Journey Info Screen
Alas no, not on our 2016 280 unfortunately. Be good to know if it can be enabled on pre ‘17 units.

Journey Info Screen
There was a post a few weeks ago in which member @Bigeater showed a pic of his info screen giving full journey information as per the pic below and thanks to Bigeater for this. My 280 does not have this available; well I’ve been through the manual and can’t see it mentioned, so was this only available on post 2016 vehicles or is something with can be enabled?

The 280PS Thread
Does anyone know if this journey information is only available on post 2016 SIII or can it be enabled on all SIII models?

Maybe in the market for a 4x4 estate – but are there any pitfalls?
Errr, no. I’ve been assured by a certain QW that flapped cars are now achieving £750-1000 over non-flapped cars… 😁

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Ive used the TW polish and wax which is amazing. What’s the performance of the Ceramic & Graphene Paste Wax like?

The 280PS Thread
I like that journey info! Is it only available on 2017> vehicles or something you can enable on all MKIIIs?

Interesting. How did you get the tick on the Columbus?

Manoeuvre braking, Park Assist, Front Assist all disabled
Our 2016 280 did exactly this last year and it was a failed rear wheel speed sensor.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Weird. Just to double-check, I’ve just switched it out of circuit and went for a drive and the initial depression lag where nothing happens has definitely gone in all settings. It was bloody awful to drive it again stock! 😂

What have you done to your Superb III today?
You haven’t noticed the initial throttle lag has gone in all settling, where nowt happens when depressing the pedal for the first CM or so? This has completely disappeared on our 280, even on “E” (which makes it accelerate like a Morris 1300 automatic!). Maybe it’s a different DBW unit to those in the 1.4/5 units?

DCC Slider adjustment option mod
I think all owners of DCC equipped Superb 3's would love this mod!

On a return trip home from Cairnryan a couple of weeks ago, I got an average of 41.09mpg. Delighted with that.

Storage Compartment - Open Warning
Sorry for the late reply - it's the diagram stating the tailgate is open.

Storage Compartment - Open Warning
Ahh right. Yep, you're right; they're the culprits! I haven't permanently removed them as they're so much better than the original ones, but I discovered if I switch off Stop/Start, the issue goes away; how odd is that??

Storage Compartment - Open Warning
Cheers AS. I replaced the incandescent boot bulbs with early LED cobs when I got the car; they failed about four months ago and I replaced those with full sealed LED units; no warnings any very bright. I’ve never touched any of the tailgate lights. No, turning on the drivers interior lights doesn’t repeat the warning. Oddly this only happens when the car is moving. PS - I replaced the indicators about a year or so ago with LED’s, but this phenomenon has only just begun.

Storage Compartment - Open Warning
The car image came up and the tailgate open warning was flashing. Yeah, that’s what I thought. I’ll drop the tray, have a look and give the fuses a shove and see if that fixes it.

Storage Compartment - Open Warning
During a drive today, my missus opened the storage compartment (glove box) to get a drink and immediately there was a bleeping and warning on the dash. I’ve looked in the handbook and there’s no mention of this safety feature; anyone else noticed this? Forgive me if this has been mentioned before here but AFAICS, I can’t search the S3 forum alone on my phone.

Superb facelift conversion
Ahhhh, thanks, AS. So that’s for Lane Assist? I must admit, I’d love LED headlights, however I suspect a Xenon bulb upgrade would be a big help.

load rating on tyres
235/40/19W P7’s on ours. May go for 245 when I change them, probably for P7’s again, given they have 3.5mm left and have covered more than 36k.

DIY service after warranty
With a 120 mile round trip in prospect, it depends on the service cost differential between the dealer and indy I suppose. Personally, now the warranty is out on the 280, I’d never goto a main dealer again, as I’ve never had good service from them since I had our MKI.

Superb facelift conversion
Interesting. What additional features come with these new modules and wheel then? Yup, me too.

Superb facelift conversion
Wow - that’s some work there! So, where did you get the work undertaken? You had the virtual cockpit and steering wheel fitted too? C’mon then… how much? 😳
