Thanks for your reply, it sounds really positive. I do not know which ABS controller is fitted to my car [in fact I wouldn't know how to find out] but I am picking up some friends from B'ham airport around lunchtime on Monday, so I could meet you anytime from mid/late afternoon onwards. If this is ok with you, let me know, I would be happy to cover your expenses for this. Terry -

I live in Kingswinford DY6 9QW, but I am quite happy to travel to you, if you think that you can help. I have no idea what has to happen to either access the system or make any changes. Is this something you have done before and would you be willing to help? -
Yes they all do this unless you have the optional Hill Hold . I think this option should be standard, but it isn't. The way I overcome this issue is to restart the engine, whilst still having my foot on the brake. This can be done by either switching off the Stop/start system for a moment, or as I do by just touching the accelerator pedal. I find this works and there is very little, if any, roll back. A small fault with a great gearbox.

I am one of those sad people who log every litre of fuel and mile that my car does, The end result is as below, most of my driving is long runs. I could bore you with the results of each and every fill up, but I am sure you can only take so much trivia. I always fill the tank to the brim and record the speedo reading each time. Miles/Day Days Total Miles Litres Cost MPG p/mile 69.72 579 40,369 3,894 4,851 47.06 £ 0.1202

Yes, thank you. I have done this on my previous Superb, but when you get to my age, sometimes you foget. Thans again. Will check the version later today.

Thanks that's really helpful.

Can someone remind me how to get the screen that shows the versions on my Columbus? I have recently had the unit changed and I would like to know what version was installed.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to add Hill Hold to my car by adjusting the settings. This is the one extra my car does not have and I do regret not having it.

Just bought two Sirius wheels from Skoda Parts ( Bickertons Sheffield). Paid just over £320 inc delivery, spoke to parts guy before ordering online, really helpful and friendly. He confirmed they were the correct parts. Delivery was within 5 days. Fantastic service, quality, waiting until new tyres required and will then make the swap. Currently just under 20 K so new tyres due in 2-3 K. Will deal with scuffs on old wheels and then decide what to do with them.

Have you thought of buying new wheels? No, I am not mad the link below will get you a brand new Sirius wheel in the box from Skoda for £158.22. A bit more than a repair, but much better. http://www.skodaparts.com/product/superb-alloy-wheel-18-inch-sirius-2013-2014-50651

I have recently changed my 170 DSG hatch, for a newish 170 K & K Estate [1600 miles on the clock], However the hatch had done 115K without a single problem and just like you I thought seriously about the change. One question is about the cam belt and water pump, both are due for a change at 4 years or 100K and will cost about £400, still probably less than changing the car. I still think I could have held off the change for at least another 30K miles, but the L & K is fab, and I have done 10K since January. You pays your money and takes a chance, either way you will enjoy the cars.

Bluetooth Phone issue L & K F?L Estate
TerryJP replied to TerryJP's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Thanks to everyone who has replied. Three great ideas for me to try. Thanks again -
Has anyone had this problem? When I receive a phone via the Bluetooth connection I sometimes only get the phone number appear and not the name of the caller, even when the name is in the car phone directory. Has anyone experienced this and could I have a suggestion as to how to resolve this problem. My car is a L & K facelift estate and my previous superb always showed the name if it was known to the system and just the number if the caller was not known.

New L & K Estate Will not read out SMS texts
TerryJP replied to TerryJP's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Heard from Skoda UK. The facelift models do not have the facility to read out text messages from the MFD/Maxi dot panel. The message can be read out via Columbus -Phone - SMS screen. I think it is called progress! -

Are you aware that you can now get an L and K with black or Ivory interiors? http://www.skoda.net.r66.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=604143632# This is my car, and I love it. The dash and steering wheel are brown, but quite dark.

Thanks to everyone who replied, still unsure of what is going wrong. This is the latest spec car and it is quite annoying to have the problem.
