  1. Had a full 40k service Including the pollen and air filters, engine flush and oil change, DSG (full fluid removal and filter replaced), Haldex, differential and brake fluid changed, all done at Wheelbase in Hersham.
  2. Hilarious. I had the same conversation with the “Service Advisor” at Lookers, Guildford. When I asked what the cost was of a major service, she quoted xxx plus £550 for a cambelt change as the car would be 6 years old. When I said it had chain not a belt, she argued I was wrong and I had no idea what I was talking about and called me a w&*#er under he breath as she walked away. Needless to say, they haven’t had my business since.
  3. ^^^^ Yep. VCDS or and OBD scanner will return the fault/s and it’d be nice to know what the problem/s are, but you’ll need a specialist to sort it.
  4. It’s not necessarily the size of the item, but the shape. A sharp edge impacting the screen at exactly the right angle can crack through the entire outer screen glass which, because it’s under the most stress (40% of the cars structural integrity is provided by the glass) and through the glass flexing, this can cause a fracture to start to creep across the screen.
  5. Hardly mate, but thank you. Pleased they’ve arrive safe and sound. Always a gamble with Parcel Force.
  6. The seat fans reduce their speed when stationary. They then restart, almost with an over-boost initially when one pulls away and they then settle to their normal set speed. Ultimately, they’re pretty ineffective, unlike the cooled seats on my sons CLK500, which have ducted air to the ventilated seats.
  7. We have ventilated seats and they’re not connected to the AC, but blow ambient air through the cushion and seat back, so I doubt the AC problem is connected with this. Might be worth resetting the AC.
  8. Weird how these small parts can fail; the right-hand scroll wheel on the SW failed on the first day I had it on the 22nd March 2020, the day before lockdown and had to wait til late May to get it fixed under warranty.
  9. First borns FiL has just had a AM DB11 V8 roadster delivered. Black everything; looks like a batmobile!
  10. And the ignition is on? Sorry to ask, but it’s sometimes the daftest things which are overlooked.
  11. Oh g’won den! G’won, g’won, g’won, g’won, g’won!
  12. When you put the seat all the way forward/back and it stopped, did you then push the switch forward/back again? I ask as it will travel a little more in both directions? If not, try this and then try setting the memory. Big tank whooshing here too. Whooshing is normal.
  13. You might get fed-up with the build quality!
  14. Be even worse if it was, mate!
  15. Yes, it does use those in the main units, so footwells, boot, glove box, are the same units as the MKII. However, the roof ones are LED’s on our MKIII L&K - don’t know if that’s the case on all MKIII specs. I replaced the boot ones with these; probably 3x brighter than the OE’s.
  16. Unfortunately, the closest Costco is a 20 mile round trip, thus eliminating any potential saving.
  17. I’m now around 5k Nick, but even so, that’s still nearly £2,000 @ avg 25mpg.
  18. 1/2 (34l) tank of Momentum99 at Tesco New Malden one month ago today = £1.75pl. 1/2 (36l) tank Momentum99 at Tesco New Malden today = £1.97pl. It’s absolutely feckin ridiculous. Wish I still had my 1962 NSU Quickly…🙄
  19. Hate it when that happens… Hate it when that happens… 😂
  20. 1,220 280/272’s sold from launch to date in the U.K. 614 of those are L&Ks.
  21. They look much better than the OE ****e stickers which I removed very quickly.
  22. Well, it won’t be exactly like a fully-loaded car, because by adding these, there will be always be higher compression on the top of the bearing.
  23. Don’t spacers put additional strain on wheel bearings?
