AC front seats work great, until something weird happens
We have ventilated seats and they’re not connected to the AC, but blow ambient air through the cushion and seat back, so I doubt the AC problem is connected with this. Might be worth resetting the AC.

Problems already
Weird how these small parts can fail; the right-hand scroll wheel on the SW failed on the first day I had it on the 22nd March 2020, the day before lockdown and had to wait til late May to get it fixed under warranty.

First borns FiL has just had a AM DB11 V8 roadster delivered. Black everything; looks like a batmobile!

And the ignition is on? Sorry to ask, but it’s sometimes the daftest things which are overlooked.

Problems already
When you put the seat all the way forward/back and it stopped, did you then push the switch forward/back again? I ask as it will travel a little more in both directions? If not, try this and then try setting the memory. Big tank whooshing here too. Whooshing is normal.

Interior LED light upgrade - how to remove the bulbs?
Yes, it does use those in the main units, so footwells, boot, glove box, are the same units as the MKII. However, the roof ones are LED’s on our MKIII L&K - don’t know if that’s the case on all MKIII specs. I replaced the boot ones with these; probably 3x brighter than the OE’s.

Unfortunately, the closest Costco is a 20 mile round trip, thus eliminating any potential saving.

I’m now around 5k Nick, but even so, that’s still nearly £2,000 @ avg 25mpg.

1/2 (34l) tank of Momentum99 at Tesco New Malden one month ago today = £1.75pl. 1/2 (36l) tank Momentum99 at Tesco New Malden today = £1.97pl. It’s absolutely feckin ridiculous. Wish I still had my 1962 NSU Quickly…🙄

The 280PS Thread
1,220 280/272’s sold from launch to date in the U.K. 614 of those are L&Ks.

Continuation. The legacy file part 2
They look much better than the OE ****e stickers which I removed very quickly.

Which Spacers for my 280
Well, it won’t be exactly like a fully-loaded car, because by adding these, there will be always be higher compression on the top of the bearing.

Which Spacers for my 280
Don’t spacers put additional strain on wheel bearings?

Weird warning
Check the vehicle status in the same central display and see if anything is logged.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Nice wheels; darn sight easier than cleaning the Trinitys on ours with their small gaps.

Delivery Delays
Yet another reason why I think the traditional dealership days are numbered. They add no real value, are costly to support and most provide dreadful customer service and expensive vehicle servicing and repair costs. So one can understand why Avril Palmer-Baunack’s Constellation group (webuyanycar, BCA and Cinch) have bought the Marshall Motor Group. I suspect the direct-to-customer web-based route will become more prevalent and the locations will just be there for servicing.

SportLine 2.0 TSI DSG terrible fuel soncumption (20mpg)
Yeah, and it was around that speed Ap - so 57/60mph - on the MKI PD140 Elegance and the MKII CR170 Elegance when I’d get IRO 70mpg with both. That speed was fine at 05.00 and 16.30 when I used to do a 110 mile round trip from Home to Reading and back everyday. Wouldn’t want to do those speeds on a long leisure trip though cos at 75-80 returning a genuine 35mpg is ok with me.

SportLine 2.0 TSI DSG terrible fuel soncumption (20mpg)
^^^ Exactly the same here. I Didn’t buy a car with 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine with 276 bhp, a DSG box and 4WD for great fuel consumption. When I’m working, it’s four 2.5 mile trips 5 days a week and I get 21-23mpg. On a 1,400 mile round trip to Ireland, I averaged 34.6. On the motorways at 75-80 I was getting average 38. I used to get similar mpg on our 1985 2.0 Fiat Supermirafiori with 111bhp so there you go.
