  1. Hi B, did the DRLs work before? I had a 2008 Roomster and that didn't have any fitted, i fitted some myself. It also didn't have Auto lights either.
  2. Hi M, whats it like in Scotland at the moment. Welcome, what colour is the car?
  3. Hi R, go on, you know you want to. 😉
  4. Oh, and dont forget that other "little" thing, the Haldex. 😳
  5. Right, so you dont want to be stuck doing 50mph with a caravan. Thats why i got a full size spare.
  6. Hi D, if your doing towing I would suggest getting a full size wheel and tyre.
  7. Hi A, nut, not you, might get one local tyre fitter, they often have some just lying around. Wheel and toolkit, ebay, or someone might have some on this or for sale site.
  8. Hi L, dont want to get too complicated, two wheels off the ground 🤔
  9. So its ok to put DSG in neutral without runnig engine, and not getting all the signs come up on dash telling you how stupid you are.
  10. Recently fitted some new wheels, so i thought, hubs need tidying up, rust, shouldn't take long, whip wheel off, paint hub, put wheel back on. Now this is my first DSG, on a Scout, and didn't really think about it till i got the paint out. How do i paint where the brake calipers are, put wheel back on, put two bolts back in, drop jack, move car, jack car back up, take wheel off, paint hub, put wheel back on, bolts back in, drop jack, all this on four wheels. I may be missing something here, is it more simple than that? 🤔
  11. Hi S, your right, its not illegal. I think TW was talking about the silver on black number plate. I was pulled over once for having such plates, but i was in a 1973 car, it was registered before the new type number plate law came in. Have a safe journey sir. 🚔
  12. Bit like tfspark, car was great by itself, but towing, it was like being on a boat on the sea. 🤮
  13. Hi N, yes yes, you've got everything, but have you located the locking wheel nut on the wheels? The cover for the locking wheel nut is easy to spot, its round, they were on mine.
  14. Hi K, the only thing I can help you with is, the polystyrene insert, i had to shave off the bits that stick out to make it fit, easy job, but just take your time to make it look neat. After all that, i just realised you have 16in wheels, mine are 17in. You may have to put tools in a wrap?
  15. Ye, their still doing smaller bits.
  16. My 2008 Scout had a removable panel, i do think it was specifically for fitting a tow bar. When my tow bar was fitted, it was linked to the fuse box at the front. There is a picture of it somewhere on the site, it was fitted in 2018.
  17. Was only a small part, but had also ordered a part that was long, that was the part I had to get a refund for.
  18. Lookin good for a '96'. 👍
  19. Didn't know you could get blue one's. Might be worth fitting some in the front grill ready for the traffic jams when we all go on holiday. 🤔🤣
  20. Mine didn't show properly in the reflector next to the mirror from Ali.
  21. Concerns. 1, Dont worry about other people. 2, Should not think there would be a problem, unless it's slammed to the floor. 3, DSG, brilliant for towing.
  22. Hi N, not being funny, actually yes i am, if you love them that much, take a picture of them, get it enlarged, frame it, and hang in the garage, it will be much cheaper in the end. Then find some Skoda specific wheels with a lower et than normal, it will be alot less hassle. Thats what i did after fitting some none Skoda wheels. 👀
  23. ET would be ok. 112 to 120 stud pattern, got to be some sort of adapter? Then there's the spare wheel. I think the fact that I'm the only person that has posted anything, sort of tells you something.
