an easy check which is often overcharged for and very often not correctly carried out .
  11. My manual says every 2 years for brake fluid(first change after 2 years) and every 180,000km(no time limit) for cam belt on the 170. Don't worry about the aircon, if it works it works. Mr Ree, I have seen a few 4 year old belts from PD engines and they were perfect.
  12. Yes, but have you dipped the mirror to where you want it to go and then saved the setting?
  13. Yes, that would be a good place to start but surely the dealer ran the calibration procedure?
  14. I would not worry too much as fixes become available DSG's will become more reliable. Shame they switched to dry clutches as they are going to be a problem with time. Dry clutches are used to reduce the drag from oil lubed packs but dry will never last as long as wet.
  15. That's dealer speak for please go away , follow it up with the dealer and Skoda immediately by phone and email outlining the problems you are having. They are well of what's wrong and how to fix it. An oil change is never going to sort an ongoing vibration.
  16. I did a 300km run recently so had time to study this. My speedo needle does move a little but the cruise held speed exactly on the set speed according to the digital readout. I'll must check it again using GPS on the next long run.
  17. My detachable one is permanently attached theses days and does not interfere with the parking sensors. Some day I'm going to upgrade the wiring but have not got around to it yet.
  18. 250? Were they having a laugh ? Have you tried the motor factors ? Halfrauds would also be worth a try if you have a trade card.
  19. I know of several cars where dealers supplied 17 or 16 inch wheels on new cars, its just easier(and cheaper) for them to say no. As said above the standard sizes are listed on the inside of the fuel filler flap.
  20. Good to see you here Roto, my trusty 1.9 moved on to a new owner a few months back, hopefully the ali housing for the CR pump will last on the mk2 but at least we are starting to see some mileage ones appear.
