Pictures of my vrs wrc :-)
goonybird replied to Vrs wrc 71/100's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Wondered why people in front slow down -
Seem to remember with my Superb Tdi130 comfort, that sticking my finger over the front sensor on the mirror made it go light at night? maybe try taping it over?
-
What about just relocating the standard SMIC to the front? Anybody tried? I was thinking even two smics in series

Shoot em up is ok. One of the only discs I have found with 7.1 sound. Really annoys me that we have had systems capable of 7.1 upwards for nearly 10 years, now on DTS HD Digital , yet try finding a disc!

Def go Freesat. Humax boxes good. I have FortecStar HD and since added rotator and dish. Cost about £70 motor, £40 dish and can now pick up foreign TV. So a lot of football and motorsport free to view albeit foreign commentary.

Hi Look here: http://octavia-vrs.com/cms/content/mfd-install-guide and here: http://vwnavi.com/forum.php If you have just the unit its easier to buy the adpator set which includes a GPS aerial, Iso Adaptor lead, Radio removal keys. Ebay jobbie (Polish ebayers seem to be OK.)have a search as Uk available as well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Plug-Play-SET-VW-MFD-AUDI-SAT-NAV-CABLE-ADAPTER-ANTENNA-/250540813562?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems&hash=item3a55656cfa Also the unit will not play CDs as needs Satnav disk in it to work, so either VW external 6CD changer or get a Audio adaptor to plug in MP3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-AUDI-mfd-rns-Aux-IN-Input-Adapter-IPOD-MP3-AUX-/270713532267?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item3f07c8af6b If you need Sat nav disk VW/SEAT/Skoda or Blaupunkt DX Tele Atlas will work. I got UK 2004 for about a tenner. Note not advisable to copy as very tricky process as well as illegal! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tele-Atlas-United-Kingdom-/290626687702?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item43aab352d6 Finally Quick Instruction manual download here: http://www.smvcommercials.co.uk/uploads/userguides/colour%20sat%20nav%20user%20guide.pdf

Side bumper strips could have been added at any time in its life. Spoiler on WRC Vrs is same as standard vRS spoiler as in first picture. -
Neuspeed Rear ARB or H&S front and rear
goonybird replied to Obrut's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
With advice from here I have a Neuspeed 25mm Rear cost about £85 S/H and just bought an unused R32 Front ARB off a VW dealer on ebay for £55 (note they are now £110) Just need bushes to fit front. and time..... -
Ok FARB arrived. So which Bushes. VW powerflex (not keen coz of color!) or possibly Red to match neuspeed rear bushes? any recommendations.
-
So got a new R32 Front ARB coming, to complement the rear 25mm. What do I need to fit it. Is it just the 2x bushes, or do I need brackets as well? and will it fit the existing droplinks? any recommendations appreciated

Thank you for your help. Steffi

Briskoda 2012 Calendar Submission Thread
goonybird replied to BriskodaCalendar's topic in Off Topic Chat
Haven't quite got the scenery of Rob's location :( "Portrait" "Landscape" Steffi -
Looks good. Are you going to post a schematic?
-
Just fitted Neuspeed 25mm RARB today. set at middle setting for now. Quite happy car doesn't feel too different. Rear feels like it turns in better than before to the point of feeling towards oversteer, but breakaway is neutral when it starts to let go.

me Worth buying a copy of WotSat (What Satellite) magazine. Loads of kit and info out there.

TRAX 2011 :: Silverstone :: PAYMENT THREAD
goonybird replied to RoadWarrior's topic in Big Shows & Events
Same here. First I've seen of this thread. Was between this or edition 38 at Overstone. Still not sure but probably Trax if there is a Briskoda contingent. -
Tried retrimming a cloth armrest with leather an it looked horrible. ended up buying new leather topped part for about £50. The lid does come off. There is a trick to carefully prising the hinge away from the inside of the armrest box. I found a guide somewhere on internet. Try searching "Golf Armrest" as more info than with octavia.

227 Mph SKODA Octavia vRS Breaks Landspeed Record At Bonneville
goonybird replied to ColinD's topic in Motoring News
I hope they make a film/programme on this. -
Digging this up again. Just bought a Neuspeed 25mm RARB with 3 point adjustment. I really want to leave the front arb alone. I believe stock FARB is 19mm? I have a suspicion reading this thread that someone will recommend fitting a 22/23mm front arb R32 etc. Any comments would be helpful.
