Tyres annoyance....
Yeah, I hear you, but in my experience with new tyres, unfortunately and annoyingly, in a few ‘000’s miles they’ll be just a noisy internally as the tyres they’ve replaced.

Tyres annoyance....
Yeah, but what you need to understand I often talk utter bollo*ks and ****e! Where the heck I got that from is beyond me, but on this occasionI do have an excuse; I’m blaming the C19 booster and flu jabs I had yesterday PM and I feel I cr@p… 😂

Doesn’t the larger profile increase the outside diameter?
-
Tyres annoyance....
PS - Would the increase in profile make any significant difference to the indicated speed?

Tyres annoyance....
Unfortunately, 235/35/19s are standard on 272/280’s. I think I might well swap to 245/40’s when the P7’s finally need to be replaced. They’re at 37k and still with 3mm all round, so they’re on their last legs.

Power / memory seats retrofit?
I’d also thought about retrofitting this; that’ll be another one consigned to the bin… 😕

Tall drivers in the Superb
My 6’5” son has no problem driving our 280 either; seat all the way back and all the way down, but he does raise the front squab.

At wit's end with a coolant issue
Can anyone help Ian with the name of a decent indy in the Liverpool area???

Laurin&Klement Superb
What I meant to also say was, they are a bloody rare car! As an example, there have been 2,660 Bentley Bentayga V8s🤮 registered during the same time the 280/272 have been available.

Laurin&Klement Superb
YTD, 1,592 280/272’s have been registered in the U.K. from launch, with 660 of those being L&Ks. What skews the numbers are the inconsistencies in the way the DVLA have identified the model types. So you have…. SUPERB L & K TSI 4X4 S-A and SUPERB LAURIN &KLEM TSI 4X4 SA; SUPERB SE L EXCTIVE TSI 4X4 SA and SUPERB SE L EXEC TSI 4X4 SA and SUPERB SPORTLINE + TSI 4X4 S-A and SUPERB SPORTLINE TSI 4X4 S-A. And having said that, a number of these could’ve been given the completely wrong designation too, with one of the Cossies I had being registered as a Sierra 2.0 GLX !

Body control module?
And also why when one switch off “stop/start”, it no longer chucks-up the warning?

Fuel flap is stuck and won't open
I think it gets clogged with water and gunge going down the gap between the tube and plunger. Once you get it open, I’d shove a load of silicone lub down the plunger. If it toast it won’t do any harm and if not it might free it up.

Laurin&Klement Superb
Mine were removed the same day we got the car too - really cheap and nasty. All the boot badges came off too.

Body control module?
Do you know why these LED’s cause the warning to initiate, AS?

Where are you located, Ian? I ask as helps other members who are local to you, who can potentially recommend an indie with whom they’ve had a good experience.

Superb owners 2016 -> some thoughts please
Bought our one owner 2016 280 in March ‘20, with 19k miles and it’s now on 37k. I knew the original owner as they were a member here. You’re correct that prices have gone completely insane; last week I was offered £2k more for the car than we’d paid for it. Yep, it is thirsty around town - I get around 23-24 mpg, but it’s a ridiculously short drive to/from work, including a couple of not insubstantial hills in there too. The best I’ve got is low 40’s on some long trips which I’m delighted with, given this is a 335bhp car and mile munching is what this car is amazing at doing. In terms of reliability, other than a failed steering wheel thumb wheel replaced under warranty (which I now understand can actually be dismantled and cleaned 🙄) and the bonnet release which the dealer broke when I was waiting to have the thumb wheel replaced…. and I then had to pay to be fixed as apparently that wasn’t covered by warranty (seriously…. and they wonder why so many customers decide to dump them in favour of specialists) and finally a failed rear wheel sensor, the car has been completely reliable. It is expensive to run; a full service and all fluid and filter change was nearly a grand and tyres, which I’ll need soon, will be similar I’m guessing. Absolutely love the car; its superbly comfortable, fantastically well spec’d and lovely to look at. Oh and it is very, VERY fast!

OK, so I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve completely forgotten how to adjust the lighting level of the instrument cluster 🙈; all reminders most welcome. 😂

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Seriously? I have a Racechip GTS Black on our 2016 280 and the difference from the drivers seat is massive. It’s set to Sport+2. Mind you, I also have a Racechip XLR Pedalbox too, which completely eliminates the throttle lag and the dramatically improves response. Perhaps you should try the BMS Pedal Tuner?

AS? I said it the first time round…. You’re nuts! 😂

Middle Seat Width
I would think it’s around the same distance. One question; why would you use the middle seat and not the ISOFIX fittings on the two main seats for the booster?
