L&K has more goodies if, of course, they’re important to you. If they are and you can afford the difference, I’d go for the L&K, or you’ll keep wondering why you didn’t. It was a easy for me as I wanted heated seats all round, as the family had enjoyed those on the MKI. I’ve just searched and I can’t find any reference to polarised windows being fitted to Skoda vehicles. I’ve just checked mine and there’s no sign of Polarised jaggies when looking through any of the windows and there’s no issue with the polarising filter on the rear dashcam either. Do you think it might be something to do with the auto-dimming mirror/s?

Yep, the oil supplier recommended simply depends on the deal which is done corporately by VW/Skoda. It was Shell on the 2006 and 2011 Superbs we owned. That deal extends to the bulk oil purchased by the authorised dealers so they get an advantageous purchase price and I'd presume upon which VW then get an annual sales rebate.

God I hope not. They’re aren’t many items I can think of which do precisely the opposite of their design brief and function but this excels in both areas as they’re bloody noisy and useless at providing draft-free ventilation. I put them on and off they came 5 days later.

Try resetting the windows. Ignition on and roll all the windows down with the four switches on the drivers armrest. Wait 5 seconds. Then wind them all up at once whilst continuing to hold the switches up. When they reach the fully closed position do not let go of the switches - hold them in the up position for at least 10:seconds. Re test your passenger window and hopefully this will have cured the memory issue.

In my case it’s three years. And shove it and the spare in a faraday pouch and there’s no security issue at all..

This is nothing to do with the DSG box, it’s the drive-by-wire throttle pedal. Get a pedal box and it disappears, even in bypass mode. Given the millions of vehicles with DSG boxes globally, the numbers of failures are minuscule, albeit it’s bloody annoying if it happens to you. Unless you’re going to buy a RX Lexus or above, you’re buying a badge engineered Toyota and yes, perhaps you will find them marginally quieter than the Superb diesel, but that won’t be a surprise given they do not make s diesel. You’ll be buying the 10 year warranty over that 10 year service period, via in an uplift in the service costs and it’ll be underwritten by an insurer, but it’ll be transparent to the owner. I had the misfortune to have a CT200h for a while. An underpowered, poorly built car and noisy with it.

Three KESSY keys? Weird. My 2016 came with two and they both work fine. I tried the manual door opening when I first got the car and the drivers door opened very easily so perhaps they are not the correct key blades for the car.
