  1. Hi, I have the Columbus 3T0 035 680A fitted to my Octavia 2010 L&K software version 2684 according to the label attached to the unit. The unit itself is reporting part number 3T0 035 680G software version 5238. Can someone tell me what the last software version was for this unit. I would like to update it if possible. Thanks, Kev.
  2. If anyone is able to answer this please, I have exactly the same problem as the OP. Was thinking of doing an AC recharge as the AC is not as cold as it once was. I have licenced copy of VCDS with HEX-V2 if a scan would help. Would need instructions as not used VCDS other than to register the supplied cable. Thanks. Kev. Edit: Minor typo.
  3. Just to update. Fitted the replacement module 3C8 035 730E and the new phone is able to connect.
  4. £145 or £245? Typo. Yes £245.00. I didn't know what the 4 x 4 was. Since found out and do not need it. I need to clear the air-bag warning light, there is nothing wrong with the air-bag, I tripped it at the weekend dealing with the instrument cluster. None of the local VCDS members seem to have been around to contact. One of them the only post ever was a request to be added to the list in 2018 (I think). I don't want to be messing about. A local garage wants £60.00 to confirm a fault. Another three faults and I have paid for VCDS. Ten years ago the GPS dongle failed. I took the roof aerial off to fit it but didn't refit it correctly, so this has allowed water ingress in in increasing amounts. This has caused the instrument cluster LED's to fail due to the high moisture content inside the car. The car in 14 years has only done 42K. There is not a lot wrong with it overall. Roof aerial, instrument cluster, brake discs. Other than that an annual service. The last time I worked on a car it was a Ford Cortina either a MK IV or MK V - my mate had a MK IV and I had a MK V. I know from experience I can sort these issues. As I have already spent money ordering parts and lots of tools, ordering VCDS seems like a good idea. I am actually looking forward to getting my hands dirty again. Revisiting my youth. I just wondered if putting my name forward on the map was a viable idea. Thanks for the replies.
  5. @Gizmo Are all the names on VCDS owners ones with unlimited VIN's? The reason I ask is because tonight I have just ordered the 3 VIN unit from GENDAN Automotive Products. https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCV23B.html It is the £145.00 option I ordered. I understand it can do some "stuff" on an unlimited number of vehicles. Is the "stuff" it can do of use to any other forum members? Thanks.
  6. There is no bluetooth connection - "Incompatible Device". Thanks for the reply anyway. Good to know for future reference.
  7. The forum thread I read is this one. The module I have is only rSAP. HFP requires a "newer" module. I have a suffice B but at a minimum would need a suffix "D" for HFP. It won't have all the functionality rSAP had but at the moment I have nothing. To be honest I only need to recieve calls. Text messaging was useless. Texts would be recieved by the car but if you missed them they never appeared in the phone. When the car was new I had lots of people complained that I had not responded to only find out some time later there were dozens of texts in the maxidot display under unread.
  8. There is no such option. rSAP only from what I can find out. edit. I still need the upgraded bluetooth module just to do that.
  9. Just to clarify, fitted is a 5N0 335 730 B with a B. Was asking about 5N0 335 730 E with an E on the end. However, having found some further posts on the forum have gone for a "2015 Skoda Superb mk2 Bluetooth Control Module ECU 3C8 035 730E". £75.99 delivered. I can't believe having now read around that the bluetooth unit fitted to my car became obsolete within a year of purchase. I paid for the optional extra phone calling steering wheel, Columbus etc. Because I had stayed with the same model of phone I never found out until now. B******S. Still don't know about MFA or DIS.
  10. Hi, I need to upgrade the bluetooth module in my car from the 5N0 335 730 B that is fitted. EE have switched off the 3G network so my ancient Samsung Note 4 became obsolete. I have since upgraded to a Samsung Note 10 but cannot connect to my car as it seems rSAP has also become obsolete in the phone. Reading the forum I can see that upgrading the bluetooth module under the drivers seat would fix the problem. Would a 3C8 035 730 B module work. I don't understand some of the terminology. ONLY FOR CARS WITH WHITE OR MULTICOLOR MFA+ / DIS - What does MFA+ mean? What does DIS mean? NOT for cars with red MFA / DIS - What is a red, White or a multicolour one. How would I know.
  11. I had the same problem up until this weekend. With me it was water ingress from the roof aerial. Went to Screwfix and bought some black silicone sealant and sealed the aerial mounting. Used a carpet cleaner to suck out the water and it's stayed dry since. Heavy rain last night so I assume all good.
  12. Many, many thanks. Your a star. ✴️
  13. I would do but I'dont have any tools yet. Need to buy a jack, axel stands, hammer etc. I have found the rear discs at Autodoc - SKF branded. VKBD 90041 S2. I was hoping to identify the front before ordering everything I need. Make a list and go from there. @Breezy_Pete Missed the bit about the VIN. TMBAK61Z4A2082223. Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
  14. Both. They have never been replaced since new and are now rusted and pitted. I bought the car new. I had an MOT advisory so want to sort out all these problems. 1KS. I'll see what I can find.
  15. This is the vehicle data from the service record. Don't know if it will help. Thanks.
  16. I have a 2010 Octavia L&M 1.8TSI and I need to replace the disc brakes and pads, the disks are 14 years old. I want to order the same size as existing but I am having trouble identifying the correct size as different size discs come up depending where I search. The pr no. is 1Z3 (I think). Could a forum member please advise what size I should be looking for, please.
